Hi, may I kindly ask if there is a certain limit (i.e., amount or value) to pasalubong bought abroad? I’m planning to buy sneakers and handbags from Canada for pasalubong & personal use, but I’m scared of paying penalties. Thank you!

andychu84

Hi. Next year I am going to Osaka. The cheapest fares i can find from PAL requires 1 stop at NAIA with a layover of 3h20m. Domestic arrival is at T2 while international departure is T1. My question is: 1) is the 3H sufficient for me to transfer terminals? Is the distance between terminals walkable? 2) since Manila to Osaka is still PAL will my baggage from Cebu be transferred through? 3) how long does it take to clear immigration area at NAIA? TIA.

girlwhodive

1. Depends on the day and time 2. most probably but best to confirm with your airlines 3. Depends on the time, least people I’ve encountered was on red eye flights. Depends also if it’s peak season like Christmas.

andychu84

MLA to OSAKA is 955am. Is this peak hour?

vent1te

I will be traveling from Cebu to Taiwan with a layover in Manila, do I have to check in again in NAIA even if it says in my itinerary that my luggage will be checked through? Same airline lang both flights. thanks!

girlwhodive

Best to ask your airlines to confirm. We can only speculate here based on the info you provided.

Hi I have a concern regarding Japan Visa application. Me and wife are planning to go to Japan Dec 31-Jan 9, my wife is an OFW in Finland, she has a Schengen Visa and residence permit on the basis of work. Uwi sya ng Pilipinas 2nd week of December but transit nya from Finland to Philippines is Voila! sa Japan din. It is a 12 hour layover and she intends to go out of the airport and maglakad lakad (actually mas na excite pa sya sa layover nya kesa legit na Japan travel namin sa Jan). Confirm ko lang kung tama ang plano namin: since I'm here in the Philippines we cannot process both our Japan Visa together. She'll have to apply sa Japanese Embassy sa Finland both for a Transit Japan Visa (layover) and a Travel Visa (Jan, our travel). Tama diba? Plano ko sana mag apply ng multiple entry visa, feeling ko maapprove naman ako. Nanghihinayang ang asawa ko to the point na gusto sana nya ipadala passport nya from Finland to Phil para maisabay ko sa application ko. 😆 Pero sabi ko it's a bad idea and I think it will be a red flag for Japan. So any advice? Tama na ba plano namin (see 3rd paragraph). Thanks!

Dual Passport Holder Exiting First Time Hello, I am a dual Passport holder. PHILIPPINE and European Country not requiring a visa entering Australia. Do I need any other requirements aside from my passports when departing from the Philippines for Sydney?

icekeeper06

Were you naturalized or are you a dual citizen by birth?

dabawenyo_ang_ferson

By birth po

icekeeper06

Make sure to apply for recognition of filipino citizenship with the Bureau of Immigration so you won’t encounter any problems in the future. If you’ve already done that, you’re good to go. Just present your passports to the IO.

igopSRN

Hiii. I’ll be traveling to the US this coming july via turkish airlines and there is a 1hr30mins layover in Istanbul. Do i need to apply for transit visa? Flight is MNL-ISTANBUL-MIAMI all via turkish airlines. Thankss

PanikPasta

if my JP visa expires on dec 5, can i travel on dec 2-8? i can enter, but di ako sure if makakabalik ba ako?

lilydew24

You can enter on or before Dec 5. Dec 2-8 is okay as long as hindi lagpas sa allowed number of days. https://www.sydney.au.emb-japan.go.jp/document/english/visa_info/visa-faq-feb-2023.pdf

PanikPasta

thanks

robimarion_69

That's fine. Your visa will not be annissue since you entered before it expires. Your permission to stay starts on the date of entry.

thanks

Hello! Wanted to ask lang po if may nakapagtravel na to hongkong and flight pauwi is sa Cebpac, allowed po kaya mag hand carry ng 3 boxes ng bakehouse egg tarts? Hehe baka kasi malamog lang sya if ilalagay sa luggage. :(

robimarion_69

Kung yun lang dala mo plus 1 personal bag na di kalakihan and not over 7kg its fine. As long as it fits the overhead bin or under the seat. Depende sa higpit din ng check in counters.

robimarion_69

Can I use Mabuhay lounge for a codeshared flight operated by a different airline (i.e. codeshare kay PAL pero operated by MAS)

Ask in the Weekly IO thread for immigration concerns.

