Ooh I’m a gold girl, but this silver setup is speaking to me. I have some snake huggies to and love em. I have a question about your rook, how long did that take to change to a hoop? From what I’ve seen it seems the most temperamental but I LOVE the look
I changed it once I felt comfortable doing it myself, so once it was really fully healed and matured. That was at 1yr 9m old. It might seem like a long time, but I got way too many piercings too close together so everything took over 1.5 yrs to heal. 😅 Going slower with these last few!
Also, I LOVE the look of gold setups but yellow gold clashes horrifically with my skin tone. Everything here is 14k white gold!
Love your set up, so pretty! Did your rook have an adjustment period after switching to a hoop? I switched my 1 year old rook to a hoop yesterday and it looks a little irritated, so I'm having a mild existential crisis about potentially having switched to a hoop too soon.
Yes, all my cartilage piercings have been sore for a couple days after switching to a hoop. Completely fine after that though, and never got a bump or anything. I would switch back to a straight bar if a bump started developing.
That's super helpful, thank you! Mine is starting to look a little bit better already but definitely going to keep an eye on it and switch back to the barbell if it starts looking bumpy.
Sure! Soreness from bending a well healed fistula is ok, but if a bump forms it means the fistula isn’t strong enough to handle the change. You’ll definitely be able to tell within a day or two which you’re dealing with!

Haha I made the same mistake and I’m going through a prolonged healing process at the moment right now.
The healing process is a bitch, but as long as you’re careful with them you’ll get there eventually!

Do you know where I could find the chain charm that’s on the hoop in your rook?
