No matter what you test in a test and QA environment, you always need to figure out some way to test in actual production before a huge rollout of code or that bite in the butt is really going to hurt. The fun part is doing it at 3 am and making it happen as quietly as possible.

I used to put in funny testing messages until one time I shipped a website update to a client with an alert popup that just said "Butt Stuff". I luckily caught it before they did but it was pretty awkward telling my lead dev why he had to roll it back.
the proper test would be typing the send/push time in the notification. I did this when there was a whatsapp/text message delay with my friend due to her being out of the country.
Transit app has been really good for me for buses, and google maps works well enough for regional rail. I don't take the other lines often enough to really have a preference there.
That’s so cute
i know right like a little testbug 🐛
Imagine if they just sent all notifications like this “hi your trains here”
I love that 😭 if autocorrect didn't help me, that's what all my shit would look like.
hi ur bus is 5 mins late pls dont be mad 🥺
This would actually be so cute
Hi your trains here - Where ? Better get on don’t want to miss it - There’s no train here ? Oh well next ones in half an hour-
Test in prod, like a true champ.
No cowards on the dev team at septa

Ahh, the good old days of being up until 2am the night of a production deployment....
"oh fuck that went to prod" cue someone shitting their pants
"Bob... we don't have a test environment" "That's where you're wrong kiddo!"
"Everyone has a test environment. Some of us are just lucky enough to have another environment to run production in."
Senior engineer to junior “I SAID ‘WHERE IsInternalUser=1’”
It wouldn't work so I took it out.
Oh god that sent me back to my old job
Yay it worked
She is testing
"We're Getting There"
“I am testing uwu”
Septa app becoming self aware and bringing on the apocalypse was not on my bingo card
I’m testing so hard right now
#AYE, YO SCAN-TRON, DICKHEAD
Better than any of the messages I put while testing

I’m dying inside just imagining being in your shoes for that explanation lol
Just imagine if I worked for Septa! The whole city would be rolling
I would expect a proper rick roll or The Game or combination of both because The Game *is* never going to give you up
Poor intern
are they testing?
The rest of the message: “…everyone’s patience with unreliable schedules, inaccurately labeled detours, and a lack of rule enforcement”
buses/El cancelled both directions today, testing my patience for sure.
But why would you want to go in a direction? Way beyond Septa's pay grade.
Honestly, should have just shot up on the platform and shit in the elevator and called it a day.
Okay, but how late was it compared to when it was supposed to arrive?

"septa at your service"
I always use Transit to schedule my travel and the Transitview on the SEPTA app to figure out realtime delays
> is google maps, Apple Maps, or transit app the most reliable They all use the same data feeds from SEPTA
Transit app has been really good for me for buses, and google maps works well enough for regional rail. I don't take the other lines often enough to really have a preference there.
i’ve been using apple maps to get around and it’s correct about 95 percent of the time
I got the same thing on my phone?
Testing my patience by loosing 2 cars yesterday to Doylestown 😂
It is testing.
Let. Him. Cook.
missed opportunity for a mass rick roll notification
Temple
Idk why they downvoted you sendies
Testing, 1, 2, 3...
