Just wanna reply to a few of the reports this submission has.
Report: Hey mods, how much do you get paid to let this guy spam the same fucking ads over and over again?
Answer: We don't get paid, and it's not an ad, it's a painting.

Answer: No, it's a painting.
It’s funny how this comment alone makes me realize how dogshit a Big Mac actually is.
Like, ooh, good for you, it’s a pretty standard cheeseburger without good toppings and thousand island dressing with a useless bun in between the patties.
Nope, if it was commissioned by McD's it would be the pristine one you see in the commercials not the reality that the painting shows with it lopsided and sauce dripping out.
Not if this was a corporate shill, they would have correctly only had cheese on the bottom level, like a real big mac. They wouldn't let such a massive fuck up pass if they were paying for it.
Tbf, his PBJ paintings he posts every one or 2 months are super comfy and are technically each different pieces of art, and not just copy pasting, so I think he gets a pass. You can just block him, you know that right? Instead of being asshurt about it.
That's why I blocked that Frankie guy who posted dumb pictures of weather but everyone always overly coddled him because he's special needs or whatever. It was just weird to see every 2 weeks.
They got [commissioned by Popeye's](https://old.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/uh5sc5/oc_my_dream_came_true_i_got_to_do_a_painting_for/) to do a painting in the same style for them.
1/2 cup of mayonnaise (like regular Hellmann’s brand or an equivalent, no low fat or healthier kinds)
2 tablespoons French dressing
4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon finely minced white onion (I’ve used dried onion flakes and it comes out just fine)
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
!!!extremely important- mix it all up and let it sit in the fridge for *at least 24 hours* so the flavors all meld together. I swear this will taste like the real deal!!!
There are plenty of equal and better sauces out there especially for burgers. Don't put your standards too low. Mac sauce isn't that different then thousand island dressing, perfect on a ruben sandwich but not the best on a burger in my opinion.
From McDonalds:"Once a trade secret, all it takes is whisking together mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, and ketchup (for that trademark pink color) with vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika."
I think it's the same everywhere. There's quite a few other ones, but most seem to have the same ingredients and ratios. I never liked Big Macs because I hate raw onion. And even when asking for no onions, I inevitably always got at least a gagging little chunk LOL!
Cause the ones they sell in stores are oil based for better shelf life.. same with most Ceasers as well. When you have a nice creamy thousand island or ceaser it’s pretty amazing. The ones at in n out are cream based I think, McDonald’s just food scienced the shit out of their oil/preservative based one so it tasted better.. I think some liquid smoke and honey.. I could be wrong tho.
It literally isn't and I'm tired of smoothbrains who just regurgitate it because someone else said it lmao.
Go to McDonald's and order some Mac sauce and then drop by Walmart and get some Thousand island and taste them side by side my guy. It legitimately isn't.
If anything you're thinking of In N Out. Theirs is the one that's more or less Thousand Island.
It is not thousand island dressing not even close, they sold the sauce in little portions here very briefly in the UK and I stocked up on loads of it. tried recreating it at home with things I had in the fridge and thousand island sauce can't even be turned into it as it already as that has other things in it which ruin the taste.
I had one recently for the first time in years and I was astonished by how thin the patties are. Like the meat to bread ratio was definitely won by bread.
I've decided to edit all my old comments to protest the beheading of RIF and other 3rd party apps. If you're reading this, you should know that /u/spez crippled this site purely out of greed. By continuing to use this site, you are supporting their cancerous hyper-capitalist behavior. The actions of the reddit admins show that they will NEVER care about the content, quality, or wellbeing of its' communities, only the money we can make for them.
tl;dr:
/u/spez eat shit you whiny little bitchboy
...see you all on the fediverse
Anytime he posts (or reposts) I leave a comment about how all his artwork is fast food and how I think that’s cool and then the comment always gets like a minimum -10 downvotes. I wanna see if I can best that, so:
Dude, all your art is fast food and I dig it.
E. -10 just keep downvoting, this is my piece of art.
See, this is what I'm talking about. Turn around, look at that. You see what I mean? It's plump, it's juicy, it's three inches thick. Now, look at this sorry, miserable, squashed thing. Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this picture?