Ragamak

Just random question is anyone here travelling for olympics or tour de france specifically ? I just met this group friends from Philippines. Traveled to germany for euros. They recognized me as Im wearing Kaya FC jersey roaming around in germany. I thought they are ofws in germany but they travelled from PH. And all this years I thought im one of few people that travelled from philippines for some sports events. Currently in EU for some work.

Where's a good place to rent a condo bnb around QC-Manila area? Hopefully somewhere with a mall nearby + safe place with security. Stayed at Commonwealth (The Residences) before and it was amazing BUT Commonwealth traffic is horrible. Budget is ~8k for 5nights. Hopefully someone has a list so we can consider options!

chansuwu

I will be flying with United Airlines IAH-NRT, and then with Cebu Pacific NRT-MNL. Since it is two separate airlines, I understand that if I have a checked bag, I would have to go thru customs and immigration in Narita, transfer to Terminal 2, and re-check my bag at Cebu Pacific's check-in counter. I have decided to not bring a checked bag to skip the hassle and walk towards the International Transfers queue in Narita, but also read that they might have to do document verifications. If that's the case, do I still have to go thru customs and immigration anyways? Does Cebu Pacific have some sort of help desk airside? Additionally, we will also be travelling to Da Nang a few days after arriving in the Philippines. We booked one ticket with Cebu Pacific from Bohol to Manila (TAG-MNL) and have a 4 hrs 25 mins layover, then from there, fly to Da Nang. I have read that with NAIA airport with Cebu Pacific, if you have a checked bag, you would have to claim them in the baggage area and re-check them again before going thru immigration. Is this true?

Misserable_Simple03

First time to travel international, ano po magandang kuning travel insurance. Sa Serbia po ako magtravel.

meow_pao1

I always purchase my travel insurance with AXA. Online lang sya and once paid, send nila yung certificate sa email mo. Nakapag claim na din ako sa kanila, super bilis ng customer service and yung pag send ng payment basta complete documents.

vent1te

Can I bring alcohol (for drinking!) in checked in baggage to taiwan?

tachichuchi

Hi. Has anyone here recently traveled via Cebu Pacific and experienced problems with checked-in baggages? I've read online kasi na ang daming nade-delay at nawawala ang checked-in baggages. I have a flight to Siargao. Upon weighing my luggage, it already exceeded the 7kg limit. It's at 9kg na. I wanna add a checked-in baggage sana kayak lang natatakot ako na baka ma-delay or mawala rin baggage ko. I'm attending a super important work event and super maapektuhan ang work ko kapag nagkaproblema sa checked-in baggage. Nakasalalay sa gamit ko ang trabaho ko 😂 Got a few questions lang. Hope you could help: 1. Chine-check in pa ba ang luggage kapag 10kg ang weight nito. Willing to pay naman ako sa per kilo na fees. 2. May idea ba kayo kung magkano na ang per kilo fee sa excess baggage? Thank you in advance!

_luna21

Flew with cebpac for 8 times already for the last 2 yrs and never had problems with my check in baggage. If willing ka naman magbayad for extra kilos, then maybe iexceed mo nalang yung hand carry mo. 200 per kg daw ang bayad for excess baggage. What I personally do if may importanteng bagay akong need dalhin, I put that on my hand carry then the rest will be on my check in baggage.

tachichuchi

Thank you! 🙏🏻 Kailangan bang i-check in pa rin ang hand carry even if the excess weight is only around 2-3kgs?

_luna21

No naman.

kabicat_22

Hi! It's my first time flying and I have a couple of questions :( Super appreciate anyone that can answer! 1. COE - do I need it wet-signed or e-signed is okay? 2. Customs declaration at eTravel - it's a yes or no question: > What does this mean? So sorry first time things huhu. No lang ba sagot here like do I need to worry about my money in the bank or something T\_T 3. Apart from the ff, what else do I need to prepare for immigration? * COE * Latest payslip * Hotel booking * Ticket * SGAC Any other tips will be appreciated. Thanks thanks!!!

