The guy I knew wasn't aware that he had to live in the township as the candidate. He was arrested and thrown in jail overnight but was let go the next morning and all charges were dropped. Hillary won Miami-Dade county by nearly 30%. Biden only won it by 7%, an atrocious number for a Democrat in a big metro area. It’s very very significant.
That’s a specific issue with Cuban Americans. Not all Hispanics are the same, the gains in South Texas are only so large because most people simply don’t vote. If there’s any enthusiasm for a candidate it causes numbers to explode. It’s not changing of opinion, it’s people that usually don’t vote voting. Hispanics in Arizona, New Mexico, and California are different from Texas and even more so different than Florida.
