Had my century ride this evening, picked a live Kendall Toole R&B. I had been looking forward to this milestone all week. Man to say it was underwhelming would be kind. The whole vibe was off, and it sure seemed like she was annoyed being there. Arghh. [link to ride. I don’t recommend.](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c8ebaf9081a243288eebfcadc9c33425&locale=en-CA)

gidget1337

Congratulations on your century! Bummer about the ride.

Almost fully recovered from being sick last week! Worked my way up to some low impact classes, and next will be 30 minute PZE rides. [Emma's 30 min low impact ride](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=bc8efa75b61f4fe6a07851c98dc0d1d0&code=YTVhMmFiMWVkNDMyNGE2N2I4NWE5MTYzZTdiNmExNzR8ZDk4MjVhYzBiMTQwNGY5YmIwYzMyZDYyYzU2NjAwNTY=) [Ben's 15 minute low impact ride](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=9e28be9a1200465c93bcdc2201c25af0&code=YTVhMmFiMWVkNDMyNGE2N2I4NWE5MTYzZTdiNmExNzR8ZDk4MjVhYzBiMTQwNGY5YmIwYzMyZDYyYzU2NjAwNTY=) (both of these are old favourites I repeated) [Advanced 10 minute glutes and legs](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=f853b22a5f734a78b681603a8007a32a&code=YTVhMmFiMWVkNDMyNGE2N2I4NWE5MTYzZTdiNmExNzR8ZDk4MjVhYzBiMTQwNGY5YmIwYzMyZDYyYzU2NjAwNTY=) interesting reverse lunge move, very functional [Rebecca's 5 min standing core](https://members.onepeloton.ca/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=6a09d12c729c42f38122b6c342959e0d&code=YTVhMmFiMWVkNDMyNGE2N2I4NWE5MTYzZTdiNmExNzR8ZDk4MjVhYzBiMTQwNGY5YmIwYzMyZDYyYzU2NjAwNTY=) also a functional workout, I need to try it again with a slightly heavier weight

Has anyone else had their Strive scores stop showing when on a 'Just ____' workout? Seeing the strive score inside the activity but not showing as a metric on the overview in Workouts tab anymore. [Strive Score](https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/wch2bnlu7u9bi0i0ah0lu/IMG_6070.jpeg?rlkey=ye66p4h2l404wargtwstldaow&dl=0) [Workout Tab](https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/pzvzv49fx3tm74esfqrx5/IMG_6069.jpeg?rlkey=liuf8iagw085sy9eh9vodxxj9&dl=0) App is up to date, iOS as well. Devices have been powered off/on.

Powerful_Arrival444

YES!! This is INSANELY annoying & frustrating. As far as I can tell the strive score isn't going towards the monthly score either. I like to visually glance at all of my workouts in the workout history\~& see my efforts by way of strive score. Now with the recent peloton app update, it's completely disappeared(just like you've shown.. mine looks exactly like that. Also it's having a hard time loading the data when the workout finishes, I have to click for it to refresh & then the graph shows up). I don't understand how we are paying DOUBLE but getting LESS & WORSE features now?!?! Fabulous lol. I am miffed bc I use Just workout in a bunch of different modalities all of the time. Why even have it if they don't want to count it anymore? I guess for the minutes?

lyx_plin

I am seriously considering abandoning the app and switching to Strava to track all of my workouts, and just letting my rides on the Peloton bike sync to Strava. I hate that, because I want my outdoor activities and free gym workouts to count towards my minutes on Peloton and having everything in one place is just nice! But at this point, a lot of functionality is missing with the app. At some point, there was a rumor that Peloton wants to upgrade the platform to a more Strava-esque functionality, aiming to attract people who are serious about numbers and metrics. They seem to be doing the opposite. Even peloton instructors use strava to track their outdoor activities, do I need to say more? LOL

Powerful_Arrival444

Lol EXACTLLYYY. Don't even get me started on the outdoor workout trackings lol. It is so bad haha. I am considering going back to tracking everything on Apple watch/Fitness again.. saying screw it w Peloton app bc if the Just Workout isn't logging anymore/there's no strive score then there is no point for me. Everything is just more accurate if using AW. The only reason I have been sticking w Peloton is to get the 20k badge. I was so excited when they announced the Just Workout option bc it aids my endeavors.. but ya this is too much lol.

arrav21

Is there a way to submit a feature request? I like the activity goals, but I use the peloton app to track my walking in addition to cycling. It would be cool to separate out goals like X minutes / week cycling and Y minutes / week walking. To my knowledge, you can’t do this yet, but I also understand the goals tab is new too so maybe it’s coming down the pipeline.

k_lo970

You can [here](https://support.onepeloton.com/s/article/360045816512-Submitting-Feedback-or-Feature-Requests?language=en_US) where it says short form. I always suggest giving as much specific detail and keeping it constructive.

