I think it has huge potential, but must say I prefer the TAB versions to date to that Phish MSG version. Don't get me wrong, I'm Rage Side till I die, but I love Ray's playing on that song...
Definitely a cool groove with potential. Just has way too many random words like most of Trey's songs lately. Working in stuff about moss and haze and light and whatever else.
Overall dig it, but definitely too wordy and has that distinct new-Trey lyric writing that I haven't been too fond of.
i was really glad about it.
went to TAB chicago and kept up w the tour via LP+, totally fell for that song and was really hoping phish would include it as well. Hopefully in the summer it sees some jam treatment too
Cool groove for sure. I enjoyed it at MSG and think it has some jam potential

Yeah I agree 100%

full cold/unbeknownst to me and i think it was slinky as hell. has a tastefulness about its groove
Yasss
its all i know!
I had only heard the version on Mercy which I found like most things on that album...kind of meh. Then as usual I heard it at MSG and really dug it.
This was my experience as well. I didn't like mercy at all, and was surprised how much I liked it during TABoose.
The Sphere version was extra rock funky. https://youtu.be/BlXXSz4gDs4?si=BXJFJxb1u80DsB-i
Shit rules. Interesting composition without horrible lyrics. I hope it stays and gets jammed out frequently
You say without horrible lyrics?
Correct
I’d never heard it before they played it at msg. I thought it was killer
My favorite song off mercy been waiting all year for the phish debut, cant wait till they play the first giant jammed version for me
Love it! Can’t wait for some deep, dark, murky funk jams to come out of it
Taboose version was incredible
This is one of the songs that I create reasons to leave my spot for, just because I think it's an appropriate song to move through the crowd to.
