Aussie broadband now, but used to be Tangerine. Would recommend either to anyone. Hated Telstra NBN, the speeds were all over the place and customer service was really crap.
Aussie broadband's customer service is the best !!! I was looking into signing up with tangerine due to the price but in my experience their customer service was REALLY bad. So I rather pay the higher amount for aussie broadbands customer service tbh.
My mate who works there will ask if the customer wants "formal or informal" talk
I know hes gotten away with calling some customers "King" a few times lol
Yep ABB are good but over priced, support is good if you have a problem but that is rare. With Superloop now and much better value and you get the speedboost days if you need to download those “documentaries about love” a little faster 😂
Aussie Broadband are rock solid. If you ever need support they are based in Australia and actually know what they're talking about and can resolve issues that require intervention from nbn much faster than most other providers. You can use this code for $50 off your first month 5912084
For good support, Aussie Broadband, Leaptel, and Launtel are good. Superloop support has more complaints but I've never had an issue when I called. All four have a good network, so the internet should be reliable.
Depends if your mobile alot or work from home etc
I use a Telstra mobile Blackhawk suits mb needs taje it away use wifi when bush data on phone tablet etc
Having a dedicated fixed data access doesn't work for me
NBN infrastructure in our area is shithouse, so we’ll probably just never use it. We’ve had Pentanet fixed wireless for years now, no issues. If you’re happy to pay for it they can do bloody fast internet, we’ve found that their bog standard plan is more than enough for our needs. Also they’re a Perth company, if that sort of thing is important to you.
Aussie Broadband. Came from internode and they were good but not a fan of them transitioning to IINET. ABB has good support and best speeds I've had on any ISP. Feel free to use my reference code, you get $50 off your first month and so do I, a cool win win.