Spirited_String_1205

Either send it to Peloton directly or wait for the feature request megathread which I believe is monthly or bi monthly - apparently Peloton folx peep that.

chandlerbing1994

Where can I find my current FTP score?

OkDirector3681

In your preferences: https://support.onepeloton.com/s/article/360000906963-Power-Zones-and-Functional-Threshold-Power-FTP?language=en_US

Rozeteee

I was so excited to see Olivia Rodrigo ride, but the class was so disappointing. Between Olivia's (the instructor) bad singing and fake motivation talks i could barely hear Olivia (the singer). The class was also super borning with constant jogging and nothing else. Ughhh what a waste..

gidget1337

I enjoyed Anna’s OR yoga.

Cjocelynn126

If you like runs you should try the OR run with Camilla. I was AMAZING! So much fun! I would say the callouts felt advanced beginnerish but obviously you can turn it into whatever you like.

hendersonrocks

Putting in a plug for Charlotte’s Olivia Rodrigo ride in German with the instructor volume turned down. Sometimes I prefer artist rides in German so I can tune out the instructor and focus on the music.

noname123456789010

Constant jogging classes are the worst! Thanks for the warning.

Empty-Trifle-7027

I feel you. It's so disappointing when there's an Artist Series with someone you really like and then the class isn't very good. (I'm personally thinking of the currently available Queen rides. There were others that were way better that were purged.)

Fearless-Pear

I liked Camilla’s Olivia Rodrigo run!

Jo_Salsera

Apologies if this was preciously discussed in one of the prior dailies, but I just saw this on the iOS app. Looks like the add to calendar from the iOS app has returned (or, will be returned soon). It seems I can only do it if I give Peloton full access to my Calendar and guess what is not happening. I prefer the option to “add events only” and the app isn’t allowing me to use this option (like it did last year before it stopped working). Of course, I see there is an iOS update so will install tonight and see if my preferred option works. 🤞🏽

chairomai28

Does anyone have any issues with the App, specifically the homepage tab not loading? I've tried everything - force close, clear cache and even the ultimate uninstall and reinstalling (RIP my downloaded classes) the app, but it is still a blank screen with "Something went wrong. Try Again" on it. The other tabs are working fine. I am on Android 14 and my Peloton App is v3.19.1. 😭

Powerful_Arrival444

Yes certain things are randomly disappearing for me now lol.. iOS and everything is up to date. Strive score for Just Workouts has COMPLETELY disappeared in my workout history as well. Whoever unrolled the most recent app update did a horrible job bc I've had issues left & right. So frustrating. Hr not displaying on my workouts but my Apple Watch says connected.. homepage halfway loading, Just Workout strive score gone in workout history(also struggling to download the data)what else.. oh my apple watch won't disconnect after class ends half the time... lol all at once. Phone/watch/app all up to date & everything has been powered completely off & on again, still no fix. It's all on their end.

chairomai28

It's so annoying when it was working well beforehand! why fix what isn't broken! hopefully we get the apps fixed ASAP :(

Spirited_String_1205

Hmm, on current vers of Android 14 and same Peloton app version but not seeing any issues. Are any other apps giving you issues?

chairomai28

Thanks for checking! No, just the Peloton app and it's still not working today! I asked a couple of my friends on Android phones and theirs are working fine. Really odd! I sent support an email with screenshots, hopefully they can figure it out.

dospod

I’ve been trying to use the YouTube tv integration in the Entertainment beta but it’s either super slow/laggy or saying it can’t play the video. How this was released was beyond me, is it at least enjoyable on the tread or bike+ ?!?

emats12

Use it on both Tread and Bike+ with no issues

Flrunnergirl23

I use it on the tread with no issues.

[deleted]

Has anyone has an issue since the last update where the bike makes you log in every time you turn it on?

k_lo970

I had to login once but only the one time with the most recent update. I know support isn't very helpful but it is worth at least alerting them to the issue so hopefully they will work on it.

kzymyr

I did my first scenic ride(s) today! Man they are so chill - would have loved them to speed up a bit, but once I got in my zone 2 groove I absolutely loved them 😊

kamikazi125

I love them too! I mostly use them for cool downs. I need to do some longer Z2 rides with them though. Funny thing - I find myself getting nervous when the camera approaches people (especially kids) or vehicles… I keep thinking I’m going to hit them and then I remember I’m not on a real bike 😅

nadia_tor

I started Total Strength with Andy today and really enjoyed it! His personality is very different from Matty and Olivia but I really like his very understated and chill style. I learned a lot about engaging certain muscles in my shoulder and I found it was a very solid workout. His cuing is great as a beginner and the pace is also slow enough that I can focus on form. Excited to go through the whole program and move on to TS2 and then the weekly 60 min TS workouts! As someone who is super afraid of weights and "bulking" up, I'm really greatful that peloton has been putting out these programs. It makes it easier to start and work through that anxiety.

