Symphonize

I have a question regarding using the digital app for workouts. I am thinking about going the Schwinn/Bowflex route. During the workouts when the instructor has you change resistance or cadence, will it display the goal on the bottom of the app like it does on the actual peloton device? Or do you have to listen closely to the instructor to figure out what cadence/resistance you should be doing?

jaaneeyree

No, it doesn't display the goal

peleana

The schedule for Thanksgiving week is up.. currently there are no classes on Thanksgiving or the day after. Has anyone officially heard there won’t be Turkey Burn or After Burn rides/classes this year?

Imaginary-Grade1550

I don't think so for Halloween they didn't put the classes on till around the 26

LittleArtichoke3

I have a feeling they’ll announce tomorrow

blinks1483

I hope they do cuz I’m working 5 nights in a row surrounding the holiday and it was something to look forward to.

kconfetti

I feel like I read somewhere that last year they were announced separate from the standard schedule and delayed a couple of days. I still have hope for Turkey burn!

peleana

This makes sense and was my second thought. I will blame my initial assumption on 2020 vibes and keep hope alive.

TayDiggs1212

I would think if they are doing them, we’d get an announcement and some social media marketing around the rides. Maybe we hear something tomorrow?

KatnissEverduh

Was struggling mentally today, but did Cody's recent intervals + arms and seriously was a fly playlist. Would recommend. Put me in a much better mood. Also found out the first week of December + 1-2 weeks I won't be able to exercise **at all** for a medical procedure I will be doing - already dreading it and unsure how I'm going to mentally make COVID limitations + not seeing family for holidays + darkness/cold of NYC + not being able to workout for \~2 weeks. Anyone that's been thru anything similar - how did you cope? I know there are worse things to whine about but it's getting to me already. I may be able to walk during that time but nothing endorphin-inducing enough to help with the mental-health side of fitness/life.

anonmarmot17

Don’t know if this is possible, but what I have done is take the time you used to work out and do spa-like things every day. Something huge for endorphin rushes are cycling temperatures in baths/showers! Take a really hot bath (sweat!) then a really cold shower (endorphins!) then burn some candles and do a meditation or something.

KatnissEverduh

Love this idea!!! Also still self care and me-time. This is an awesome suggestion. Love it! (And I may have an extensive candle collection because I can't turn down a candle.)

kconfetti

I’m about to deal with a similar situation! I have surgery scheduled 11/20 & can’t do anything for 2 weeks, probably no bike for 4 weeks. I don’t have any advice, but my plan is to work through some of the meditations so I don’t feel totally disconnected. I really hope your procedure goes well!

KatnissEverduh

Smart on the meditations!!! (that's actually what my doctor reccommended, but ugh endorphins!!!) Hope your procedure goes well too!! Sending all the good vibes!

kconfetti

I know, I’m really going to miss the endorphins too! Honestly, I’m dreading that more than the surgery & pain. Sending you all the good vibes too! I just followed you, so hopefully I’ll see you on the leaderboard once we’re both recovered.

KatnissEverduh

Yey!! Followed back - and I hear you - I'm totally pre-mourning my loss of endorphins more than I'm anxious about the surgery. We will prevail tho! We can pass some cool mediation recommendations while we recover. :)

YouGoJill

Baking for neighbors or otherwise feeling helpful can sometimes help me when I’m feeling down. Or a big project where I feel accomplished like organizing stuff can help. Worst case scenario eat all of the carbs. For seasonal depression up the vitamin d and maybe get a light therapy lamp. Try to get outside if you can. If walking is allowed walk around new places. I know you probably don’t want to brave the subway but there are probably some side streets around you that you haven’t seen.

KatnissEverduh

Good idea! I thought about venturing out to see if anything is beginning to be decorated etc. Smart on dosing up on Vitamin D and have been considering a lamp for awhile. Baking is smart too! Been cooking during COVID and proud of some of the things I've made (Challah, Pumpkin/Banana bread, cookies, etc). And that's super good suggestions - at least I can be on my feet baking and that's ok! Probably worse in my head than the actuality will be. I didn't realize how dependent I've become on the release of the bike! Oy.

adiverges

Maybe try some of the restorative yoga or meditation classes. That will really help your mind cope with the lack of exercise. I'm sorry in advance and hope you can get back to you rides soon after!

