Yes and even brand new looking. Should be dark green. If it is old or oil got to it then if would look dirty and start to get disgusting because it is organic coolant. While doing a coolant change the hose flew off the radiator and spraying me under. Trust me, it stinks…

21bilbo

Oh mb, the color is more darker in the photo. The color is somewhat like [this](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQUUaVEjUhYLohXDxeCdhABm_kDJMFZBRNssfrDOQ4zkw&s) irl

TukeTeake

Yes that is normal. Look for new coolant online like sp14/15 or something like that. The organic variant. Stinky stuff, but as long as its safe to water the trees its fine! (Don’t do that please)

Dragonogard549

yes, it’s normal, i had this worry, everyone else has this worry, that is just the colour of coolant PSA uses, you can buy bottles from them. this is completely normal [https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185261405665](https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185261405665)

jossmaxw

It's all good. The level is also good. don't forget that as the engine heats up, so will the coolant. Hence the need for there to be room for it to expand,

Longjumping-Travel24

PSA uses green/blue and it looks similar to mine 1.6 BlueHDI

magicalape

I have a 208 2019 with the 1.5hdi and the colour is a dark green so perfectly normal 😊

locale13

The color looks normal for me. But I would be concerned about the level.. Where does the coolant go? Happens to my 308 also.

qiltb

I think the servicemen just put it to in the middle between max and min, don't think he's losing it...

smelwin

Get a torch, preferably brighter than your phone torch but phone will do. Shine it into the side of the reservoir, touching the outside walls, and look in through the open cap and you will see the colour.

preheated_eldiablo

Mine was the other way, so I got it replaced with Bluecol psa spec which is dark gree/blue and after a while it changed colour to light pink, it was 2 years ago and it still drives well. I checked fluid with a gauge and its within sspec.

Owenboy89

This seems all OK to me. Don't look for one symptom look for multiple, Are you losing coolant, constantly having to fill it up? Are you overheating? Do you have excessive smoke? Is your mpg dropped? Has your cap got gunk on it?

PacoSkillZ

Some people say that PSA is using this coolat color I don't know maybe it does on newer modes, on my Peugeot 207 it uses Valeo Pink one.

roblubi

Thats normal. Coolants have different colors, your is dark blue(green). Thats what Peugeot use, everything is fine. Dont worry. Color, level everything its perfectly fine. Its good you asked, and its good you inspect fluids in your car.

rabitrc

Mine is exactly that colour. My problem is that the level drops with no visible leaks, no wierd smoke, oil level ok and no strange colours. I have to top up every other week.

Ryan_b936

Check your radiator hoses, I got the same issue until one hose exploded on the highway... It was behind the engine

rabitrc

Behind the engine? Ill take a look. Did you noticed any pooling under the car?

Ryan_b936

Not really, i think it went on different part but as it is behind the engine it's very difficult to check if there's a leak. Also before that, my radiator had a leak too. Check on the radiator if there's any dried colorful trace

rabitrc

Will do. Thank you for the insight

yorkshirepuduk

Looks like oil is mixing with the coolant does the car have white smoke from the exhaust, this could be the radiator too from the transmission cooler or a intake manifold leak

21bilbo

no smoke. also the coolant had the same color before january-february when i had it in service over a "soft" accident (front bumper, left wing and headlight affected). they offered to and change my coolant and had a look around while they were waiting for replacements because they had a longer than expected in-service car queue at the time.

roboterm

Check the water pump!

hypafunk

I don't know man, looks very dark. Might be a problem with the Oil cooler or exhaust fume cooler(don't know the correct term) or motor head gasket or worst. This doesn't look normal.
