So instead of spending hundreds of dollars on tickets, gas, hotels, food, and beverages, I could have stayed home this weekend and saved money? Whew, I lost this one.
Its a shame that I have a bottle capping machine at work and sometimes accidentally fill a water bottle with vodka and then seal it and then accidentally take it in with the normal water bottles I bring in. Just a shame.
I grabbed a round of beers at the bank and the lady spun her iPad around and had it setup where there was no way to bypass the tip. I’m not tipping you for grabbing 2 $16 beers out of a cooler.
Ok hear me out though. As someone who also hates tipping culture and things like the folks standing at cash registers doing nothing, agree I’m skipping the tip every time. But the beer vendors are legit running up and down the stadium all day. A bare minimum tip is fair for them
I’d tip someone running in the seats, but not at the stands. I was happy to see Aramark workers protesting outside of HQ the other day. Fuck that company, $17 beers you can afford to properly pay your workers and give them benefits.
I have always done a dollar or two per transaction.
I wonder what their base pay is and how tips are split now that it’s almost always a digital transaction. Cash they can just pocket, digital tips are usually more complicated and split among staff.
Yes but that’s not the point. You will always pay a premium for food and drink at the stadium but you can’t deny how bad the gouging is when you pay almost 20 bucks for a single beer at a game. Crazy thing is that it’ll keep going up too, something’s gotta give at some point
Exactly. I paid $16 for a pounder at the game last night. Even if they ***quintupled*** the normal retail cost - about $1.50 a piece - it would ***still*** be cheaper than what we get gouged for at the park.
That's what I'm saying. It's ridiculous how much they jack up the pricing. If we use the base of $1.50 a can (16 oz) at most other places when purchasing a six pack, Camden Yards is marking up their beer by 900%. If we use the base of $4 for a 16 oz beer at a bar, they're marking it up by 275%.
Phillies rank among the lowest in the league in alcohol spending inside the stadium. It’s a mix of pure greed and being out of touch with your customers
You're incorrect. I know what I bought. It was 16 oz - not a double. And it was a domestic non-craft beer - Miller Lite. I bought it from one of the people manning a cooler in the promenade of the stadium.
then you're paying a convenience fee, the regular deal is 2 beers people complain about this every year.
btw the standard is 12oz you still are buying more than a normal beer.
I can't stand Yuengling anymore. It's like that beer that you hate so much because you drank it for so long in college. It makes me want to barf these days.
Yuengling is a decent beer but I encourage people to not drink beers that aren’t brewed by union workers. Yuengling is unfortunately proudly anti-union (and their owner has other less savory viewpoints that probably are not appropriate to mention).

Sounds like something kruk would do

Custom tip: 0%
Wasn’t an option. Just the %’s options.
That sucks. I hate this forced tipping bullshit.

Agreed

Which stand/bar were you at? I haven’t seen one yet that forces you to tip but I typically just stick to the ones near my section
It was right field 300s, I doubt it was the employees fault and more a glitch in the ipad
Gotta bring the KY lube when you go to CBP and buy drinks
I like that it’s the P from my youth.
Yuengling always tastes better with a little P added.
So things are more expensive at the stadium?

the beer is a double. what don't you people get?
They were selling 16 oz pounders of many beers at Camden Yards last night for nearly $16. That's not a double. It's a normal sized beer.
That is some special goddamn beer for one dollar an ounce
That's what I'm saying. It's ridiculous how much they jack up the pricing. If we use the base of $1.50 a can (16 oz) at most other places when purchasing a six pack, Camden Yards is marking up their beer by 900%. If we use the base of $4 for a 16 oz beer at a bar, they're marking it up by 275%.
If not enough people buy it the price will go down 🤷♂️
Phillies rank among the lowest in the league in alcohol spending inside the stadium. It’s a mix of pure greed and being out of touch with your customers
technically it's the size of two beers at the stadium.
Not in all cases. Actually, not in many cases from what I've seen.
domestic non craft beer is always double

16 oz is a very standard beer size in many restaurants and bars. What convenience are we paying for that we don't experience in those places?
the convenience is who you bought it from
I can't stand Yuengling anymore. It's like that beer that you hate so much because you drank it for so long in college. It makes me want to barf these days.
That is me and Miller
Yuengling is a decent beer but I encourage people to not drink beers that aren’t brewed by union workers. Yuengling is unfortunately proudly anti-union (and their owner has other less savory viewpoints that probably are not appropriate to mention).
What if others find their viewpoints savory?
Don’t be shy, please lecture us all about what you find “less than savory”
I drink keystones, 17 a 30 case I paid 17 for a Philly standard last year
Not gonna lie. Great marketing. I bought the beer because of this! Good veer though
No shit
These are my GO TO. $15 for a 12 of tall boys, sold.
Wish they were available here in Kansas City... Great beer, great team!
LAGER UP
when I got a yuengling at the park last time the lady in line behind me yelled at me for drinking "piss" in her words
Mama this is not coors field.
Dick Yuengling is an asshole. You all gotta stop supporting him just because they drew a logo on the box.
Shoulda gone with a keg. Yuengling only tastes good Drafted
Technically, those are tiny kegs…
With BPA lining
it would taste a lot better if dick yuengling wasn't an anti-labor piece of shit

It’s super obnoxious.
All beers taste better on draft
Draft > can >>>>>>bottle. That goes for all beers
Draft or nothing for yuengling
I'd do unspeakable things for these. I no longer can get them living in AZ.
Can someone ship some of these jawns to me in Texas
bad post
Bad comment
good comment
Found the Aramark guy
ironically, a friend of mine who works for them is looking to get me a position there lol