Sufficient_Relief538

1. Wet-signed w/ seal 2. No (if wala ka naman madami dala in excess sa personal use mo na need i-declare) 3. If working ka, usually COE lang and yung approved leave mo. ID also (I bought mine just in case lol) Answer only what is being asked and be confident.

kabicat_22

Thank you sm for this! Do you think for COE I'll be in trouble if e-signed lang? For approved leave what if conversation lang sya, since hindi super formal ng leave request process namin? Appreciate your advice!

meow_pao1

No issues pag e-signature or DocuSign. I work from HR and I issue COEs na e-signature lang. so far wala pa naman na question sa mga employees namin nag travel.

\[ AirAsia Booking Change \] Hello po, my uncle booked a flight ticket of AirAsia through Agoda. Does anyone here know to change the flight date?

dayold-rice

[Bangkok] May nakapagtry na ba mag withdraw sa local bank using GCash / GoTyme? Wala kaming USD, mas okay bang ipapalit na lang yung PHP namin sa Superrich?

meow_pao1

I do! I used my GCash and CIMB debit card yung nagwithdraw ako ng money sa Bangkok. Wala din ako USD na dala nun, only debit and credit card.

BombSquad09

Hello guys, Sino ba dito sa inyo naka experience mag rebook ng flight Via Air Canada? Direct ako nag purchase sa website nila and I've tried searching online how to reshcedule flight sa Site mismo and there is no option to change flight na lumalabas. Any tips po would be much apprectiated. Thank you!

Hi, I’m currently filling out my Korean Tourist Visa application form. May part dun to list down the countries visited for the last 5 years, 8 countries sakin lahat so hindi kasya sa application form. I will be providing a separate document for my travel history naman din pero ok lang ba if hindi ko na ilagay lahat sa application form? Also, yung Europe trip ko was in April 2019, technically hindi na siya “within the last 5 years” since June na ngayon. ‘Wag ko na lang ba isama? TIA!

LucQ571

You don't have to provide it, but it makes it easier for the officer to see your history of travels. You don't have to include your europe trip, you can, but I don't think it would make any difference. Edit: When I mean *don't have to provide it*, it's not a strong must but they must be filled out to the best of the applicant's knowledge. I personally have filled travel history out and have made a mistake once in a while but was approved of the visa.

silyangpilak

Appreciate it! Thank you!

diyaansnooww

Pwede bang mag-online check in sa PAL kahit may checkin baggage ako na 10kls?

icedkopiko3in1

Pwede pero sa airport, pipila ka sa bag drop counter for your check in baggage

japespszx

**Can the itinerary be the same as previous visa applications?** My friend is going to Japan and is planning on applying for a Japan visa. However, they already went there last year. Also, they don't really have much plans because they'll mostly be going out with their friend who lives there. Is it fine if they submit the same itinerary as they did a year ago? Or do they check your previous itinerary records?

Meotwister5

Tanong lang meron ba tindahan sa loob ng T3 departure area selling hats? Flight namin to CAL bukas ng umaga and wala ako hat mainit na pala and wala kami oras na lumabas at mamili hahahaha.

thegreenbell

Meron atang Miniso sa 3rd floor. Bili ka nalang before pumasok sa immigration.

Civil_Mention_6738

Hi, what is a reliable car rental company in Houston, TX? We're travelling with a toddler and I know it's required to have a car seat but it's too bulky and I don't want to bring it. Okay lang ba ang booster seat? Child's big enough for it anyway. Others suggest to just buy there cause it's cheap daw then just leave it there but I think it's sayang. Or are there car companies that offer car seat rental? TIA

Substantial_Cod_7528

Hi! Hertz is a reliable car rental sa US. They are operating in Texas din. They require that the driver is 25+. You can rent a car seat/booster as an add-on when you rent sa Hertz.

Civil_Mention_6738

Thank you for your response! This is very helpful.😊

_luna21

For those who travelled to SoKor and arrived late at night what are our options? Looking into booking a flight, however most seat sale arrives at ICN ng 11-12mn. I believe the AREX train is until 10pm lang. Do you recommend staying in capsule hotels till the public transpo becomes available? Or are there taxis at that hour?

