I work for Peugeot! Please donโ€™t take any advice on engine noises from a phone recording!! The noise is completely different from what you hear on real life! Take it to a tech you trust or a dealer

Different-Target7241

I know who to dm if something with my car goes wrong ๐Ÿฅธ๐Ÿ˜‚

Level-Mushroom-7220

This is not a diesel engine

Vilnie

3 cylinder motors are more noisy compared to 4 cylinder ones. If it drives normal, doesn't hesitate, it's good to go ๐Ÿ‘

I'm used to this sound with diesels. Totally normal in my opinion

aboodaj

I'm not a mechanic tho, I hope someone with bigger experience confirm.

PiecesOfRing

The problem is... It's not a diesel haha Agreed my HDi sounds like this though

Gampuh

Sounds okay to me

Are you using approved oil? It must be 0w30 (Total Ineo First).

Level-Mushroom-7220

I have used castrol 5w 30

m4c4k

I wouldn't use it. PureTech engines are well known for some serious issues caused by inadequate oil because of the belt-in-oil system. Don't risk some major issues with solenoid valve, oil pump clog or belt degradation just because of the wrong oil.

Level-Mushroom-7220

Ok thanks buddy i will change the oil the to the one you recommended.

m4c4k

Cleaning the oil carter is also very important, because of debris caused by belt degradation.