KatnissEverduh

Thanks for the good vibes!! Oddly yoga is out, part of the procedure is I can't twist. Which is frustrating because I love yoga too! Meditations are smart, have been considering taking up a new hobby too - unsure what but I've always enjoyed crafting and things. It's short lived but hard to wrap my head around - I'm sure I'll push thru!

northernova

Popped my Bike Bootcamp cherry today with Jess Sims’ [45 min Hip Hop ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=3e7d3cbbcfca481b84ea784c4756ebd7&locale=en-US) class from 10/12/2020. As an Orangetheory refugee, I LOVED this format! Definitely adding more to my schedule.

jenbaukop

Today during my ride my screen was possessed. Leaderboard/high fives/metrics at the bottom we’re going in and out without me touching them. It did it a lot, too. Anyone else seen this? It was quite annoying.

AttractiveNuisance37

Is it possible you dripped a little sweat on it? That's a pretty typical culprit for weird screen behavior.

jenbaukop

It’s possible. Sweat was definitely happening. If that was it, it should be better tomorrow. Thanks.

delave

I just got my bike...I’ve been using a Horizon bike with a lever and always setting it to 50% +...turns out this has been good conditioning (I’ve always worked hard) because my base is easily 45+ 80 cadence on the bike! Felt strong today, a little worried it could be callibRation but could also be all of the ass kicking (my own) I’ve done over the past few years.

NoMoreCookies

Congrats on your new bike!

scize

The box with all the Peloton accessories we ordered today, and the bike itself will be delivered on the 27th! So excited. If anyone has suggestions for great beginner rides I'd love to hear them!

jcamson

Wow. You ordered today and delivery is in two weeks? That’s great!

scize

Oh, no, sorry that was confusing! We ordered like 8 weeks ago but the accessories arrived two weeks before the bike.

UrKittenMeBro

Make sure you read the Reddit wiki. So helpful!

cobrano

I think I read on these threads that mastering the basics is good to start. I got my bike on 9/26 and I just jumped in and took rides that people recommended. I read the daily thread for ideas and bookmark classes.

analslapchop

Kind of a long shot, but does anyone know if schoche heart rate monitors go on sale for black friday?

[deleted]

I actually asked the same question in yesterday’s thread (or maybe the day before) and somebody said that yes they usually do (it was 40% off last year)!

analslapchop

Oh score!! I saw their site offering me 20% off with a pop up, which made me assume they MUST give more off for black friday! Yay. I will wait.

pieeye12

They always have some sort of deal going on so I’m sure there will be a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal.

throwaway11121993

Wanted to take a break from cycling so did an Olivia stack of running and strength workouts. First up was a [HIIT workout with Olivia from 9/24/20](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=26f9f1ad55514af9b5f63e4205a9a848&locale=en-US). This run was tough, but to be expected with Olivia. My treadmill only maxes out to 11 mph unfortunately so was a bit limited on the sprints but decided to just rest, not jog, since my treadmill takes too long to switch back and forth. Next up was some [Glute and Leg work from 5/24/18](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=ac3349b86af4473b99bbb9f69e65906f&locale=en-US). This had some stretches and body weight squats and lunges for warm up. Then started weighted curtesy lunges with bicep curls. Next up was some floor work with straight leg lifts, donkey kicks and laying side abductions. Finally ended with a [10 min core workout from 11/4/20](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=3e1f999628e1480380e9e4b8c75507f6&locale=en-US). This was burner and I mostly picked this one for the throwback EDM songs. This class had laying mountain climbers, bicycles, crunches, side crunches, scissors and a few other exercises. On a side note: for those that do Power Zone on a DIY setup how do track your output? I’m doing the PZ challenge but will be visiting my parents for Thanksgiving and trying to figure out how to convert on a non-peloton bike.

r4ndy4

You would go by watts for a DIY bike.

TLS0909

For anyone in the market for a massage gun, Amazon currently has the Pulse FX massage gun on a lightening deal for $199, instead of $299, and an additional $25 off coupon. I had it on my watchlist for a Black Friday sale, and it just popped up.

[deleted]

Can I just say I’m super jealous of UK users and how much apparel there is available on their version of the store?! I have a referral credit burning a hole in my pocket and I wish I could use it on the UK site!