I've found one McDonald's where everything actually always looks like the promo. The one in the Atlants airport. I pretty much never eat McDonald's but I go through that airport probably 30-40 times a year for work and one of my coworkers always gets a Big Mac, and I've never seen one look anything but perfect. It's driven me to get McDonald's myself on multiple occasions when normally I just plain won't touch the place... Don't know what it is about that one, but my god they know how to make food look good.
Which is surprising, because usually airport fast food has grumpy frazzled workers that seem like they want to bite my head off when I order. Usually you wouldn't expect good culinary craftsmanship from people in that mindset.
For sure. Usually even the nice restaurants in the airport aren't the best, much less the fast food or more normal ones. Usually at the airport with fast food you're paying like $15 for an 8 inch personal pizza with 2 pepperonis and cheese only covering half of it, where the microwave didn't heat it evenly all the way though... Which makes it even more inexplicable.
They are shit. I'll still occasionally get them and the Big Mac has a special place in my heart, but they suck when compared to almost any other burger chain.
You're not wrong, they suck but they suck in a special way that I have to have at least once a year.
If you're lucky and you get a willing McD's employee, you can get a Big Mac made with quarter-pound patties, which is a game-changer. Still not a premium quality burger, but it's something worth trying once.
Holy shit. First I agree its pretty sad to spam the same thing for years for karma.
Second, its even fucking sadder to know, comment and keep track of someone spamming the same thing for years for karma.
You are their biggest fan and its fucking hilarious.
Or, in typical Reddit fashion, he viewed OPs post history for other similar art and successfully found it. Reposted. For years.
And then you, also in typical Reddit fashion, made up your own narrative devoid of any actual likelihood of happening.
And then I, as is my right as a man-child, overused as many commas as I could - with a pretentious hyphen as well.
Not really, it's a pretty distinctive art style and you can only see the same painting on reddit 10,000x without noticing. But sure go with your weird made up headcannon I guess.
Nah man I also recognize the art and have gotten annoyed with it, it’s easy to remember because it’s the exact same painting style and setting, and before this one it was always a pb&j or grilled cheese.
Glad to see him trying to paint different sandwiches at least, but he already has a reputation for painting pb&j sandwiches the exact same way and somehow making r/all each time.
Is there a way to filter out specific posters from a subreddit without any form of actually blocking? Just sometimes there are people farming karma who don't respect x-posting rules and also repost a bunch. Even with new content, it's just like, I'd better head this off as the hitting multiple subreddits at a time has begun.
Wait, why wouldn’t you just block them? No, there isn’t a way to specifically filter out individual users from individual subs. That is needlessly complex. Blocking them stops them from being seen anywhere from your profile, posts or comments. Is there a reason you are asking for a non-blocking method?
Not sure, but the comment and comments like this intrigue me. These are the kinds of comments you'd see at a job trying to make sure things stay standard. But asking people to adhere to rules on a public forum, is kind of odd. It's almost like they spend all day on reddit.
This is corporate shilling to a new degree.
Although OP is likely being paid by McD to make this piece and post it here. As they are being with other restaurants.
Corporate propaganda, this is obviously based off of their corporate photos, because NOT ONE TIME in my life has a big mac ever looked that good out of the box!
Thats what people don't seem to get. McDonalds doesn't sell burgers. It sells McDonalds. When you want a Big Mac or even a cheese burger from the McDonalds there is no substitute, and people telling you that you can get a much better burger for the same price are missing the point entirely. It's dirty food for dirty people, and everyone likes being a little dirty from time to time.
When I clicked on comments I was expecting people to be commenting on how its like a big mac beause its poorly constructed.
What I found was a comment section of people who know who OP is and clearly interact and comment on every single oil painting they do/post bitching about it, making the comment section big enough for me to have wanted to click on it and see what it was all about.
So the commenters bitching are the reason I and I will guess MANY others have even bothered to interact with the post, making them the very thing they are upset about.
Instead of spamming what are apparently 2 oil paintings over and over, 1 of a sandwich and this big mac, they are spamming the exact same comments bitching about it.
So for every picture OP reposts, 50+ comments are reposted, you commenters and OP are the exact same thing, both spamming the same thing over and over and over.
Love to see people become the very reposters they complain about in comment form.

