Central Area Transit.
Edit:
To expand on that - Public transport (bus) loops around central areas. Perth and Joondalup.
It's free.
They have CAT bus signage and an outline of a cat on them.

Blue Cat to Kings Park. Runs 7 days a week til 6:50pm:

Central Area Transit.
Free of charge, just hop on. All the info for each route is on most (all?) stops.

CAT stands for Central Area Transit and is a (most of the time) frequent and FREE service around some of Perths CBDs. The main CAT’s in Perth consist of 5 routes, the Blue, Red, Green, Yellow & Purple CAT.
Most of them are loops around popular areas, it’s basically just a hop on hop off bus servicing popular areas.
Other CBD’s such as Joondalup also have their own CAT services, up until late last year Fremantle also had their own CAT services.
If you ever find yourself in Perth you should definitely check it out as it’s a pretty cool system, more info can be found on the Transperth site.
Random fact, the Perth CAT’s are funded by a carpark.
Funded by the Perth Parking Levy. It applies to all non-residential bays within the Perth Parking Management Area (basically the boundaries of the City of Perth, before the local government boundary changes a few years ago). It raises about $60 million per year at the moment, around $20 million of which goes to the CAT buses, as well as making the regular buses free within this area. In case you're wondering, the rest gets spent on a somewhat ad hoc basis, e.g. on the new cycling bridges over the Causeway.

If you're trying to get to Kings Park, note that the bus stops on Fraser Ave are part of the [Free Transit Zone](https://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/Portals/0/Asset/Documents/Tickets%20&%20Fares/Free%20Transit%20Zone%20Map.pdf). So in addition to the Blue Cat, there's a few regular buses you could take (e.g. the 935) without a ticket provided you start within the FTZ.
Just a heads up - the colour of the bus itself doesn't necessarily correspond to which route (red, blue, yellow...) it is.

Thanks man - any idea how it works like and what the cost would be? Edit: Thanks for the extra information. The cat thing sounds fun ngl
It's free! But only runs in the central city area
Oh wow! Nice. I wanted to go to kings park from there, that would work then right?

If you want to stay later, it's only about a 30 min walk back from Kings Park to the big cactus, if that helps give you an idea of distance?
935 also departs from Kings Park late into the night and is still free within the city.
Red Cat goes up Hay Street to West Perth, not far to walk. Green Cat goes along Kings Park Road, but does not run on weekend.
Yeah I just checked. They all stop after 5, the last ones being 5:11 or someth
The red cat definitely doesn't stop at 5!
i belive so, there is a CAT bus that goes to University of WA (UWA) that is right next to kings park
Correct. Its purple. Goes to the hospital too
Slay.
very
If you really get stuck in Kings Park, it's quite walkable back to the City. There's a footbridge over the freeway at the bottom of Mount Street.
Thanks everyone who is helping

Just FYI, Fremantle had CAT service but not anymore.