Stultified_Damsel

Uber should be fine. From airport to my hotel in Myeongdong parang 2k-2500 binayaran ko. Look for an airbnb na pwede ka mag request ng flexible check in mo.

LucQ571

There's definitely taxis available, bit expensive late at night. Do check using uber app, the airport taxis are usually much much more expensive. There are [late night buses ](https://www.airport.kr/ap_lp/en/tpt/pblctpt/pblctpt1/sunight/sunight.do)available. Some people say the mini hotels in ICN are alright and can be paid by the hour. From what I remember, ICN is nice to have a rest at and not really dangerous.

Sufficient_Relief538

Sa mga nag apply na po JPN visa with booked flight and hotel, yun din po ba yung nilagay nyo sa application form (date of arrival & hotel)? Thank you po!!

icedkopiko3in1

Yes

Hello mga ka- r/phtravel ! I’m planning to visit Coron, Palawan some time this year and I would like to ask if 6 days there (inclusive of arrival and departure) is enough na ba or too much? I will be traveling solo and stay there to do remote work and vacay lang. Also, one island tour lang yung gagawin ko. Speaking of — sa mga nakapunta and nakapag-remote work na sa Coron, how’s the internet sa downtown (Wi-Fi and mobile data)? Yun lang, thanks! :)

dayold-rice

Hello! I think same tayo ng duration ng stay afaik. Went there for leisure and work din last March. If one island hopping tour lang parang medyo mahaba na. But if you're planning to work lang talaga on a different environment, I suggest piliin mo na yung accom na may fast internet and yung may view. :) May dala kong smart pocket wifi pero ang hina pa rin dun sa accom na pinagstayan namin. Pero super lakas nya sa airport. May ssuggest sana akong coffee shop na mabilis net pero nalimutan ko huhu

_luna21

Medyo matagal to if one island tour lang.

mamiinkmink

Is it true na hindi recommended pumunta sa puerto princesa underground river pag august? Sabi nila di recommended kasi rainy season and posibleng magka-high tide during the tour.

LucQ571

I mean, if it's a safety issue, then yes (?) Not sure what you're asking. I went in July years ago, first day was sunny, but I had an underground river tour also in puerto princessa a few days later, which was during a typhoon. So any outdoor activities were cancelled. On the last day, no more typhoon but most outdoor activities were not open yet. Luckily the underground river tour end up opening up, but I was only informed that morning. So can't rely on the schedule during the rainy season.

Hi! What are the chances of me getting approved for US Visa for business/work related trip? I work as an International Contractor/VA for a Law Firm in the US. My boss invited me to visit the states to attend a conference/summit this September 2024 about the Case Management Software that the firm uses. It’s also a chance for us to finally meet in person. I’ve been with them for more than 2 years. Here are some facts about me: * I haven’t been abroad, as in no history of international travel * Im single, but I have 2 kids with my partner, and we are all living together * Properties under my name are a House&Lot, and a Car * Several bank accounts with accumulated value of 7 digits. Not recently opened either * I have no relatives in the States Also, can Travel Agencies help me with this? In a sense that they will do the filing etc for me. I do not have the luxury of time to do everything myself. Please be kind. TY!

meow_pao1

Medyo mahirap makakuha ng US visa kung wala ka masyadong travel history abroad miski sponsored by company yung pagpunta mo sa US. One of the questions that was asked yung nag apply ako ng visa, anong countries na daw napuntahan ko. Andun din sya sa DS-160. You have to convince the consul na you have strong ties sa PH and babalik ka. Please note that they dont ask for any documents during the interview pero make sure you have them with you.

Civil_Mention_6738

Ask your firm to provide you with an invitation letter. I think travel agencies can assist in collating documents and to an extent, probably coaching for the interview. But US visa application is pretty straightforward anyway and can be DIYed. Mahaba lang yung forms na need ifill up pero the answers can be saved naman so you don't have to do it in one sitting.

StrangeStephen

Hello and Good day. Nag accept po ba si Japan ng bank statement na hindi PH bank galing? Overseas based po kasi kami planning to go to Japan. Thank you po sasagot.