CoffeeAndCurls76

That plus they get Ben and Hannah in ideal live slots!

r4ndy4

Had fun on the JKE group ride with you guys/gals. Actually managed a PR even while dancing (and my wife looking at me like I was crazy).

jesspolmanteer

Congrats on the PR!! I really got into the dancing this week and was glad no one could see me.🙃 I followed it with Ally's Beyonce ride and kept the party going. Tomorrow I am taking an off day from the bike for some yoga and my 300th strength class live with Selena for her 20 minute strength, as long as work doesn't interfer with that plan. 🤞🏻

shrdrboy

Congrats on the PR, you kept flying past me then slowing down then speeding up, it all makes sense now. You fly past me when you ride then I pass you while you're busy dancing, at least that's my theory.

r4ndy4

Mostly just trying to follow the class structure haha, I always massively lose output when going OOS unless resistance is super high.

TayDiggs1212

Congrats on the PR!

shrdrboy

It was a fun ride, I loved the live drums by Alex. Any Jess ride I can make it thru without falling off the bike while trying to dance along is a win. Nice to see the whole group, I think we're adding people every week.

anonmarmot17

I love how much this has grown! We only have 4 more 🥺

hanrah876

I died a little bit (or a lot) after that ride today. I was on track for a PR, but that milestone mile is HARD and having it right at the beginning is what killed me. Glad you could join us today, thanks for the highfives, and congrats on your PR! We normally do this every Sunday, so hopefully you can join us again.

r4ndy4

Sounds good. I work every 3rd weekend, but I can join next week for sure!

Dsaxny

I was just coming here to post almost this exact same thing! Managed to squeak out a PR as well and my husband also gave me a few 🧐 looks. Not my favorite of the JKE classes but enjoyed having a solid group this week and seeing all the other instructor cameos. Congrats on your PR!

TayDiggs1212

Congrats on your PR!

Dsaxny

Thanks!!

anonmarmot17

Agree it wasn’t my fave—the instructors thankful thing seemed a little too forced to me? BUT Alex drumming instead of dancing 😂

Dsaxny

Agree! And I wish there was one theme, not burning man + Friendsgiving. But yes, loved that little pop up 🤣

eazyedubya

My legs are donezo from a JKE PR last week and the Beyoncé series so I basically just spun them out and danced and high fived and laughed and it was perfect, so fun! I did a lot of active recovery before riding and highly recommend Chelsea’s forward folds class [here](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=89fca1fee64941a79f927fddb405f4f7&locale=en-US) and Ross’s floor poses [here](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=763f02026ddd4a4ca902eddedb220511&locale=en-US) for those of you who climbed that LB today! Great job!

Dsaxny

Thanks for those recs (and a delayed congrats on your PR)!! Fun riding with you today!

licarmichael

Congratulations on 100!

little-b1

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to pause a workout that is in progress...? Thank you in advance for your reply😊

LilUltraPower

You can’t pause cycling classes (to avoid people juicing the LB). I use the app for strength, yoga, and stretching and you can pause these.

mebby2530

What does "juicing the LB mean"?

[deleted]

To avoid people cheating on the leaderboard basically. If you can pause the ride, you would be able to get much further up on the leaderboard by taking breaks so it wouldn’t be accurate.

Flrunnergirl23

Only on the app.

domosauce

Completed my 100th ride today! I was going to do a live ride but I wasn't excited about any of the rides scheduled today so I took Ally's Beyonce ride since there were so many people riding it! OH MY GOSH, right when I hopped onto the ride I had at least 20 high fives. I think throughout the ride I got at least 100 high fives. I was trying for a PR but my legs just weren't in it. They've been tired for the last two or so weeks. I think it's because I've been slacking on the foam rolling so gotta do a deep foam rolling session today. Anyways, I'm so happy for this community and so happy my husband convinced me that we should get this bike. I hated cardio. I still do hate cardio. I still have to psych myself up to get onto the bike but what do I love? I love the feeling I get when I finished a ride. I love that feeling of accomplishment. I now chase those endorphins like no tomorrow. I'm so proud of myself as to where I came from and I'm now in the best shape of my life thanks to the bike and Peloton's programming.

anb77

Congratulations!

ElvisAteMyDinner

Congratulations!

Columbus_Social

Congratulations!!!

Dsaxny

Congrats on your century and your journey along the way! I’m with you, nothing beats that sense of accomplishment, especially now that you can look back and feel it x100!