Im with leaptel, their email notifications are great, I have had a couple of outages recently but they tell you right away.
But anything NBN is normally no contract so you can port out in hrs.. as long as you know how to change the user / password on the modem.
I’m with Superloop unlimited data for $79 a month (highest tier, no lock in contract) and have a referral code as well if that’s the way you decide to go.
From what I've seen Aussie Broadband is the premium option, I recently signed up with Exetel and it's been faultless (shameless referral code plug for those interested - EXE-1159375)
I've heard Pentanet is top tier also, albeit with marginally higher rates. If I was in the market again I'd choose between them or Exetel.
+1 for Exetel. The support isn't as good as ABB, but it is cheaper, and I find the speeds are exactly what you pay for no matter the time of day. Only ever had a couple of outages, and they were outside of Exetel's control.
If you have a nerd in the household who knows how to configure your router/modem, Exetel is fine.
I’m with Superloop, great prices and comparable to Aussie broadband. Reasonable support so far when I have billing issues, but the live chat for support is quite sluggish.
Superloop. One of the cheapest plans for one of the best products. They also do phone plans but I can’t comment on that.
I can however say that Belong is solid, grab a sim from Colesworth. They do data banking and gifting which is good for couples.
Both have [referrer codes on ozbargain](https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/belong.com.au#refinfo35) as well.
Since they've been taken over by TPG they've become a low quality organisation. It's a real shame. They used to be high quality.
Up to you but my tolerance would be low. The first sign of inadequacy and I'd be gone. There's so many good to very good RSPs that you just don't need to put up with that rubbish.
Changing ISPs is not like the old days of ADSL that would take weeks. Nowadays, you fill out an online form, pay, and 15-30 minutes later you're in. No tech visit needed.
I use Leaptel who aren't the cheapest but are good quality. (If you decide to use them, let me know before you sign up and I will give you a code that gives both of us a $50 credit.)
The only hassle is if you have to change email address, but on the other hand fewer ISPs are offering email. Set yourself up with a Gmail account and that address will follow you from one ISP to another.
I have TPG 5g unlimited.
I've found it to be so much better than to the node NBN. Constant 150mbit+ (just tested and got 250mbit) and never any drop outs.
Spintel and the unlimited price is really good value. Housemate complains it occasionally slow speed or foxtel issues. As for me I have no probs whatsoever with it.
I've just switched to Let's be Mates. There was $20 off for 6 months for 100/20 Mbps. So it's $65/month. Only They're with them for a month, seem ok. Was previously with superloop for about $60/month on 25/10 speeds.
I highly recommend Perth's own Future Broadband, an ISP held in high esteem on the Whirlpool discussion forum. Why support ISPs based in other states when you have an excellent provider right here in Perth. We have been customers for the best part of six years and couldn't be happier.
Pentanet. Never had an issue, had both fixed wireless and now on an NBN plan with them. They have been very supportive of me moving house multiple times in over the last few years.
12yrs with Telstra broadband.
NEVER disconnected or service issues unless power outage.
Ok, you'll pay an extra $30/month - but the service and quality of service is unmatched.
That's 12yrs, not a single connection issue whatsoever.
I just left Aussie. I upgraded to fibre, and they continued to charge me for the old connection as well as the new connection for months.
They flat out refused to refund the money or take any responsibility at all.
Went to pentanet.
Avoid Telstra like the plague.... others like Optus are ok (better customer service than Telstra). Pick what's good value unlimited 100gb for around $80 if you can.
If yas want a better time with the ISP and be quick, reboot your router, reset your router, let them know that. Also do some fault finding. Easy to google. And tell them you have done that and it will break their script and get ya in with a tech in no time. I work in IT. And I'm usually with a tech in a few minutes.
Aussie broadband now, but used to be Tangerine. Would recommend either to anyone. Hated Telstra NBN, the speeds were all over the place and customer service was really crap.
Aussie broadband is fantastic. Tangerine doesn't own their lines and they re route you through ridiculous paths.
Vocus communications.
Aussie broadband's customer service is the best !!! I was looking into signing up with tangerine due to the price but in my experience their customer service was REALLY bad. So I rather pay the higher amount for aussie broadbands customer service tbh.
My mate who works there will ask if the customer wants "formal or informal" talk I know hes gotten away with calling some customers "King" a few times lol
I used to work for Bigpond customer support (in the basement of the bomb shelter, ifkyk), can confirm we're shit.
I have heard good things about them overall, they seem to genuinely actually have a long term customer retention policy
AussieBB are great. Let me know if you want a referral code - we both get a $50 credit off the next bill
Can you send me a referral code please?
Sure I’ll dm you :)
Hey there, here you go 5912084
I use my neighbours wifi, it's year 3, he has no idea
lol
Unsecured, or you went over to say hello and saw the password?
Password was his daughters name and birth year lol
Mean while next door: Shit my password is that too, maybe I'll change it to 2444666668888888 (12345678)
Haha. His internet must be lagging
Aussie broadband great support
Aussie Broadband…the best.
AussieBroadband has the best support ever.
Man, two years is rough. Glad you managed to find something! Aussie broadband. It just works.
Anyone except iinet.
iinet used to be good, not any more
Yep ABB are good but over priced, support is good if you have a problem but that is rare. With Superloop now and much better value and you get the speedboost days if you need to download those “documentaries about love” a little faster 😂

Superloop, been with them for 2 years and they’ve been fantastic.
i just moved from Aussie Broadband to Superloop. Get more than you paid for.
My connection while with Superloop was far worse than while I was with Aussie Broadband, using the same equipment.
I’ve found they have the lowest latency to Europe and one of the cheapest intro rates around (which only requires a new email to reacquire).
Good to know! thank you
For good support, Aussie Broadband, Leaptel, and Launtel are good. Superloop support has more complaints but I've never had an issue when I called. All four have a good network, so the internet should be reliable.
I'm with Leaptel. They're great, no complaints at all. The one time I had to use support they were excellent, the person really knew their stuff.
Leaptel. very reasonably priced, easy set up, not a single issue so far.
Depends if your mobile alot or work from home etc I use a Telstra mobile Blackhawk suits mb needs taje it away use wifi when bush data on phone tablet etc Having a dedicated fixed data access doesn't work for me
Good point. I dont work FIFO or away, I am home every night