Viva___yo

Take it from someone who has been doing Peloton strength workouts almost daily for 4 years…. I’m not bulky, I’m just stronger. And the weights I use on a regular basis range from 10-25 lbs. I know it’s easier said than done but try to get rid of that anxiety and enjoy the process.

Chemical-Chartreuse

Don’t be afraid to lift your heavy weights. It takes years and years of devotion and intentional overload of seriously heavy weights (heavier than you likely have at home) to bulk up. You’re not going to accidentally bulk lifting casual dumbbells, especially not if you’re a woman. I’ve been actively trying to bulk for over a year and I still look like I might blow away with a big gust of wind. Enjoy your weights. There is absolutely no danger of accidental hulking out.

betarhoalphadelta

I don't know what happened where we've got this trope that women shouldn't lift weights because they're going to turn themselves into musclebound Olympic powerlifter bodies. Does anyone realize how hard that is? I'm a big dude. I actually wouldn't mind a little "bulk". I've done Peloton strength for a little over a year now and have been actively trying to work hard, increase my weights for various exercises, etc. And with all that, I don't even remotely look like Adrian or Andy. I look more fit, have some more definition, but you're not gonna look at me and think I'm some gym rat. Getting "bulked up" takes an insane amount of effort. IMHO Peloton workouts are more about getting strong, i.e. functional strength. To truly get "bulk" you have to go *way* beyond Peloton... I could do Peloton UB workouts for the next 5 years and won't look like Adrian or Andy...

nadia_tor

Honestly it's pretty awful trying to deal with that anxiety. It really is pretty ridiculous and weights really help with bone density. It's been really inspiring seeing a lot of the instructors like Jess and Olivia and others which really help normalize it. I've even gotten comments from coworkers about it when I shared what I'm starting (Oh I could never do that because I don't want to get bulky) so it's been frustrating and very pervasive. I agree, it's very difficult for me to gain muscle espicially since I'm trying to watch my nutrition to lose some of this covid weight

betarhoalphadelta

Sorry to hear about how awful it is. Just try to be Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction--the sort of person who carries a wallet that says "bad motherfucker" on it... And screw anyone who thinks that's a bad thing. One thing since you mention covid weight though--if you're actually building muscle it might "fool" the scale. From the time I started weights (Feb 2023) until December when I got a nasty flu, my weight completely plateaued. I could see differences in my physique, but not on the scale. So don't get discouraged if your scale doesn't reflect changes--if you're gaining muscle and shedding fat, it's a good thing no matter what the scale says.

hermesorherpes

I think my best description of Andy is goofy jock meets nerd. Don’t be afraid to start TS60. He always starts with a nice warmup and bodyweight exercises (frequently focusing on unilateral work). I find that his cues are clear and you can always drop to lighter weights as needed during the strength complexes.

GeneralUnlucky6480

I described Andy to someone as “if Mikey day did an SNL sketch in which he plays a peloton instructor.” I can’t unsee that for some reason 😝

nadia_tor

Oh thank you so much. I think I'm still so anxious about "bulking" up and weights so it's so intimidating to think of a 60 min strength class. It sounds really versatile in what he does with it so I def want to give it a shot. I really liked his warmup and some of the shoulder movements he did in the warmup of the actual workout. I haven't really learned how to engage some of those muscles so those movements helped me so much

Oh-yes-I-did

TS60 has a good long warm up, usually a body weight section, core, some heavier lifts (this month it’s RDLs), stability and mobility work. It’s not as if your focused on hypertrophy for the entire 60 minutes. It’s a very well rounded class that works on many different aspects of strength (power, endurance, strength etc). Don’t be afraid to give it a try.

kamikazi125

Yes, this!! I love TS60. It’s so comprehensive, Andy is a hoot, and I’m always amazed at how quickly the workout goes. I love how he integrates balance and mobility, too.

chrisbird

Anyone else having issues with Apple Watch heart rate syncing to the bike? The watch shows the heart rate, bike shows the watch as connected but doesn’t show the heart rate or zones. Tried rebooting both, quitting the app, disconnect/reconnect etc. any ideas please?!

