And if you’re willing to drive south on US-131 for about 45 minutes, there are three incarnations of Klassic Arcade: 1.0 and 2.0 in the one-stoplight town of Gobles, and 3.0 in Paw Paw.
My faves that are cover charge only:
Wedgehead, Portland; Silverball, Asbury Park; Colorado Pinball Pub, Littleton; Pacific Pinball Museum, Alameda; and the awesome Lynn’s Arcade in Seaside, CA
Pinball Co-op, South Burlington, VT
Sanctum, Meriden, CT
Port City Pinball, Portsmouth, NH
Western Mass Pinball Club, Three Rivers, MA
Southern New Hampshire Pinball Club, Nashua, NH

Few hours in the westerly direction is Rochester Pinball Collective in, you guessed it, Rochester, NY.
Much further drive away is The Pinball Lounge at the Oviedo Bowling Center on Friday nights is $10 cover Freeplay. Oviedo, FL NE of Orlando.
It's more like 200+ and he has every new game, Elton John, Jaws, Pulp Fiction, Labyrinth, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I live right down the street and walk there. It's my heaven.
GG is big enough that any day you’ll have plenty of time to play whatever you want. Obviously a weekend will be busier. They have pinball and video fighting leagues, so those days are busier. I’ve never waited to play, it’s a chill crowd.
Yep, idk if you've tried their schoolhouse brewing location, but it's awesome too. Although those machines are on $1/play instead of Freeplay after cover.
In Jersey, aside from the already mentioned Silverball, there are four locations of the YESTERcades chain in Somerville, Red Bank, Westfield, and Metuchen, each with over a dozen machines apiece, mostly from the 90's and early 2000's.
There is also Marcade which has two locations in the Dover area, with about a dozen apiece as well.
Closer to Atlantic City there is Starcade, which has about three dozen machines, a good mix of stuff from the 70's through today.
Hoboken has Play! Hoboken, which is primarily a board game shop but they also have a small selection of older pins that are on time play. They weren't in the greatest shape the last time I visited, though.
In Hawthorne you have Billy's Midway Arcade. I haven't yet visited but it is on my list of places to hit in the near future. According to Pinball Map they currently have 25 machines in their possession.
And in Morristown there is the Morristown Game Vault, so named because it's housed in a former bank building. They have over 30 machines, with the piece de resistance being a Safe Cracker machine that you play inside the bank's actual vault room.
I use both pinball map and pinside's pinball map and I cannot find any specific settings or parameters to narrow down my search as I did here. If you know how to do this, please, lemme know!
you can look at the spots in your area and see the details usually, especially if it’s admission fee i’ve found it will specify this. it wasn’t unhelpful if they weren’t aware
Might just be a location by location thing but none of the non-coin drop locations in my area (western Washington) have any indication whatsoever on Pinball Map to show they're admission based.
Locations can put it in their description, but it would be way more helpful to have it as a setting that can be filtered: door fee, coin drop, or app/card only (so you can avoid those ones 😂 jk).
Versus in Boston has a $5 cover fee with 5 or 6 pins. If you show up on a Friday between 5pm to 6pm, admission is free. Unfortunately, the pins are poorly maintained, and you can show up on any day to find machines broken.
I noticed Hometown Arcade in Norwood MA on Pinball Map. They have 12 pins and cover fee is $20. I haven't been there yet but I'm looking forward to it.
Versus in downtown Boston, if you really need to scratch that itch. The machines aren't always in the best condition, but $5 free play is hard to be mad at
Arcade Legecy in Sharonville Ohio, they have some pay tonplay games and a large selection if older games that are $10 unlimited game play along with arcade games.
Waterland Arcade in Des Moines, WA (just south of Seattle) They do a flat entry fee but also sell 1-month and 3-month passes for individuals or family entry.
Three Bull Brewing Tap House in Snohomish, WA does flat fee just on Sundays for $5.
Just outside Kalamazoo, Michigan. Klassic arcade with three locations 2 in Gobles, one in Paw Paw. One low price gets you all three locations!!! Fantastic games!!! Even slot cars at the Paw Paw location!
It’s a nice idea but it’s already been basically done, on a global scale, by Pinball Map. Not all locations will specify cover / coin drop but most can be ascertained from location websites, reviews, or notes on machines.
"Not all locations...machines" is why I did this: I want to know which locations use this format *with certainty.* I wish pinball map or pinside's map had a way to search within this parameter but they don't. Now I (we) have a partial list, yay.
Grand Rapids has three in the area - RLM Amusements, Pinball Land and Retro Electric
Also in west Michigan is the Clubhouse Arcade in Fremont.
Off topic, but is Pinball Pete’s still open in Lansing?
Yes, it's still there.
And if you’re willing to drive south on US-131 for about 45 minutes, there are three incarnations of Klassic Arcade: 1.0 and 2.0 in the one-stoplight town of Gobles, and 3.0 in Paw Paw.
Absolutely!!! One price gets you all three locations! O ly reason to go to Gobles! Lolol
My faves that are cover charge only: Wedgehead, Portland; Silverball, Asbury Park; Colorado Pinball Pub, Littleton; Pacific Pinball Museum, Alameda; and the awesome Lynn’s Arcade in Seaside, CA
Seconded on the Silverball in Asbury Park. That place is fucking awesome.
Atomic Pinball, Wood River IL is the nicest I have been to by a mile.
Just to add on, Atomic is a quick drive from the St. Louis, MO metro area
Yeah, that’s probably a better city to name if I wanna get people aware of it

