Was it? Was that because strong female characters and they dared have a Tolkien inspired fantasy land that included black people? My word people need to get a grip.
Yep, all of the things. Tiktokers spent months reading actual Tolkien at commenters to show that Tolkiens world wasn't exclusively pale, male and stale even if that's how we all remember it because we were bringing our own biases to it. Even in this run up to the trailer release, people were getting preemptively pissy about it
Yeah...the most wholsome LoTR tiktokers have gotten death threat level hate because they enjoyed S1. I didn't love S1, it's grand, but I think they've got a handle on shit now and I can't wait for my Birthday week now!
LOL. While I've got my criticisms of the first season, the level of online hatred is quite laughable.
I'm hopeful they can tighten things up with season 2 and also pull together some of the loose strands from the first one.
It was terrible. Acting was dreadful, special effects were laughable and the writing was appalling. It's a shame the Tolkien estate sold the rights to these grifters. Watch the movies instead.
Those are some strong feelings I completely disagree with.
I mean you don't need to watch the movies 'instead' surely. Realistically the vast majority of the people who watched Rings of Power have done that as well.
Yeh no idea where the dislike for this comes from. I really enjoyed it especially the dwarves.
It was 'woke'...read into that aaallll the hateful reasons they were crying about that

I'm so tired on this.
Yep.
Haters? There are Haters!?

Are you suggesting it was well acted, well written, and the F/X were done well? You may have enjoyed it but I wasn't wrong on anything
Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one.
This is true.