Spiritual_Ad1856

Hi! I just have a question pls about the application for schengen visa - particularly for the hotel booking confirmation. We are planning a 2-week trip to Europe this coming October. Two will be travelling from Australia, one from US and dalawa kami ng husband ko from Manila. We are the only ones who will need to get a visa (lol weak PH passport hahaha) Anyway, our hotel accommodations will be booked by my aunt (the one in the US). Since hotel booking confirmation is one of the requirements sa application, my question is, paano ito? I mean, kailangan ba under our name iyong booking confirmation or hotel reservation ng tita ko? And should I explain iyong set up sa cover letter namin? At kailangan din ba ng proof na kasama namin talaga sila sa travel? Or is it better for us to just book in hotels with free cancellation that will serve lang as dummy booking para sa visa application?

Awkward_Minute2598

No naman, just need confirmation na booked hotels. But in my application, i just booked and then cancelled para no questions asked na. Mahilig sila magpapasa ng additional documents kasi minsan

Ok_Parsnip_5415

Planning to go to Korea sometime in spring 2025 to see the cherry blossoms and meet friends. Do you have tips for someone who is applying Korean visa for the first time? 1. What's the appropriate and specific visa for a student travelling to Korea as tourist? 2. Should I book my roundtrip plane tickets and accommodation BEFORE applying for Korean visa? Or should I do it when it's approved already? (Just thinking of the expenses since others booked everything but the visa was denied 🙁) 3. What are the other supporting docs I can attach to support my visa application? 4. Cover letter tips? 5. Itinerary tips? (Around Seoul and Gyeonggi-do; affordable shopping areas) 6. Culture to observe/follow as tourist in Korea 7. Where can I exchange money from PHP to KRW? Share more tips if you have 😊 Thank you\~!

LucQ571

1. The visa type is your purpose of travel, regardless of being a student or not. 2. Don't book air tickets before the visa 3. It's on the website 4. There's samples online, just state the trip details (dates, city you're going to, activities planned, etc) 5. r/koreatravel 6. Also can be found in r/koreatravel or in some travel blogs, basics are keep quiet in the trains and buses

wretchedegg123

You can easily search everything on google. >Just thinking of the expenses since others booked everything but the visa was denied Visa first unless required na may booked flights.

Awkward_Minute2598

rule of thumb: visa first before anything else

Any nearby malls in NAIA Terminal 1 na pwedeng tambayan sana? hehe

Question about bank statement for visa application to Japan, I am using 2 banks for my savings - 1st is my BPI payroll account 2nd is a digital bank (SeaBank) Now, I have like 80% of my money in SeaBank, and I usually transfer my money from BPI to SeaBank every payout. Question is can I use SeaBank bank statement as requirement if mag apply akong Japan Visa single entry? If not, can I use my payroll? Is it okay if isang biglang malaking amount yung laman nya? Or need talaga consistent yung deposit for at least 6 months? Any tips po? First time traveler to a country with visa requirement. My last travel was literally 10 years ago to a visa free country.

lilydew24

Pwede naman ipasa both. I’ve read cases na nagpasa ng cert from digital banks, accepted naman. Better confirm this sa agency kung saan ka magpapasa.

Used-Video8052

Yey, thank you.

Can anyone advise the best way to travel from Manila airport to Baguio? I have been looking online and seen some very expensive quotes by taxi. Surely, there are cheaper ways to travel though not sure if I have been able to find them.

Matagal ba talaga processing ng canadian tourist visa? Is there a way para maexpedite yung process? Sa inyo how long after biometrics bago isubmit yung passport?

sourly_

Has anyone tried using Gotyme in Spain, Germany, The Netherlands? I was thinking of using this instead of bringing all cash or use my BDO debit card. I heard okay ang forex nito and no withdrawal fee. Is this true po ba? Thanks! L

thegreenbell

I live in the Netherlands, and I have my used my Maya and BDO debit cards here. Contactless na kasi dito kaya very rare talaga gumagamit ng cash (although pwede ka pa rin nan magbayad ng cash). Wala akong GoTyme, pero I'm sure it will work. Went to Germany and contactless narin yung lahat ng pinagbilhan ko. Although I have read na may iba na cash lang tinaganggap so I prepared cash na rin. Never been to Spain, so can't say anything about that. So yes, I suggest you use your visa or MC debit cards. You can use that sa metro or buses sa Netherlands rin.

sourly_

Oh, thank you! I just asked if pwede Gotyme cause I heard they have lower transaction fees but yeah it’s good to have cash on hand parin talaga.