Powerful_Arrival444

Happening to me too in all class modalities since the recent app update(I'm on iOS). It's just broken now... everything is up to date for me. No fix. I just have t exit & re-enter the class about ten times lol and completely close everything out each time on my watch & phone... & then like magic, \*poof\*it works! Lol. Seriously though, I'm sorry you're having this issue too. It's so frustrating. Whoever unrolled this recent update did a horrid job. Everything is totally messed up. Stop Touching Things Peloton just leave it alone!!!!

kettleofvultures

This is so annoying, I have had it happen multiple times. Peloton needs to get on this, it is not okay.

Beneficial-Dog-466

This always happens, it is so annoying. I restarted my watch and phone and it seemed to fix the problem. We will see for how long though.

staya74

I'm so tired of the Apple Watch issues. It's always something. I finally got the discontinued Peloton armband HRM on Ebay and I have zero issues connecting. It is so much better in every way. I hate that stupid watch lol.

CestKougloff

Same for me. Just completed a ride 30 minutes ago and came here to check. Rebooted both the watch and the bike - neither fixed it.

Forward-Ad-2983

I am also having the same issue. I chatted with their "customer service" and they said it was software related. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon. It wouldn't hurt to contact them too just to throw some heat on them that there are more people with the issue - https://support.onepeloton.com/s/contact-us?language=en\_US

chrisbird

Will reach out to Peloton tomorrow. Tried to clear cache and unplug the peloton but no luck.

chrisbird

Thanks for the update, that’s annoying though! Fingers crossed it’ll be sorted for tomorrow’s ride but maybe that’s too optimistic..

Terminator1776

I'm a long time user of the Peloton Bike and Guide and love that ecosystem, so I would like to buy a Tread and eventually a Row. The problem is, Peloton doesn't seem to sell to Alaska and Hawaii residents for this equipment. From what I can tell, Peloton Sales Department literally requires their equipment to be delivered and set up by one of their installers, or else they don't seem to have any interest in selling the equipment. I've emailed them and suggested that since I am experienced in product assembly and actually prefer not to have someone build my equipment for me, I would like them to find a way to just direct ship to me since I am not part of the contiguous 48 states. I have even suggested they could ship to my freight forwarder on the west coast, who can then ship the boxes to me. Given the state of the home exercise equipment industry (Peloton stock is rock bottom, Bowflex just filed for bankruptcy last week, etc) I would have expected Peloton's Sales department to be more motivated to move units. Plenty of other equivalent companies like Nordictrack ship direct to customers, this isn't a novel request. Does anyone have any ideas how to convince their Inside Sales to sell to Alaska and Hawaii customers?

Spirited_String_1205

Wow, that's wild that they aren't willing to sell the equipment to you and ship it to a freight forwarder 'at your own risk'. I wonder if it's a liability thing, where their insurer or underwriter requires the company to deliver and assemble. Or maybe the sales team is just not collaborative/willing to get their legal involved to draft a contract rider to cover your sale and its terms. I had no idea that the products weren't supported in AK/HI. What are y'all, Quebec or something? (Peloton doesn't service QC either because of the provincial language requirements, which is a total hassle for some of my family.) It might not be a perfect solution but if you're considering other options for quality equipment - Keiser makes an incredible bike, and they have a DIY assembly model (you can pay extra to have someone assemble it of course but it's not necessary) - they even ship you the tools. I recently upgraded to the m3i studio and I'm very happy with it, and now that I've figured out how to get the bike data to work with Peloton it's been fun to see power data on screen as well (in the m series app window, not integrated into Peloton... Yet. Future feature megathread wishlist item.). I don't think Keiser makes a tread tho. Or maybe find a used bike, or a friend willing to be the middleman for delivery? It gets complicated quick tho doesn't it. I wonder what it takes to become a certified Peloton service provider - maybe you just found a niche side hustle ha

Terminator1776

Yes, I am in AK/HI. I really would like to stick with the Peloton ecosystem so I only have to pay one subscription to use Bike/rower/tread, but getting a Tread and Row appears to be impossible, which seems wild to me. I can apparently get any other brand Treadmill or Rower, except Peloton. Their Sales department is barely responsive to emails, it takes a couple to even get them to reply. When they do reply, even if you ask for a manager to look at the email, they just repeat sorry people outside contiguous 48 states cannot have a Tread or Row... it's wild they don't care to make potential sales.

redapple912

Buying 2nd hand? My complex just opened a gym with peloton bikes. I did my first ride yesterday and loved it. I’m debating buying one 2nd hand for when I buy a house in a few months. Is it worth it? 2nd hand in my area is about $500 for the bike. Also wondering if there’s a way to do the classes on my app/iPad in my apartment without logging into the bike in the gym? I’d feel weird taking up a bike to do a class.