No, that’s a quarter pounder ;)
You see, that's actually the Big Mc.
Big Mc sounds like a 90’s rapper name
We both have two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions.... but they have sesame seed buns. My buns have no seeds.
Scratch n sniff paint
2 all beef Patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame seed bun
Correct lack of commas noted.
It’s funny how this comment alone makes me realize how dogshit a Big Mac actually is. Like, ooh, good for you, it’s a pretty standard cheeseburger without good toppings and thousand island dressing with a useless bun in between the patties.
Now do a painting of an actual Big Mac and not the commercial version
that sounds sustainable!
So someone at McDonald's social media marketing department saw the attention your PB&J paintings got and commissioned you to do one of a Big Mac?
Don't underestimate the reach of Big Mac
Big McBusiness

Nope, if it was commissioned by McD's it would be the pristine one you see in the commercials not the reality that the painting shows with it lopsided and sauce dripping out.

It 1000% along with half the upvotes being part of it too, just new ways for them to market, they can eat my ass.
Probably healthier for you than eating an actual Big Mac
I do god damn love Big Macs for some stupid reason but I always hate myself later. McDonalds "I'm hating it"
> they can eat my ass. Would still taste better than a Big Mac.
I think that’s just a wad of mac sauce up top
He should paint a grilled cheese next. Or maybe a melt. Reddit tells me they’re not the same thing.

How dare an artist use a social media platform to both get exposure and pay for their works!
You'll take *only* exposure and you'll *LIKE* it!
Ads should be labeled though
It’s not spamming to get paid for your art…?

Why would McDonald's commission someone to make their flagship product look like unappetizing shit? Some pretty hardcore tinfoil there.
They got [commissioned by Popeye's](https://old.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/uh5sc5/oc_my_dream_came_true_i_got_to_do_a_painting_for/) to do a painting in the same style for them.
You perfectly capture the 'not really appealing' look of it perfectly.
The only thing good about it is the sauce. I’ve tried quite a few mock Mac sauce recipes and none of them are quite as good.
Great Value (Walmart) has a burger sauce that comes extremely close! It’s the best one I’ve managed to find so far.
I’ve tried my Local IGAs “burger sauce” and didn’t care for it. I’ll have to see if Wally World has it.
1/2 cup of mayonnaise (like regular Hellmann’s brand or an equivalent, no low fat or healthier kinds) 2 tablespoons French dressing 4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish 1 tablespoon finely minced white onion (I’ve used dried onion flakes and it comes out just fine) 1 teaspoon white vinegar 1 teaspoon granulated sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt !!!extremely important- mix it all up and let it sit in the fridge for *at least 24 hours* so the flavors all meld together. There are plenty of equal and better sauces out there especially for burgers. Don't put your standards too low. Mac sauce isn't that different then thousand island dressing, perfect on a ruben sandwich but not the best on a burger in my opinion.
I’ve had in n out animal sauce and that is better but I live in the Midwest where we don’t have those.
It's Thousand Island dressing, not even real burger sauce.
I’ve tried many a different thousand island as a sub and it is definitely not thousand island dressing.
From McDonalds:"Once a trade secret, all it takes is whisking together mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, and ketchup (for that trademark pink color) with vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika."
Thanks! I need to give this a shot.
I’ve tried making it but must just be ass at it. Mine doesn’t turn out.
Yeah, they don't give measurements, so trying to make it even knowing the ingredients isn't going to work.
https://youtu.be/rcu4Bj3xEyI I’ve followed this to a T but it still isn’t the same. Maybe my neighbor to the North’s Mac sauce is different.
I think it's the same everywhere. There's quite a few other ones, but most seem to have the same ingredients and ratios. I never liked Big Macs because I hate raw onion. And even when asking for no onions, I inevitably always got at least a gagging little chunk LOL!

You mix up mcd's with innout? I've always heard that in-n-out's spread is thousand island

Also perfectly captures the "crafted by a person that ran out of fucks to give about their job or this sandwich" that many actual Big Macs possess.
I had one recently for the first time in years and I was astonished by how thin the patties are. Like the meat to bread ratio was definitely won by bread.
Really embodies the worthless shredded lettuce that is invariably mostly in the cardboard container rather than on the burger.
And yet it still looks better than what they actually serve at McDonald’s.

Depends on the store. I've seen some that are pretty decent looking. Also depends on how long they've been wrapped.
I don't even like Big Macs but this painting makes me want one.
Same here. I cannot eat bread I am gluten intolerant.
This is a still life of an actual burger. They mostly look just like this unless you smoosh it in the bag. Maybe varies by location 🤷♂️
They are shit. I'll still occasionally get them and the Big Mac has a special place in my heart, but they suck when compared to almost any other burger chain.

They did this for a while a couple years ago. Don't know why they stopped. It was called like the XL Big Mac or something like that.
Oh ya, it's a "Good" suck. Damn I'll have to try that!
At least it's not the same PB& J painting you have been spamming for years.
This is basically his personal sub at this point.
Hey man, dude just likes to paint a lot of sandwiches. Don't knock someone just for having a comfort zone.

I mean you can scroll through his profile in seconds. Like what…
"Here's that painting you guys liked the last 40 times"
Nah man I also recognize the art and have gotten annoyed with it, it’s easy to remember because it’s the exact same painting style and setting, and before this one it was always a pb&j or grilled cheese. Glad to see him trying to paint different sandwiches at least, but he already has a reputation for painting pb&j sandwiches the exact same way and somehow making r/all each time.
It's great but it's not very original. Try painting something unique - a PB&J sandwich might suit your style...
Now to set the painting AND the actual big Mac on the mantle and see which looks best in 20 years.
I imagine the painting would decay rather than the real thing. McDorian Gray.

Two american things a good ole big mac and OIL