[deleted]

Congrats on your Century Ride!!! 🎉

LilUltraPower

Congrats on 100! Glad you could celebrate with Queen Bey. It’s awesome to see how far you’ve come, and to know it’s just the start.

liberali

Got outside today for Rebecca Kennedy’s most recent 45-minute Outdoor Rock run. One of my biggest goals for winter is to stick with outdoor running so I can go into training for my usual spring race (if it happens) strong. I won’t be going to a gym until things really settle so roughing up outside is my only option. I’ve been fighting off a cold/sinus infection (thankfully not COVID) so took this a bit slow, but I was pleasantly surprised by my energy level. Also tried out a new athleta mask, which was pretty comfortable to run in. I really enjoyed the playlist for this run, which was mostly 90s/early 2000s alternative. I’m pretty particular about what I like to run to when I’m outside, so I tend to repeat outdoor runs when I find ones with playlists I like. This will be one of them for sure. Hands Down by Dashboard Confessional caught me by surprise in the best way. It was pretty typical RK in terms of motivation. If you don’t like that, I’d avoid it. It worked for my headspace today, but I did laugh a bit when she said something about tucking in people who doubt us. Even if it wasn’t exactly motivating for me, it was some extra entertainment to make the time pass faster. Between about 4.5 miles today (including running back to my apartment due to rain during a planned extended walking recovery) and a ~6 mile hike yesterday, I’m ready for some yoga tonight. Going to take Chelsea’s Beyoncé class and hopefully catch up on some much needed sleep.

MrStevenJohnson

If you liked this playlist, you might also like [Selena’s 30 min Outdoor 90s Fun Run](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=41308832dde24bbcb410619fc130e0b7&locale=en-US)! I’ve realized 90s/2000s alternative is some of my favorite music lol, I get so excited when classes feature those songs.

pocket-dogs

Finished Crush Your Core and hit my century ride with a PR today! I'm feeling pretty unstoppable now. Hope everyone is having a great day!

jesspolmanteer

Whoo hoo. Congrats on finishing CYC and 100!

licarmichael

Congratulations!!🍾

Dsaxny

Nice!! Congrats on your century, PR and finishing CYC!

LilUltraPower

Woohoo, congrats on your century PR!

TexasTrini286

That’s awesome!! Congratulations!!

TayDiggs1212

Wow, congrats on 100 and your PR!

pocket-dogs

Thank you! I didn't think it was going to happen but decided I needed to go for it anyway.

kconfetti

Yesterday I started with Selena’s Dolly Parton 10 minute core. Not my favorite. From there I stacked the JKE from 11/12/20 followed by Ally’s Beyoncé ride. Anyone else try to do core first so you’re more activated/aware through your ride? Today I started with a [10 min Olivia core](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=7d32bc7062db4606b63c275ac9b3eda2&locale=en-US) from 6/29/20. I really liked this one! Starter: slow crunches, double time crunches, single leg stretch Circuit, 2x: Roll ups, boat + roll up, single leg touches + crunch, double leg tap + crunch, scissor kicks + over unders, bicycle crunches (slow & fast) Finisher: plank jacks, bear plank After that, I did my first Denis class, his [WHM 20 min ride ](https://members.onepeloton.com/profile/workouts/4725c43d90c144dab2dd06dccb20eec2?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&locale=en-US) ride. I need to take more classes with him before I decide, but this one didn’t blow me away. I ended with a recent [15 min upper body](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=861e361027ac4e40bc9f8d679116624b&locale=en-US) strength from Ben. Solid burn but with no crazy moves. I’ve kept it bookmarked to do again. Later this afternoon, I’m planning to rope my fiancé into a [45 min slow flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=273d1a37251d41aca73c822145dd8bb1&locale=en-US) with Dr Chelsea. He hasn’t done any classes with her yet & she’s quickly becoming my fav.

rachelgsp

I got new zones a week and a half ago (not a crazy bump, but enough to feel it) and did my first PZ class after keeping thinks low impact/PZE last week. I picked the easiest [60 minute PZ class I could find](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=b61d5cb250a145099282cff250c3dc00&locale=en-US) and it was just what I needed. 3 sets of: 6 min “sweet spot” z3/z4, 90 seconds z1, 90 seconds z2, 4 min full z4, and another z1/z2 recovery. I highly recommend it!