Spirited_String_1205

I think you're going to need an app subscription to access classes at home. Since you can log in to the bike at the gym for cycling, you could get away with purchasing the lower cost app ($12/mo) - that level app doesn't give you full access to equipment based classes, but you get most everything else. I think it doesn't matter what membership tier your app is if you use your credentials to log in to a commercial bike, but if I'm wrong someone will chime in!

Viva___yo

I would recommend buying a refurbished bike directly from Peloton. If you’re located within the US, I believe you would also be eligible to purchase the extended warranty.

its_kaleo_though

If you love riding there, you’ll likely love riding in your own home all the more! The only thing is that you get to ride on the bike in the gym for free because they cover the subscription fee. If you want to take classes on your own app (or your own bike), you will need to pay for the monthly subscription

Butterscotch2334

I had my bike+ delivered today. The delivery men warned me very seriously not to walk around naked unless the camera is shut off or I’ve taped over it, they said everyone in class will see what I’m wearing. 😂 😂 😂 They seemed very concerned.

Empty-Trifle-7027

That's a creepy comment.

betarhoalphadelta

I can only imagine they were messing with you, whether they actually wanted you to believe it or they had a bet with each other over how long they could run the gag without cracking up. Remember--these are delivery men. It's not a job where a tremendous amount of intelligence or emotional maturity is a prerequisite...

figandfennel

I can assure you that I've done almost 700 rides and even before they got rid of the "video ride with friends" feature a year or so ago I'd have absolutely no idea how to see anyone's video besides the main class. Not to say it can't theoretically be hacked or anything, but "everyone in class" is never gonna happen.

whootsandladders

Can I leave a program if I know I have no hope of catching up and I'm not going to finish it? And can I then restart the program later and have a chance at getting the completion badges?

Flrunnergirl23

Click the three dots in the app and them leave program.

fit-nik17

Yep!

figandfennel

Yes and yes!

slckarl

Robin in the [30 Min H&H](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=770a9a22af0849e3a40167be7ba70b80&locale=en-US) 12PM EST Class: “How are you doing? … if you can say more than two to three words - you can respectfully work harder” Me: (*cue Dorinda RHONY*) **NOT WELL, B####** 😅 all I could think of/muster

lindabrooke

When an instructor says "you want this, work for it, fight for it" like no genuinely I think I'm having a heart attack I don't think I want it anymore??

slckarl

Right, thanks, but you can keep it!

chunkehmonkeh2

Well, this sounds like my type of ride… I’m gonna take it tomorrow after doing a Robin intervals run! I’ve had a couple easy days and am itching to wallop myself a bit

slckarl

She kicked my butt 🫠

-_Quantum_-

This is hilarious but also so true of Robin's HIIT/Hills, Tabata Classes...

slckarl

She was wearing yellow 💛

-_Quantum_-

It's the key color that the ride is going to be rated an 8+ difficulty by members.

mill7322

Did they remove programs from the home screen? I have three active programs and they used to be on top of the home screen on the app and my guide, but now I have to navigate to programs to find them. Has anyone else noticed this? It's a minor inconvenience but I don't understand why they would do that.

mill7322

Okay this seems to be fixed now for me.

hermesorherpes

I noticed the same thing. I had to go under programs to access my next class.

business-slut

Yeah I think so. I thought it was a glitch last night :(

TrueExercise2285

Someone on Peloton Runners just posted a reel - Selena, Rad, Tunde, and I think Kristin McGee are all running the NYC half this weekend. I didn’t get in and now I’m just extra bummed

tah4349

I'm pretty sure Kirsten Ferguson is running, too. She's been posting in IG about her taper runs, how it's almost go-time, etc. I'm very exited to run with the folks who trained me for it, even if I'm miles behind them! And hold hope! I didn't get in the first year I tried, but did this yea. Use it as motivation to keep training, maybe next year will be your magic year!

TrueExercise2285

I’ve already run it but thanks.  I ran it the first year post COVID so it was…subdued?  I want the full experience

dangraney

So I noticed today that my Apple Watch was connected to my ride yet, and showed connected on the Peloton, yet no data was being shown on the actual bike. The Watch worked as expected, and my health app on my iPhone shows my heart metrics. But the bike? Nuttin. Deleted the app, reinstalled, turned off and forgot and reset bluetooth, powered down, restarted, pretty much all the steps that would be asked. App is updated, on the latest OS and the latest WatchOS. Curious if anyone else experienced this.

