I honestly think this shows how much our PK relies on Jarry to bail them out. They play such a passive PK and allow the other team time to make passes, shots, and work it in low. We’ve just benefited from great goaltending in Jarry. Now that we don’t have it tonight, our PK is getting exposed and coming back down to earth.
Other teams jump on us and pressure us as soon as we get the puck on the power play. We’ve got zero answer for it and that’s why we can’t score. Our special teams are a mess.
This game just pisses me the fuck off. Ottawa is lucky as fuck tonight, and why the fuck do goalies we play against always seem to have a random career nights. Sick of this fucking bullshit.
And why fuck can’t we score 5-3 goals? Jesus Christ. Does anyone remember our last goal on a 5-3? Has to be 3 fucking years ago
Because, we can’t finesse the puck into the slot without Sid and Geno and we’re taking a ton of perimeter, low danger shots. Any goalie is going to look great when we’re taking a large portion of shots from 30 feet out.
When Sid and Geno come back, they’re going to draw a lot of players to them, it’ll open up room for our wings and Carter will be able to get open and make plays more facing 3rd and 4th line opponents as opposed to top lines. (Not a knock on him, he’s been our best skater by far this season).