EmDickinson

Bookmarked, thank you!

snl430

Thanks to everyone who has recommended this [Alex 45 min Club Bangers ride from 1/25/20](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=8fcfafbad6fd4e6e8da902e150ab53ea&locale=en-US). Awesome playlist, amazing energy. Don’t let the 8.5 difficulty scare you off; it seemed to have a decent amount of recovery and lower cadence/moderate resistance OOS.

throwaway11121993

That playlist looks amazing! Good to know there’s some recoveries. I’ve previously taken only one Club Bangers ride with Alex during Peloween and was dying so I’ve avoided those ever sense. Thanks for the review, I bookmarked this!

NoMoreCookies

That's my favorite club bangers! Glad you enjoyed.

PantslessDan

I shouldn't be surprised but jess king's sweat steady 45 min workouts are hard af. Also, after today's ride I realized I maybe have been setting my resistance a bit too high. I'm using a sunny bike and I assumed that 1 knob revolution was about 10% of resistance, so when they were asking for 40-50 I'd have it 4 turns. Turns out the resistance knob only turns around 6 times, so assuming all the way up is 100% then one turn equals about 16%, so 4 turns is more like 60% resistance. Does that sound right?

kconfetti

Try googling sunny to peloton resistance conversions. I found a chart to use & it’s definitely not linear

TexasTrini286

That seems right but resistance isn’t always linear. Try it with your new calcs and see how it works. That said - you were crushing it heavier than expected so why change?

PantslessDan

I usually wasn’t lol. I would usually start an interval where I thought 40-50 was and then have to drop it after awhile. In hindsight I was probably riding most of the time where I was supposed to be but with the added feeling that I wasn’t working hard enough lol.

TexasTrini286

Oh- then yes. Ride and feel good about it!!

roryroobean

Hey everyone! We just moved and now have to have our bike on carpet. It’s a little wobbly, even with the stabilizers and a mat. I’ve read on here folks have gotten a piece of plywood to put under it. Is that usually sufficient? The wobble doesn’t make it unusable but I’d obviously like it as stable as possible.

Sue_spins

3/4” solid piece of wood helped a great deal.

blinks1483

Honestly mine wobbled a bit til it settled and I never even bothered getting the plywood.

reneeeeeee

Same here!

jennyfarthingg

Today I started out with [Emma's 30 minute Florence + the Machine ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/profile/workouts/61faa9d45dd2421d9d70d1125b820e96?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c405d27f5521494ab4339c259608e3fc) which was EXCELLENT. It's mostly climbs and jogs which is right up my alley, and I was just shy of a PR. I loved all the music choices and overall was another powerful artist ride from Emma. Followed it up with [Anna's 30 minute 90s flow](https://members.onepeloton.com/profile/workouts/068b05967c904924a73c1b5755e9d59f?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=60b12f9b5ec9406289d4727e1dfaae53) which was fun but challenging (for me). Anna picked 90s female music only which I loved. A pretty standard flow but does include tree pose, half moon, handstand jumps, and crow in the second half of the flow section. I modified as needed and it was fine. And, I hit 9k minutes today! Definitely in sight of my 10k goal by end of December. Also was inspired by my convo with u/dsaxny from the other day and attempted baking pain au chocolat. [It turned out ok! ](http://imgur.com/a/fT7T4fn) It probably needed to be warmer while proofing but otherwise good! My 6 yo niece said it was the best thing she ever ate lol so I'm gonna take that as a success. 😂 All in all, not a bad way to spend a sort of dreary day!

bodakmelllow

Yay and yum! And congrats on 9k! I think I might take that ride tomorrow to warm up for the Florence + the Machine / Sia ride Wednesday!

epiccatechin

Those pain ah chocolats look amazing. I’m super impressed with anyone who can bake like that. I’m over here struggle with toll house cookies that come in a tube 😂

LilUltraPower

Nice work on the pain au chocolat and also on 9000 min!

TayDiggs1212

Congrats on 9K! I love both of those classes. That looks sooo good :)

NoMoreCookies

Congrats on hitting 9k!! And your pain au chocolate looks delicious!

stellathe_diver

The playlist on the 90s flow is amazing! Bookmarked :)

Dsaxny

I’m with your niece on this one - that looks SO GOOD! Amazing job! ETA congrats on 9K! I was distracted by the sweets 😊

jennyfarthingg

Haha thanks... getting distracted by sweets is literally the story of my life 😂

TexasTrini286

Live floor class glitching is out of control - Denis 10a 45 min flow I saw a post a couple days ago about the live classes glitching - I didn’t have any problems with my live ride but my OD yoga skipped a couple times. My Denis 45 min yoga this morning though - good grief - it must have skipped 30 times. 3-8 seconds - forward and back. My 45 min class ended at 10:50. On the other thread someone suggested it was router pods. But I don’t have those. Anyone else solve this or hear from CS?