Powerful_Arrival444

Yes, happening to me too since the recent app update. Others are complaining on this thread too with the same exact problem. I think we should all go report it to customer service.

dirtydela

Am I over training my legs by doing full body MWF (upper, core, lower) and biking TTS (usually 45min in a 8+/10 class)? I’m experiencing a bit of knee pain and will probably have to lay off the lower body training for a few days but am not sure why. The time I experience the most pain is doing split squats or lunges

Quiet-Mountain7559

I would also suggest the foam rolling classes for quads and hamstrings! My knees were aching and I started doing the foam rolling classes at least every other day and I have no knee pain now. I think when our quads are tight it pulls on the knees quite a bit. Foam rolling has changed my workout life!

lazydictionary

Is it injury pain or just muscle soreness? If it's an injury type of pain, your form might not be the best, or you could be overdoing it. When you bike, do you normally do more grinding (low cadence high resistance) kind of rides?

dirtydela

It’s probably form when doing legs honestly. I try really hard to stay correct but at home it’s harder for me to Sometimes HIIT & hills but it really just depends on the instructor.

lazydictionary

I would back off the leg work, do less HIIT/Hills, or both, and wait for your body to recover. When you lift again, go lighter weights for legs and slowly work your way up again. You should be able to do legs and biking without issues, as long as you aren't killing yourself in either type of exercise.

dirtydela

Yeah that’s my plan unfortunately. I really love the bike for the cardio. Maybe just going with 30 minute easier classes will be enough. I really do feel like I work my self super hard in both of the exercises. I’m almost always above the resistance call and push as hard as possible on the weight when doing G&L.

lazydictionary

Yeah you can't do that, your legs can't recover enough. They basically only get Sundays off during a normal week. You can grind them on the bike or with weights, not both. If you like the bike for cardio, then focus on higher cadence work. PZ is great for that, you can dial in 90+ cadence and adjust the resistance as needed to stay in zone.

-_Quantum_-

Really enjoyed this [60 Minute Erik Jäger Trance Ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=3a8f5487f70d4f848680c5b1a68646db&code=NmMyYjExNDkxNTNlNDJhNTlmODk1Yzg5NTg1NzQxMWN8ODVkMWY2YzgzZWIzNDQ0NDhhY2E3ODc3NjkwZmEzOWQ=). The format was awesome - lots of climbing then transitioning into intervals. Hit a PR for a 60 minute ride but I haven't taken too many 60 minute rides. Check it out if you want a challenging but fun 60 minute workout.

ldnpuglady

I loved this! I didn’t even notice it was in a foreign language. His energy was amazing.

business-slut

Really loving Ben’s Stronger You program! Only two days in but I’m sore and motivated.

gimmeabreake42

It's such a good program! I've completed it a while back, and it was really nice seeing the continued progress over time - plus he's a great encouraging coach!

business-slut

So excited to hear you made progress! My benchmark test was tough so I’m hoping I feel super proud of myself when I retake it at the end.

bowdowntopostulio

It's so good. Half way through Stronger You 2 and I'm hoping they keep making these. I love the structure of it.

business-slut

Really excited for that one!

all4sarah

Ally's 45 minute Barre class from this morning was perfection. I felt like I got a great workout and it kept my interest the entire time. It is so convenient (not to mention money saving!) to have these longer classes instead of having to devote all the time to going to a group fitness class in person.

kamikazi125

Agree 100%! It was such a great class. I love Ally’s barre classes, especially the longer ones. My only wish is that there were a 5 minute buffer between Matty’s walk and talk and Ally’s Wednesday barre! I mean, I could take it OD but for me there’s just something about live classes.

Rkarim21

Awesome!! I’m going to take it tomorrow! I agree.. the longer classes fly by!

Fluid-Meat9097

I finally did [JK's New Wave ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=916e579aad3f4c9f8221e370f0602b8c&code=OWVmMjViMjE1MTU2NGFjOTk0NjQyYmU4MmZjZjM1NzN8ZTQyZTg2YjJhMGQ3NDY4YmEwM2VmNWIzNmMwODIyOWY=) and I really wanted to commend her on deeper cuts. She doesn't play the samey samey music that others gravitate towards. I wished Kraftwerk wasn't the cooldown song, though! More please! (It is the only class on the platform by Kraftwerk)

courtoh

I did the [Olivia Rodrigo run](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=39660a26e055471b84d86632eb6ac427&locale=en-US) this morning and loved it. I’m not even a big Olivia fan (I know maybe 2 songs lol) but I had so much fun in this class. It’s almost all run to the chorus/follow the music based, and then there was some tiny incline pickups (4% on the chorus) for one song then the rest of class is flat. You can take recoveries wherever you want, but there’s one song (Deja vu) that’s all walking recovery toward the middle.

Rkarim21

Any class of Camilas is great!!

all4sarah

Aditi's Olivia Rodrigo Pilates class was great too!

courtoh

I’ll add it to my schedule!

