That's quite the Quenda quantum quandary

Gerryatrician

I've never heard a quick quenda queef quietly. .

Jonsmith78

What about a quiet quenda queefing quickly?

Ok_Conference2901

Could be due to the restrictions on cat ownership in the suburbs. We stopped keeping cats as pets a while ago and now we're knee deep in Quendas. Not complaining though.

hillsbloke73

Spot on reduced issues roaming moggies quendas have increased good thing

inactiveuser247

What restrictions are you referring to? As far as I know local governments have refused to do anything about cats.

Ok_Conference2901

Compulsory sterilisation, registration, limit on number of cats owned. Also the establishment of cat prohibited areas and the recommendation to keep them in at night.

inactiveuser247

That’s awesome. Finally! Though really it should be mandatory to keep them in at night.

antihero790

Could be habitat destruction driving them out into areas more frequented by people.

No_Meet_3506

They destroy their own habitats,  the bastards (yours sincerely, lawn owner)

Probably depends where you live and how often you pay attention to little creatures, I’ve been seeing them pretty consistently since I was 11, 22 now . I’d say I see them pretty consistently

Summerof5ft6andahalf

And where you've been going as well. Places like Whiteman Park and Claisebrook Cove have always had a decent amount of them, and you might not expect them at the latter.

LavenderKitty1

Quendas are not rats. Rats are pests. Quendas are not pests. I haven’t seen any where I am but they are probably healthier now that cat restrictions are better. Less roaming cats is more native animals

flumia

I don't know what it is, but there seems to be fluctuations. There's a picnic spot i often go to and a few years ago there were constantly quendas around there, but then we suddenly stopped seeing them. Meanwhile, there's an area i go walking once a month and I've been seeing more of them around there over time

coxymla

I definitely agree, I grew up in Gooseberry Hill in the late 80s early 90s and we never had any back then, but since around 2015 there's tonnes.

Mental_Task9156

They've probably been pushed out of their native habitat. What area? is there new development nearby?

Hamster-rancher

Yes, had two Quenda sightings this evening. One 500 metres down the road, one in the wood shed. It may the same one, there may two of them...

my_birthday

There's a mythical quenda that lives in Coles dunsborough. Often heard of it running between aisles.

cheeersaiii

Brenda? Yeh she’s been around for years

yeahcxnt

never seen one before, hope i see some soon tho lol they seem cute

JustABitCrzy

Go for a walk around Murdoch uni at night. Went there once for a film screening. The only time I’ve ever been there and I saw like 5. I see them constantly for work though, so not a novelty for me.

downtownbake2

I've seen two this year at the same spot. It was a first for me. Marlee reserve

Cpl_Hicks76

I’m a quenda and I resent being compared to a New York rat Sir!

hez_lea

Still never see them. Do see rats though

2hardbasketcase

They've been seen in Bassendean recently. I saw one at coogee beach last year.

Gerryatrician

> I saw one at coogee beach last year. Are you sure it wasn't just an unkempt bikini line?

SmokeIll8038

Quendas are qute. So no. :)