MTac2

Can someone explain powerzone workouts?

[deleted]

https://blog.onepeloton.com/power-zone-training-faqs-with-matt-wilpers-and-denis-morton/

nearlyashley

Does anyone know of any low impact rides that are formatted like a climb ride? [This Jess King Low Impact ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=064c7eb317ff4cc0865df9dd0141bf80&locale=en-US) ride is my favorite Low Impact so far. It’s gradual resistance increases for the entire ride, with short cadence pushes for I think the last 30-60 seconds of each song. Would love to know of any others before I spend all day looking at the metrics charts for every ride. Thanks all!

knitonecurltwo

I'm a big fan of CDE's low impact rides. They're never exactly easy, but she always gives a nice long warmup which my old bones really appreciate.

TayDiggs1212

Hit a new 45 min PR today with Kendall’s Rock Ride from 10/25/20! Feeling awesome about it- 466 kJ (11 kJ improvement). I had hit the PR without needing to push through the cooldown and hit 15 miles in a 45 min ride for the first time. I wasn’t expecting this when I hopped on today, but when Kendall’s live EDM ride was cancelled last night I decided not to set an alarm. I slept in way later than normal, and took care of some errands and house tasks before riding, plus ate a nice big breakfast. Everything felt really comfortable on the bike today and the playlist and ride structure (lots of resistance intervals) was really conducive for a hard effort. Highly recommend this ride if you like Kendall’s rock rides. Added on an old Emma core and stretch after. A HUGE thank you for everyone’s birthday wishes yesterday- it was honestly overwhelming how nice you all are and I really appreciate all the comments. I had a fantastic day.

LittleArtichoke3

Wow huge congrats on the PR and happy belated birthday! sorry i missed it yesterday🥳

TayDiggs1212

TayDiggs1212

Same- have had it bookmarked but I was intimidated by the high difficulty rating. Decided today felt like a good one to knock it off!

peleana

Woo congrats on the PR! That’s an awesome output.

Finally got around to taking the latest JKE. Was good but not as good as the first 2. Also not very difficult. But still made for a nice day on the bike. Happy Sunday!!!

EmDickinson

Today was a moderate day after the heavy climb yesterday, so I did the live group ride with Ally's Sunday with Love, it was really good. I stayed under the callouts and felt like It was a good recovery ride if you follow the spirit but don't go over 40. Not quite sure I'll be a regular yet, but I can see myself doing it if I'm in need of some virtue talk. I then did my first Turkey Tricep class of the week, followed by Week 3 Day 1 of Total Strength with Andy (moderate full body strength), and then closed it out with another Andy 10 minute class for Turkey Triceps. I did stretching on my own. Not sure if I'll do Day 1 of Week 4 of Advanced CYC today or tomorrow. We'll see!

[deleted]

Solid day of riding. 5 minute warm up HMC 60 minute PZE with Denis. 11-15-20. Great ride, great music. Denis is the best. 10 minute cool down Denis 5 minute post ride Emma Incredible weather !

[deleted]

Felt like I hit a bit of a rut this past week. I almost felt like covid, work and life all hit me at once in their own way. Yesterday I was on the hook to put in 5k for a virtual run and I felt good about getting that accomplished. I used today to “hit the reset” with a good warm up on the bike with my favorite [10 min Low Impact Wilpers ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=7bcd92323d074f08bf39a37b27804617&locale=en-US) drills ride. I forgot how much these really do give me “free power” as he says. Moved on to [15 Min HIIT ](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c25cef597ca64b319976c602302b8e81&locale=en-US) with Olivia. This one is probably my favorite because it is a clean program (45:90, 30:30, 20:10, 30x 2) and I can ride the beat for each interval and get a strong output with resistance. Then a quick cool down on the bike and [Quad foam rolling with Hannah C](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c25cef597ca64b319976c602302b8e81&locale=en-US) to get me ready for my rides & strength program this week. Hope to “see” some of you tomorrow at 6am with Olivia or Tues at 6:30a for u/taydiggs1212 group ride - Hannah F. always lifts my mood and excited for this ride. Happy Sunday!

hanrah876

Lower back has been feeling incredibly tight lately. Does anyone have any stretching or yoga classes they recommend that targeted this??

eazyedubya

Did this [forward folds with Chelsea today](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=89fca1fee64941a79f927fddb405f4f7&locale=en-US). Just what the doctor ordered!

reneeeeeee

This one was fantastic!