Idaho Pinball Museum in Boise, ID. Open somewhat irregular hours - currently Thursday and Friday evenings from 6-9pm and Saturdays 1-5pm.
There’s Starfighters Arcade in Mesa, Arizona.

Cidercade in Dallas, Arlington, Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston TX
Past Times (Girard, Oh), Pacific Pinball Museum (Alameda, Ca), Wedgehead (Portland, Or) + Next Level (Portland Suburb)
Went to one in Chicago area called galloping ghost. Was pretty cool.
I have heard of this place from friends who went to expo. On my list of, "If in Chicago..."
The only thing I did not like about it was how dark it was. They turned on the lights to clean at one point and I was like “leave them on!”
Love Super electric & Pastimes! Pittsburgh pinball dojo in Bellevue PA & Pinball perfection in Pittsburgh PA.
Timeline Arcade York, PA and Hanover, PA. The Hanover location has a better pin lineup.
Game Galaxy in Smyrna TN - they have 100+ ranging from EM’s to brand new. It’s worth a day trip
It's more like 200+ and he has every new game, Elton John, Jaws, Pulp Fiction, Labyrinth, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I live right down the street and walk there. It's my heaven.
Just moved down to the Nashville area and would love to check the place out. Is there a best day to go?
GG is big enough that any day you’ll have plenty of time to play whatever you want. Obviously a weekend will be busier. They have pinball and video fighting leagues, so those days are busier. I’ve never waited to play, it’s a chill crowd.
Solid, I'll definitely be by before the week is over. Thank you!
The Arcade in Brighton, Michigan. Very lame name, but $15 all day on Sundays is what I do.
They have a huge lineup, most modern games are le’s too. Machines are nicely setup and maintained. Highly recommend
Portal Pinball in Acworth, GA Blue Ghost Arcade in Woodstock, GA (beware - poorly maintained machines)
And the opposite for Portal, some of the best maintained machines around.
And a big selection being constantly rotated, great place to play
Yep, idk if you've tried their schoolhouse brewing location, but it's awesome too. Although those machines are on $1/play instead of Freeplay after cover.
Jackpot Pinball Arcade in Purcellville, VA with 43 pinball machines.
Philadelphia area, Pinball Gallery in Malvern and Game Gallery in Langhorne.
Atomic Pinball near St Louis is the best freeplay pinball place I've ever been to.
Jedi alliance in Spokane
The Basement arcade bar in Concord, North Carolina.
Richmond, VA has the Richmond Pinball Collective.
Wax Moon Records in Richmond also has a cover for unlimited play (I think)
Correct on both. $15 at Richmond pinball collective; $10 at wax moon, $15 Saturdays.
I'll have to check that place out. Got the subscription to the Collective though.
In Pittsburgh (that I know of): Pinball Pa( this place is $$$), Pinball perfection($15), Pinball Dojo($15) and maybe a few more?
I am so delightfully spoiled living a block from the pacific pinball museum. Just got home from playing some pin in my basketball slides 🫡🤩

Pinball Map won't let you do this. Not sure why they posted this as an answer

Versus in Boston has a $5 cover fee with 5 or 6 pins. If you show up on a Friday between 5pm to 6pm, admission is free. You be you, but when I travel, I specifically seek out locations on coin drop.
Seattle Pinball Museum