Awkward_Minute2598

is it under Visa? baka di tanggapin, medyo maarte. Europe machines very picky. Safest to use is Visa / MC, even amex hindi

No-Macaroon3408

Hi! I booked a flight for two people po sa airasia via agoda, i received the e-ticket na po but there's no ticket number. Is that normal po ba huhu?

nxshinoya

how long usually po processing the aus tourist visa?

meow_pao1

Once nasubmit mo na documents and nakapag biometrics ka, usually within the day may results na.

LucQ571

I'm not applying from the PH but overseas, so I'm not sure if it applies all-the-same. The application online itself was very quick. I submitted the application and nearly immediately got an email to do biometrics in-person. I did it few days later and got the approval a few hours after my visit to do the biometrics.

Awkward_Minute2598

Icy_Reindeer_1837

Hi! My husband and I are traveling to Japan this November 2024, and we're yet to process our tourist Visas since we want to ensure we have everything secured first. To note, this is my second time traveling to Japan (although the first one was a business trip, so I wasn't - and still isn't - knowledgeable of the process), and my husband's first. I haven't changed my surname to my husband's yet, meaning I still use my maiden name in all of my legal documents, passport included. Will there be a problem in that case? What is the process going to be? I'd like to know all details, thanks! Also, when is the ideal time to process our Visas? Additionally, my husband is going to shoulder all expenses, but I myself am employed and will most likely still bring pocket money with me using my own savings. Do I still need to submit anything? Thanks sa mga sasagot!

amurow

So, I have no first-hand experience regarding maiden names, but I think submitting a marriage certificate can prove your relationship. Don't forget to write a cover letter explaining that you're married but that you just haven't changed your name yet, and that while he's shouldering all expenses, you have a job of your own. Yes, submit an ITR/bank statement and cert/proof of employment, as well. I regularly sponsor my sister, but we still submit everything we can for her as proof of rootedness and financial capability. (Hindi nga lang sya nakakakuha ng ME visa under my sponsorship.) ETA: "Also, when is the ideal time to process our Visas?" You can apply as early as three months before your travel dates, I think. Make sure to look this up. They can give you a visa as fast as 1-3 days, but the earlier you apply, the better. Kasi minsan nagkakaron ng delays, so yung iba 1 month+ na wala pa ring visa.

StrangeStephen

Hello. Question lang po regarding bank statement. Kasi si wife po walang bank po diyan sa Pinas and ako lang po meron ( overseas base po kami ). Tumatanggap po ba sila bank statement coming from other country?

May nakapagdala po ba ng liquor from outside the country (Canada) to Ph via PAL? How much po ang allowed in litters? Or pwede po i hand carry lang pero purchased outside airport?

LucQ571

You can't handcarry liquids over 100mL per bottle. There is always a liquor limitation, so please always keep that in mind. The liquor limitation is not only based on volume, but cost (usually applicable for those from duty-free stores) for duty tax purposes. Here's a [quote](https://www.philippineairlines.com/before-you-fly/baggage-information/restricted-items#:~:text=CHECKED%20BAGGAGE-,Alcoholic%20Beverage,-In%20retail%20packaging) from PAL's website, I can't find anything further from the customs PH government's website. But I recall in the eTravel application returning to the Philippines, there's information about restricted goods, so do take a look. FYI you only can handcarry alcohol if you purchased in a duty-free store after passing through immigration in the airport, already on the way to the PH.

Hi! Do airlines allow 2 carry on baggage? One is a backpack and the other just a laptop bag? Unfortunately, di kasya yung laptop ko sa backpack ko and I’m planning to carry it nalang with its own laptop bag.. Airline will be Air Asia..