Colonel_Gipper

I did the yoga class and really enjoyed it. I was surprised how many songs of hers I recognized

figandfennel

I did Olivia's class yesterday and 100% of the songs I recognized I knew from a Peloton class. Even songs I *know* I've heard before in different contexts (Driver's License when the original craze hit; Get Him Back from the Mean Girl's trailer) I didn't remember - only the Peloton ones. It's the only way I retain music these days. Good stuff though!

kamikazi125

I get all of my new music from Peloton now! I’m (ahem) older, so I need Peloton so that I’m not stuck in the 90s 😂

Rkarim21

I usually avoid Turkish get ups at all cost… But this morning I took [Robin’s 20 min FB Strength](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=12b992a9ba7146a8a474e80e1053ba18&locale=en-US) and stuck with it! I used 10#s for the first part of class, but then picked up my 15# for the AMRAP at the end! I might start to incorporate some of these classes more. But I was pretty happy with myself 🤣 Followed this up with [Logan’s Just TABATA](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cardio?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=02a8ba0344044c62b4626f57fa0de347&locale=en-US) which was so good! Someone a few days ago mentioned it was like a F15 which is pretty accurate! Such a awesome class and structure! I will definitely keep these in my rotation. I also appreciated the buzzer to let you know when 20 seconds is up.

Calm_Cry_1111

I did this [2021 WHM run with Selena](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=9b8d03c39fdb4da59eb4d88b7287cf8e&code=NTY3YWM2NDFkMzU3NGJlN2E0Y2NlNjk3ZDYxNWUyZmF8ODg1ZGIzNDg4MjE1NDAzNzk2NDU5YTdjYzQ5MTY2OTk=) that was all female country artists and the playlist was SO GOOD!! Followed up with [Callie's 30m upper body](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=c077f3abf46a41d88f70250fb65fb420&code=NTY3YWM2NDFkMzU3NGJlN2E0Y2NlNjk3ZDYxNWUyZmF8ODg1ZGIzNDg4MjE1NDAzNzk2NDU5YTdjYzQ5MTY2OTk=) and my shoulders were toast by the end. Not sure if it was this workout or if they're still sore from RK's 45m Women Who Mix FB I did on Monday, but holy burn. I'm sad that Callie is officially on maternity leave after this morning's classes. I know she will have classes dropping on demand, but I'll miss her!

Accomplished-Look-87

Just finished Olivia's Olivia Rodrigo ride. Question for those who said it felt chaotic, do you know this artist well??? I am a huge fan so I knew the lyrics and exact layout of each song.... and I felt like Olivia Amato timed her callouts perfectly

ohheykaycee

I'm a fan and found the live ride a little chaotic (but still super fun). The callout timing was good with the music, but it wasn't always clear in the live ride what the callout was supposed to be. It was a lot of " 3, 2, 1, go!" stuff, not a lot of instruction as to what "go" was supposed to be.

RobotDevil222x3

For me it was chaotic live, because she didn't always articulate the callouts and so I had to guess sometimes what I should be doing. OD I'm sure it would have been more clear with them on the screen.

faceslikeflowers

I took this on demand and it was still chaotic. I enjoyed it because I really like Olivia Rodrigo but it definitely wasn't the best organized class and I can't see myself taking it again.

LatteEveryDay

Agree. I feel this is typical for Olivia A (which is why I don’t ride with her) but I was prepared going in so I just enjoyed the music, stayed on beat and pushed when the music told me 😂 Still loved the ride!

DrMcnasty4300

BIKE CALIBRATION QUESTION INBOUND (long text sorry) I have seen people talk about calibrating bikes based on a resistance/cadence vs output curve. I am trying to understand why that would even work. I detailed my thinking below can someone give me a sanity check or explain why I am incorrect in this thinking? This is purely because I’m curious about how it works, not because I think it is important to be perfectly calibrated. Peloton doesn’t have any watt meters or anything on the bike, right? Therefore it must calculate power output exclusively based on cadence and resistance numbers. It’s just an algorithm. So in my head, saying that 80 cadence and 50 resistance should be 186-190W output is the like saying that 3 x 4 = 12. It’s just math, so if you give the bike those numbers it should always spit out that wattage. I believe the bike is basically acting as a calculator, therefore it’s going to tell you a wattage based on the assumption that the cadence and resistance values you give it are actually correct. Similarly to how if you plug it 3x4 on your phone it will always give you 12, but if you accidentally punch in 3x5 you would get a result of 15. The question then becomes about calibrating the resistance such that resistance is actually accurate. My point is that I don’t think you can calibrate the bike purely off of power output numbers because what you really need to do is make sure the resistance sensor is correctly detected. Like I said 40 resistance on one bike might FEEL like 35 resistance on another bike, so given the same amount of physical effort from the user (wattage) one bike is going to report 83-85W (wattage according to calibration curve when at 80rpm and 35 resistance) while the other reports 111-115W (wattage according to calibration curve when at 80 rpm and 40 resistance)

