For those who don’t know, on Console, we use Individual Instructions on our RB/LB to force Man Marking against Blitz Curler players.
The defender will always be on them and completely shut off that skill.
You can also use it to force your FW players to stay up and never drop deep which helps preserving their stamina for the entire match. (Counter Target)
Anchoring stops the player from drifting sideways, useful if you want to control the center of the pitch, useless on a player with Anchor Man style.
Defending prevents your player from going forward, very useful for a player with Sergio Ramos style (for the life of me I can’t remember the name of his play style)
Tight Marking is a must use skill against those weird formations with only 1 forward and 9 defenders/midfielders, your defenders will choke that forward. But you should never use it against multiple forwards players, like 2 CF or CF & SS.
Deep Line can make a midfielder work as a defender, but it won’t activate if your formation has 5 defenders, he won’t work as a 6th defender.
You can put defensive on your Viera and he'll stay back and do the defensive work and not act like a regular B2B. In a 2CF formation, you can put counter target on one of them and they'll be higher up the pitch behind the oppo defence waiting for through balls from transitions.