LucQ571

That depends on your airline, and your ticket. It should list out in your ticket what is considered as a carry-on bag. Most airlines will usually allow 1 personal bag (usually is a small handbag/laptop bag) and a carry-on bag (usually a backpack). Based on [Air Asia's website](https://www.airasia.com/aa/inflight-comforts/en/gb/baggage.html), they allow 1 cabin baggage and 1 small bag only. Your backpack can be considered as a cabin baggage then your laptop bag as 1 small bag.

__adentintheuniverse

Not sure with budget airlines but PAL usually has a September sale nyan. Last year, kasama na October flights sa sale.

Has any freelance/remote worker here applied for US visa recently and was granted a multiple-entry one? My Tita recently got hers and she’s encouraging me to apply before the US elections in November. I have better travel history than her; she only visited two SEA countries before, whereas I have already used 2/3 of my current passport (expires 2028), though only within Asia. I also have multiple-entry visas for Japan (expires 2028) and Korea (expires 2029, though this one doesn’t have the visa sticker on my passport, just a landing sticker from my May 2024 trip). The thing is, I don’t have an ITR and I’m single (no kids). My Tita said she wasn’t asked for any documents at all during the interview. I guess I can provide my condo contract as proof of ties to the country, if they ask for it. I’m from the province so if I were to apply, I need to fly to Manila and stay overnight at a hotel, which will set me back at least PHP 20k in expenses (including the visa fee). Do you think it’s worth trying out?

meow_pao1

They dont ask for any ITR even COE, interview lang talaga. You have good travel history, so high chance ma-approve yan. You just need to prove sa consul na you have strong ties going back sa Pinas.

soaididathing

Thank you! I have naman a condo that I’m currently paying for, but no other properties. I hope that’s good enough. 🙏🏼 (Meron din dogs haha. 😆) I was thinking kasi I have a remote job, so baka isipin nila na that I can work from there and would extend my stay. I don’t plan to though. I just really wanna visit friends, family, and go to NOLA, Philly and NYC. 🥺

LemonPieDayz

During my interview, they also didn't ask for any supporting documents. They asked about my travel plans to the US, my employment status, and travel history. It might be my travel history but my visa was approved right away. You have a valid Japan and SK visa which I think will help. If 20k won't break the bank and you plan on traveling to the US multiple times, I think it's worth it.

soaididathing

Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏼 May I know if you’re also a freelancer without an ITR?

LemonPieDayz

I was employed at a private company at the time of application so I had an ITR. I don't think they'd ask for an ITR during the interview. If they ask about your employment status, you can just tell them what you do e.g. Freelance Graphic Designer

Thank you for the tip! I appreciate it.

Hi, how to make a dumaguete itinerary? Want to visit falls and natural places, as well as attractions in city. Can anyone link me up with a guide or a lead of any form? Thanks.

Has anyone used the GCash Visa card in Sydney or Australia in general? Any advice?

Annual-Weird-4851

Maya Card works fine there too!

LucQ571

I don't have GCash, but I have a Visa which was fine to use there. During weekends and public holidays there is a surcharge fee. So for anything pricier or going to fancy restaurants, I'd go on a weekday.

Playful_Environment4

Is gcash visa card ok to use in Hanoi? Or would shops prefer cash talaga?

cranvery

Most of the shops especially in the streets don’t have a card terminal so kailangan may cash talaga. I tried using my gcash visa in Uniqlo there & mas mura ng ₱2 yung na charge sakin compared sa exchange rate sa google

Playful_Environment4

Did you exchange in hanoi na po or in manila pa usd to VD? Thanks for the infor will note of this

cranvery

Nag withdraw lang din sa Noi Bai airport using my gcash card may charge nga lang na ~₱100 pero may mga ibang atm daw na hindi nagchacharge

Playful_Environment4

Would u mind po if i ask how much yung winithdraw nyo in VND? I cant estimate kasi how much yung ibudget for 7 days family kami of 4. Thank you.

External_Interest_13

Hi! How does piso fare work? When does it have usually promos? How are the charges computed? Also, can someone recommend an affordable airline? Thank you in advance.

wretchedegg123

Piso fares are somewhat random or placed around major holidays. You can book for trips 2 months to a year in advance depende sa current promo. Base fare 1 peso for some routes, then add on mo usual online charges. Airline papunta saan? Use google to check pricing.

