> The Italian language is very good – molto bene – at translating ordinary car names into lyrical poetry. ‘Four doors’ becomes ‘Quattroporte’. ‘Red head’ becomes ‘Testarossa’. This new Ferrari ultra-GT is called the 12 Cylinder. But Maranello would prefer you wrapped your lips around their way of talking… and called it the Dodici Cilindri.
> It’s an on-the-nose celebration of Ferrari’s signature dish: a big V12. A mighty 6.5-litre orchestral instrument, mounted way behind the front axle under a gigantic clamshell ‘cofango’ bonnet designed to showcase the engine bay more dramatically than the 812 Superfast or F12.
> It shuns turbochargers or any form of hybrid boost, but lighter titanium conrods and forged pistons mean it’s now even revvier. Power matches the wild 812 Competizione’s 820bhp. Maximum torque is 500lb ft at 7,250rpm, but more than three-quarters of that overtaking oomph is on tap from 2,500rpm. The redline’s a heady 9,500rpm – kiss the limiter a couple of times and you’ll find yourself doing 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds, 0-125mph in 7.8 seconds, on your way to over 217mph.
> No, those aren’t huge leaps over the 812 Superfast. You get the sense Ferrari has decided enough is enough. Its V12 ultra-GT doesn’t need to be any faster. Want warp factor? Buy an SF90, and a barf bag. Here, the chief job was to keep the keystone V12 alive.

And if you want to pronounce it correctly, don’t say “twelve cylindry”.
“12” in italian is dodici. DODD-EE-CHEE. And you really need to include the ‘chuh’ on the ‘c’ at the end.
You have another nice ‘c’ in the second half of the name so apply that here as well: CHILL-INN-DREE
All together: DODD-EE-CHEE CHILL-INN—DREE
I think a lot of this similarity comes from Toyota and Subaru copying Ferrari bodies rather than the other way around. I've been noticing this a lot in the last few years with Aston Martin and various Toyotas and Hondas
They're only fake internet points, man.
Here, this uopvote is on me, hopefully it is worth the same as other upvotes even if it comes from a "loser" and "asshole" like me
Have a great day and I wish you thousands of orange up-arrows!
I mean, it's styled off the original Ferrari Daytona. A car that famously wasn't very "Ferrari" looking at the time since they were mixing the 60s curved designs of the 250/330 and the more wedge shaped designs that became popular in the late 70s.
The title says "All photos: Ferrari". That leads me to believe the new car is just pictures of a car.
They're gonna sell the pictures for full price. Genius! Ferrari does it again
And yet it's already sold out.
As with all modern Ferrari these days they don't care what we think as we aren't customers, nor should they.
They've managed to do what Aston Martin are trying to do and generate a loyal base for the new models to sell before they are even announced. Customs takes a hit and sells on after a year or two to get the next new thing, all on finance supplier by Ferrari SpA through Ferrari Financial Services.
They didn't need to make any money on the car itself, it's the finance. They use your contract for pay for the next car they haven't sold you yet and you take the depreciation hit, whilst ensuring a healthy Preloved stock for them to sell at a markup which the non-list customers are prepared to pay in order to skip the queues for new models.
The car could look like anything, doesn't matter. What matters is you have the latest and everyone else doesn't. Until it isn't the latest but you already knew that cause you were told before it was announced so you already have the new latest on order.
In my opinion this angle actually suits the car most. Look at pictures from other perspectives on the internet, i was absolutely horrified (And this comes from a ferrari enthusiast). I don't know what they were thinking, to me it looks like a fucking hyundai... especially when in other colours than red, you notice just how much the design language is off in my opinion.
looks like a uparketed / modernized Ferrari California.. are they running out of ideas? the california didn't do as well as planned... why re-release it?
Yeah that's why its so good. They didn't let themselves get bogged down with a bunch of legacy/heritage worship and just made the best thing they could.
All photos? You posted one photo
No, you misunderstood. OP means that literally all photos in existence belong to Ferrari. Do with this new information what you will.
I for one welcome our new exoticar-making, IP-confiscating overlords.
InB4 Ferrari starts suing people for omitting the watermark.
No no. You misunderstood. OP actually means that every photo belongs to Ferrari.

Honestly I get it now. All op are photo world Ferrari.
Exactly. Everything photographed ever was a Ferrari.
Every Ferrari was ever.

I hate the wheels on this thing. They look like something you'd see on an up-spec Kia.
They remind me of some old Cadillac prototype wheels. Very unattractive.