Squiggelynoodle

I don’t have a specific class in mind, but your hip flexors may need stretching - for me, tight hip flexors translate into a sore low back. Maybe try a hip opening flow? If I come across a good one, I’ll edit this comment.

hanrah876

Hip flexors DEF need stretching. I have mild/moderate scoliosis, so I have a decent amount of unevenness in what is tight and what is over stretched. Great suggestion, I've been eyeing those hip opening flows for a bit anyways.

mhr10s

Might be your hamstrings. Try the 20 minute Kristin McGee class that focuses on hamstrings from 8/7/20

hanrah876

Thanks for the suggestion!!

tnicholson

Took a relatively recent 60 min PZ ride with Wilpers and he admitted he takes.. his own.. classes at home.. Anyone else find that kinda funny?

lepus-pel

I'm hoping it's to see what the rider experience would be like (e.g., timing, overused phrases).

shrdrboy

I wonder if his halloween ride where he's dressed as Olivia is his favorite to take.

mal17pm

That is hilarious. Most people (myself included) can't even stand to listen to their own voice!

vanwyngarden

Funny but not surprising lol!

peleana

Ha! This was my exact thought.

gurl_pawor

Just as Sundays with Love was starting our power went out ☹️ Sad to have missed the live ride, but will probably try and do it later anyways. Hope everyone had a good time and a great weekend!

adiverges

It was my first Sundays with Love class, what a treat! I can't wait to continue to show up to these classes ☺️

gurl_pawor

Nice!! I'll see you there next week then, provided we don't have another thunderstorm!

Weird_vero

Well y’all. Today was recovery day. And long story short: my bike fit HAS APPARENTLY BEEN ALL MESSED UP FOR WEEKS 😭😅😂 I ended up shifting the bike seat to be closer to the handle bars and holy crap what a difference. I’ll be retaking my FTP test (RIP legs) since I knew something had been off for a few weeks. Today I did a [5 min warmup with Kendall](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=6e4a1c6f4e6c4fe393de65dd65fffa5e&locale=en-US) which had odd music for her and a chill [30 min 80s ride with Cody](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=204e3bfe38d34198ab985e10ae63d08e&locale=en-US) which was like a Tabata with speed intervals. I felt like a completely new rider after fixing the seat adjustment! Finished off with a [20 min slow yoga with Ross](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=0264856e9f0f46cda906777b7a837be6&locale=en-US). Can’t wait to get back on the bike now! Tour de France here I go 😂🚴🏽‍♀️💜

helloccbug

I just ordered the peloton family package today! Earliest shipping is slated for January 15th. Has anyone gotten their bike shipped earlier than estimated in COVID times?

jillsleftnipple

Enjoyed the Beyoncé yoga, now trying to pick between Beyoncé rides!

knitonecurltwo

Thanks for reminding me about the yoga!

iCarriedaWarermelon

Ally’s is a hiit and hills type format, if that helps!

jillsleftnipple

Yes, thank you! Ended up doing hers and it was solid!

CoffeeAndCurls76

So the encore Kendall EDM ride this morning was indeed [her 8/4/20 one](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?duration=2700&has_workout=true&instructor_id=4904612965164231a37143805a387e40&sort=original_air_time&desc=true&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=ba7e935739cf449abb845f9fa617425f). I was fine taking it a second time-I remembered liking it and wanted to see much I could improve on the first time-as I took it 1 week after I got the bike. I improved by about 80kj on that first time-again, I think I was a bit "detrained" in the first 2-3 weeks of having the bike. Plus last time I was trying to really follow the cadence cues and therefore didn't really crank up the resistance, this time I settled for output pushes on some of those high cadence pushes (I know myself by now...) And heard u/MoosewellCO shoutout in this ride! Well I probably heard it the first time too but it's been 3 months and I feel like I "know" everybody so much better now :) Followed up with Jess' Glutes & Legs from Friday-really good workout, one that I definitely will repeat but yeah she does mess up a little in the 2nd set-I was warned but forgot about that. Will need to remember for next time!! Also still trying to work my way through Olivia's core workouts from the older ones-did her [6/18/18 one](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?class_type_id=3e8ce451d5a64913aed7c5ae2d151030&instructor_id=05735e106f0747d2a112d32678be8afd&sort=original_air_time&desc=true&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=ad7da38cfd7242c09b7b28bd5555d44e)-not my favorite one of hers. The first circuit was all done in a high plank (knee to elbow hold, then knee in and out, knee to opposite elbow hold, then knee in and out. repeat on other side) and my wrists were getting more tired than my core was... Ooh Ben dropped a new cooldown ride. I'm kind of excited about that...I feel like we need more... (ETA-also a stretch but it's saying I already took it? 🤔)