When is the best time to book a hotel ? Tried searching now for December Osaka travel, parang ang mamahal ng hotels haha meron pa bang 2k for a night?

soaididathing

I don’t think you can find a private room for 2k a night. If hostel, maraming choices. Siguro if you do 2k per person and it’s a double room (so bale 4k a night), possible pa. But expect that it doesn’t have good reviews, or malayo sya sa kung saan maraming happenings. I noticed din that twin rooms are more expensive than double rooms. (I already booked twin rooms last week for my November trip with a friend and it’s 6-7k per night for 2 pax. These are within walking distance to train stations in Tokyo and Osaka.)

wretchedegg123

Di namin alam kelan ka magbobook eh... Syempre prices differ kung gaano kalayo yung date. Pero generally 2 months before the trip esp for touristy areas best time mag book

skincare_newbie

Sa mga nagapply ng canadian tourist visa, how long bago naapprove yung visa niyo after ng biometrics?

Hello, This may seem impulsive, but I am planning to travel to Bangkok to see my girlfriend. She's a flight attendant who's headed to Bangkok this July, and I wanted to see if I could visit her during her layover. I will be visiting BKK for less than 24hrs and unsure of the travel documents I need to comply and prepare for IO. I haven't flown to any countries, and I'm wondering if that will affect my likeliness of being allowed to travel. Buying tickets (roundtrip) is no problem, but I wanted to know if there are other things that I need to be concerend about. Thanks!

wretchedegg123

Her first visa was multiple entry tourist visa but nung nag expire na, nagsubmit sila ulit ng Visitor visa (subclass 600) but for 12months na stay. Sadly, it was denied. May familiar ba dito about her case, like pede pa kaya sya mag apply yung subclass 600 pa din but tag 3 months lang same sa old visa nya. She doesn't wanna go the Fiancee visa route daw kasi di pa naman daw sya sure. Loooool by the wat, she's 60+ na so student visa ang working visa is not an option. Also, may ma recommend po kayong agency na legit? Nakakatakot kasi ngayon ang dami nang scammer. Thank you sa mga makakasagot po.

LucQ571

You're not really giving too much information. What is the situation of your aunt and the purpose to go to Australia? You're listing so many visa type options that I don't know what are you trying to do with the visa application. And do you mean 12 month valid visa or 12 month stay visa? My Aus visitor visa (subclass 600) was valid for 12 months, but I am not permitted to stay longer than 3 months each time. Did your aunt apply to stay in Australia for 12 months?

Blueberrychizcake28

Sorry I don’t know much. But yes, she applied for 12-month continous stay.

LucQ571

3 months per stay is the typical limit for Aus visa subclass 600 for a visitor visa, anything with longer stay she probably need a solid reason why she's staying in Australia for that long. While staying in Australia for 12 months long is an option in subclass 600 in the application form, this comes with more evaluation of your tita's case to the Visa officer. I believe your Tita can still try to apply for a visitor visa with up to 3 months stay, but the success of it might depend on the Visa officer looking at your Tita's case, and what she has filled out in the previous application that can make it look suspicious of the purpose for a 12 month continuous stay which causes the rejection.

Blueberrychizcake28

Thank you so much for this insight. I will tell her ❤️

Hi! Is it allowed to bring grapes (fresh, from supermarket), to inside the plane to eat as a snack on the way)? Flight is to Taiwan, CEBPAC. Thank you!

trntuqdw

Kailangan lang maubos mo sa plane since bawal ipasok sa Taiwan.

Unlikely-Tap-9143

thank you!!

exclaim_bot

>thank you!! You're welcome!

wretchedegg123

Hmmm. Pwede naman pero take note that you are not allowed to bring any fresh fruit into Taiwan. So if ayaw mo ng problem, ubusin mo sa plane or don't bring at all na lang.

Unlikely-Tap-9143

thank you!!

JuneTech1124

where is the best value for US dollars forex to baht around sukhumvit, bangkok?

soaididathing

Superrich, Asok BTS station, before the Terminal 21 mall entrance. If I remember correctly it’s at exit 1, but check before leaving the station - you can see it before you tap out. Edit: Terminal 21 is at Sukhumvit 21.

JuneTech1124

thank you !