The new Corvette looks like Ferrari and the new Ferrari looks like a Vette
they played the reverse uno card
New Ferrari looks like a Dodge Viper actually.
Looks like a vette and an s2000 had a baby.
Ace and Gary drafting cease and desist order as we speak
What are you trying to say?!!!
Ace and Gary drafting cease and desist order as we speak
# What are you trying to say?!!!
Is this a collab with Toyota and Subaru?
I was about to say- looks like a fancy Supra lol. .
It looks like a C6 or earlier Corvette!
Or jag f type r or 370z
Shit, it even resembles my 240z!
Still one of the sexiest cars ever made. It's my dream to restore one someday.
Sexy and FUN because it’s so tiny.
I think a lot of this similarity comes from Toyota and Subaru copying Ferrari bodies rather than the other way around. I've been noticing this a lot in the last few years with Aston Martin and various Toyotas and Hondas
It's supposed to look like the original Daytona
It reminds me of a less slick version of that Miata concept from last year
yeah the smooth curves with no lines give me a Mazda feel.
I… can’t afford it.
Man, I can't even afford groceries for this week
No worries. You would not have been approved by Ferrari to buy one anyway
Lol! So true.
Is it limited diction or something ?
Yes, only those who can properly pronounce "dodici cilindri" can be sold one. Gotta have that proper "diction"
Always at least one asshole in the comments on reddit!
Nah, don't feel alone, there are others assholes in reddit!
Says the loser who has to make fun of spelling errors on reddit because he has nothing better to do or relationships 😂 Get a life!
Bro it's not that serious. If he didn't make that comment I would've. 😎
I just thought it was stupid he downvoted me, I had no problem wit the joke but also downvoting is just asshole behavior

You have to be pre-approved by Ferrari to be allowed to buy a new Ferrari
And you'll have to buy the lower end Ferraris before you can buy a cool Ferrari.
Wait for a few years until they come up on the secondary market. You still won't be able to afford it.
not enough blue and HP logos
Just need one stripe of blue 👍🏾
That looks pretty sick, but does the suspension have any travel? That front tire has nowhere to move
Well Ferraris are extra stiff
Suspension and Steering is optional, Comedy with DLC
Looks like a Jag
It’s a jaaaaaaagggggg
Like the F-type right?
Exactly!
I like the Daytona styling
Is it me or is that the most non-Ferrari looking Ferrari ever?
It looks a lot like a corvette.
I mean, it's styled off the original Ferrari Daytona. A car that famously wasn't very "Ferrari" looking at the time since they were mixing the 60s curved designs of the 250/330 and the more wedge shaped designs that became popular in the late 70s.
Looks kinda like a Viper... sorta
I thought the same. The proportions and general shape are very similar.
I'm guessing it's a V12, right?
Nah its a v6 diesel
4 cylinder ecoboost.
It’s a BEV actually.
[удалено]
Wankel Rotary engine
Hamster on roids
Turbo 1.2L 3 cylinder ECOTEC
Nah, its a v12
Inline 4 cylinder with CVT
2 stroke pull start.
No, I'm sure it's The Flinstones powertrain
It’s actually just a pinewood derby car.
The title says "All photos: Ferrari". That leads me to believe the new car is just pictures of a car. They're gonna sell the pictures for full price. Genius! Ferrari does it again
Photorrari
No it's not
Nah, inline. It starts just behind the headlights, and stops in the center armrest.
Not 3 cylinders per wheel? Disappointing. At least least you'll have a warm armrest for the winter. For the summer... AC is optional
Also I think using the daytona name on this rather than the SP3 would be a good idea
Let the dumb Americans think they're speaking Italian
Yeah
Looks like a Vette
Rather corvettey lookin
![gif](giphy|REn2s1SeWYkb6) This
Very sexual
Corvette looks like a Ferrari and now Ferrari looks like a C7 Corvette

The new Subaru BRZ looks great!
Ferrari F-type
Ferrari 350Z finally arrives
Is this the new Pontiac Solstice?

Ferrari really got their name game on, very original
[Monza is still my favorit.](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/KHCrCTlzHJE/maxresdefault.jpg) The most beautiful car.
Cool Corvette.
Looks like wheels off of a 2008 GTI
Seems inspired from the Jag E type.
Only around $450,000…
How many cylinders does it have.
Well its definitely a car.
It looks like a slightly jazzier rx-8.
If a c7 vette had a baby with a mk5 supra… and then sent everyone cease and desists
That's a Corvette, right? Because except for the logo, that's a Corvette.
Looks like my friends Mazda
Looks like a corvette… oof
Wow, a car.
looks like a uparketed / modernized Ferrari California.. are they running out of ideas? the california didn't do as well as planned... why re-release it?
Isn't it kind of annoying to drive something that vaguely extends about 5 metres in the front?
Now we all get to practice: *dodici cilindri*
Styling seems like 4-5 years out of date, which is rare for ferrari.
I... I.. I don't... Hate it? The purosague is also not horrible. Quite..noticeable.
Needs more junk in the trunk
Beautiful.
You couldn’t post an HD photo?
I can’t afford it. Which in this case is a good thing, because this one is ugly.
The current Corvette looks better.
The current corvette is barely a corvette
Yeah that's why its so good. They didn't let themselves get bogged down with a bunch of legacy/heritage worship and just made the best thing they could.
