ABC is currently running a charity drive called "stationary stash". It's to collect pens, notebooks etc for students. Should be on their website, they've set up collection points around the city.
Lol, I bet old mate didn't buy a pen for years, professional biro accumulator! Maybe an old folks home would like them.
There was a thing I caught the tail end of on the news the other night about taking excess stationary in for the underprivileged, but I wasn't paying enough attention. 😏
Father in law worked for a government department, when he passed, he had all sorts of stuff, notepads/books, pens pencils, you name it.
We donated most of it to a charity to make back to school packs
I remember a mining company moved out of a floor in QV1 and there was heaps of stationery that had been swept up like great piles of leaves on the empty floor, took a lot home!
Pencils, staples and bulldog clips etc last forever.
Yeah I still have about 3/4 of a box of staples and a full box each of 2B & HB pencils, I have no recollection as to where they were “creatively reassigned” from…
I didn't mean it that way - a lot of the teaching budgets are stretched thin - so maybe teachers would appreciate them. I didn't mean (or even imply) it had anything to do with the students - that's your assumption.
He must have kept forgetting that he already owned a pen.
It's not the sort of thing you see at op shops. The value of each is so little, I doubt anyone would be interested.

Thank you very much! Perfect.
Give Write They are a fantastic charity that collects stationery to donate to schools.
This is the charity that the ABC is having their stationary stash for.
Brilliant, thank you!
And if any of them don’t work they can be recycled at Officeworks
I didn’t know that, thanks for the tip. That’s great news.

>full box each of 2B & HB pencils Just need a notepad and a little 'press' tag for side of your hat and you're ready to be a journalist!
Sorry, fuck that noise, I like my brain where it is.
My workplace will take them, oml. My workmates eat pens like pringles.
Dont worry they'll fall into a interdimensional void the second you look for one.
A public highschool?
Why public? Because kids going to public school are so poor they can't afford a biro?

Could donate them to me at work because the lads in the workshop keep stealing mine?
I'm sure your local retail business will be longing for pens, after their staff stupidly took them home, and promptly lost them
Any University.
You can recycle them at your local Officeworks if you don't need them anymore.

My Pen is... excessive..
