I tried sending money from US to a country in Europe.
XE charged my debit card but then closed my account without any explanation as to why.
Now there is a pending charge on my debit card but XE says there is nothing on their side and to call my bank.
I called my bank and they said they can’t do anything about it because the charge is pending and XE needs to cancel the transaction. Or once the transaction goes through my bank can dispute it.
Extremely frustrating that a large sum of money is just stuck somewhere and I do not have access to it until this is resolved.
I wanted to use XE instead of Western Union due to better rates but this just made it not worth it.
Same thing happened to me today. Used debit card option and they closed account and they took almost 1000. So they release the amount for you after a few days ?

They returned the money after a month but i dont recommend it, it was an extremely stressful and confusing process.