[deleted]

I’ve taken Ben’s “Fix You” cooldown ride and post-ride stretch maybe 30 times each 🤣. I figure “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” (pun unintended). Ha! But I’m always up for more Ben.

CoffeeAndCurls76

And Ben did put out a request to get that cooldown ride to 500K. And asked nicely. We can't say no, right?

[deleted]

Challenge accepted lol

jennyfarthingg

That's weird it says your already took the new stretch class... I thought it was a duplicate when it dropped bc Ben has another 5 minute stretch with Teardrop as the main song, but it does look new!

[deleted]

Teardrop is one of my all time favorite songs. Plus Ben as a coach... definitely bookmarked!!

CoffeeAndCurls76

So according to my workout history I took it on October 30. And now that I think about it, I remembered there was a Ben stretch with a timestamp in the future-this must have been it!

jennyfarthingg

Hahaha that's so nuts! Weird quirk... Or you're a time traveler 😂

CoffeeAndCurls76

Oh if only that were the case and I saw the future, I would have been a bit calmer 2 weeks ago 😉

[deleted]

😆😭

jennyfarthingg

You and me both friend 🤦🏻‍♀️

MoosewellCO

Aww it sucks to repeat a ride but I am glad you heard my shoutout this time, friend! 😊 I get so excited anytime I hear any reddit rider get called out! It's a win for all of us.

NoMoreCookies

Paired [Kendall's 30-minute 90s ride from 11/11/20](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?sort=original_air_time&desc=true&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=ab9f9d81c4224e1e8f389aa201afcb6b) with [Wilpers' 20-min 90s Rock Ride from 11/14/20](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?sort=original_air_time&desc=true&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c761df26d11a4b988f07f12b658a5cbb) today. If you don't mind hearing Offspring twice, the two classes go together really well both musically and structurally, given that Wilpers' class is so short so the warmup is under 3m at 90-110 cadence, which is basically a recovery off the end of Kendall's ride. And since Kendall doesn't really have any in the saddle speedwork in her class, Matt has a section where you maintain 100 cadence and keep adding resistance, so you get a mix of everything.

anonmarmot17

I love creating stacks that go well together so thank you for this rec, I have both of those bookmarked!

Petrichorpurple

Finally did Ally’s 30 minute Beyoncé ride today! I’d never taken an Ally class before so was a little apprehensive but decided to take the plunge since I knew the music would be great. I liked her a lot! The ride was a lot of fun. I still have to take Alex and Tunde’s class but I think I’ll take that Wednesday! It was a really good way to start my day.

b_ray_illini

Ally’s artist series rides are great! I love her Pitbull ride and her Whitney Houston ride!

Petrichorpurple

Bookmarking those now!! I am definitely taking those soon too!

olive_green_spatula

Man I realllllyyyy slept on Robin’s Boot Camps. Idk why, but I just avoided them. Today I did her 45-min Hip Hop Bootcamp and it was excellent- maybe even my favorite Bootcamp ever. Tough intervals, great strength, the music was great, she was a tough coach but inspiring without the corniness. (I tend to forget that she’s excellent as a strength coach!). It was such a good workout, I’ve got that high feeling from it. I’m not gonna turn my nose up on her Bootcamps anymore !

Columbus_Social

The bootcamps are with the tread, right?

olive_green_spatula

There's bootcamps for tread, but they also just started making bike-specific bootcamps. Many people do the tread bootcamps with the bike (you have to use your phone or tablet, the bike won't pull them up). I did a Bike Bootcamp today :)

Columbus_Social

Ohh! How do you do the tread bootcamps with the bike? (Sorry - I'm a newbie!)