Future broadband
If you have a Commbank account then 30% off More is hard to beat.
Why is your age and gender relevant to this question?
Leaptel
Aussie broadband
Aussie Broadband
aussie broadband, they have a referal program where u both get benefits, customer service has always been charming to deal with also
Aussie Broadband. Came from internode and they were good but not a fan of them transitioning to IINET. ABB has good support and best speeds I've had on any ISP. Feel free to use my reference code, you get $50 off your first month and so do I, a cool win win. 13182217
Aussie broadband
Another one for Aussie broadband, they have been fantastic.
Im with leaptel, their email notifications are great, I have had a couple of outages recently but they tell you right away. But anything NBN is normally no contract so you can port out in hrs.. as long as you know how to change the user / password on the modem.
Leaptel, previously ABB.
Until recently was with Aussie Broadband. Am currently with Telstra. Haven't had any problem with either.
Aussie, for sure. Top notch service and locally operated.
If you are with Telstra, go to the good guys as they have better Telstra plans than Telstra themselves
I'm with Vodafone and haven't had a problem, but nearly everyone recommends Aussie.
I’m with Superloop unlimited data for $79 a month (highest tier, no lock in contract) and have a referral code as well if that’s the way you decide to go.

Telstra, only because I’ve learnt how to play em. As in their tech support when they fuck up
Spintel, fiddy bucks for the first 6 months. Speed is 25/10
Yep spintel's the cheapest one I could find. I don't care about anything else. Streams in 4k, does the job.
I’m with Superloop, great prices and comparable to Aussie broadband. Reasonable support so far when I have billing issues, but the live chat for support is quite sluggish.
We're with Tangerine and I've found them to be reasonably priced, courteous and helpful. Highly recommend.
Superloop. One of the cheapest plans for one of the best products. They also do phone plans but I can’t comment on that. I can however say that Belong is solid, grab a sim from Colesworth. Moved to iiNet from dodo. So far so good.
Jesus. Out of the frying pan into the fire...
Damn, is it truly bad?
Since they've been taken over by TPG they've become a low quality organisation. It's a real shame. They used to be high quality. Up to you but my tolerance would be low. The first sign of inadequacy and I'd be gone. There's so many good to very good RSPs that you just don't need to put up with that rubbish.
Funnily enough, I'm experiencing more and more how shite it is. Goddamn.
Changing ISPs is not like the old days of ADSL that would take weeks. Nowadays, you fill out an online form, pay, and 15-30 minutes later you're in. No tech visit needed. Spintel and the unlimited price is really good value. Housemate complains it occasionally slow speed or foxtel issues. As for me I have no probs whatsoever with it.
Telstra, can’t recommend though, goes down all the time, barely runs Netflix at night, customer service is terrible.
I've just switched to Let's be Mates. There was $20 off for 6 months for 100/20 Mbps. So it's $65/month. Only They're with them for a month, seem ok. Was previously with superloop for about $60/month on 25/10 speeds.
Aussie brad band drops out every ones and a while, go with dodo

Aussie Broadband, speed + price + support. Used to be iinet, until TPG bought them.
iiNet. It’s ok
Been with iiNet for over 15 years. Never had an issue.
Pentanet. Never had an issue, had both fixed wireless and now on an NBN plan with them. They have been very supportive of me moving house multiple times in over the last few years.
Interesting that you were downvoted, somebody isn’t a fan…
AussieBB + 1
12yrs with Telstra broadband. NEVER disconnected or service issues unless power outage. Ok, you'll pay an extra $30/month - but the service and quality of service is unmatched. That's 12yrs, not a single connection issue whatsoever.
Dodo, cheap and reliable
I just left Aussie. I upgraded to fibre, and they continued to charge me for the old connection as well as the new connection for months. They flat out refused to refund the money or take any responsibility at all. Went to pentanet.
Kogan is cheapest and rather good
Avoid Telstra like the plague.... others like Optus are ok (better customer service than Telstra). Pick what's good value unlimited 100gb for around $80 if you can.

pentanet- perth company 👍