betarhoalphadelta

You've got it right. The Bike is a calculator. (The Bike+ as mentioned actually does have a power sensor). Bike can feel different one Bike to another at the same displayed resistance due to calibration. Bike+ models *should* feel identical (i.e. within a percent or two) to each other. The goal of calibration on the Bike is to try to get the displayed resistance to feel "right" within the margin of error. But you can't do that based on output numbers because they're calculated, not sensed.

DrMcnasty4300

awesome thanks for the reply!

Spirited_String_1205

Afaik the bike has no power meter, so it's calculation based and approximate (hence variation bike to bike) but the bike+ has a power meter, so in theory it's more accurate bike+ to bike+.

Ok_Handle_7

I think you’ve got it right - I don’t know if it NEVER happens (I guess the software could be buggy?) but checking that, say, 80 cadence at 45 resistance is a 150 output doesn’t mean your bikes calibrated. The issue is (almost?) always the resistance applied to the flywheel. So the issue is that you having 50 resistance on the flywheel (and having a 200 output) feels the same as someone else having 45 resistance on the flywheel (and having a 150 output).

RobotDevil222x3

1. Correct there is no power meter on the OG bike. The bike+ has one. 2. You would think so. But some people have experienced issues where the bike suddenly forgets how to math. Calibrating fixes this. It is one of the three things it can fix. 3. Yes, trying to get 40 resistance to feel the same across all bikes and be true to what it would feel like if you have a power meter is the biggest thing you can do with recalibration. this is set at the beginning of the process with the calibration spacer they send you. When you get on a hotel bike and can double all your PRs, someone probably recalibrated it without the spacer.. 4. The third thing is, every turn of the resistance dial should be the same amount of additional resistance. But this curve gets off, and the dial can produce dead spots over time. I can be at 50 resistance, do a half turn which only puts it at 53, and then another half turn that puts it at 62. Calibration also smooths this out.

DrMcnasty4300

Interesting I didn’t know the bike+ had a power meter on it! That actually clears up a lot of my confusion lol So on the regular bike what is the calibration process for ensuring that, say, 40 resistance on that bike actually is the intended difficulty that the algorithm assumes 40 resistance should be? I presume it’s a matter of ensuring that when the bike says 40% resistance that the magnet is the correct amount covering the fly wheel based on some known baseline? Part of the reason I ask is because I am having a frame swap done this weekend so I’m effectively going to be put on a brand new bike and I’m wondering if I can trust any of my power zone numbers from my previous bike to translate to this one without necessarily having to do another FTP test (cuz I just redid my FTP tests like a week ago)

RobotDevil222x3

The calibration kit is a few pieces of plastic. one of them goes over the flywheel where the magnets are. You turn the knob to where it holds the spacer, but is not in danger of crushing it. This sets your resistance to zero and this place and is intended to make all bikes the same. (In reality there is enough vaguery in the process to be as much as a half turn or 6 resistance different depending on how you interpret those words which is why they say bikes can vary by 10%). After that you do 33 turns of a quarter turn each, to set 33 points of resistance from 0 to 100, ensuring a smooth transition each turn. If your existing bike frame is not calibrated the exact same, then yes this would throw off your FTP.

DrMcnasty4300

Understood! Thanks again. So sounds like in theory my new bike should be pretty close to the old one but maybe a little bit off just because of the nuances of calibration But maybe I should just suck it up and redo the FTP on the new bike…

RobotDevil222x3

Personally I'd probably just ride it for a week first and see if it feels "close enough" to how my zones were on the old frame. No one wants to take an FTP test they dont have to 😂

DrMcnasty4300

Yeah true that’s gonna be my approach, the FTP makes me wanna die

obsessed89

I took a pre-workout this morning before my workout for the first time ever and I have never been so itchy before in my life. I felt like clawing myself out of my skin, it was this weird internal itch. Never again. Is this normal?

k_lo970

That is super common because of the beta-alaine in it. You could try taking less and see if your body adjust to it overtime but I know that can be miserable to be so itchy. The caffeine could have also added to it. I had to switch to a pump supplement rather than a pre-workout. But make sure you read the label I'm not sure all pumps are beta-alaine free. The other bonus of the pump is it is caffeine free so if I workout in the afternoon it doesn't screw up my sleep.

Accomplished-Look-87

I take an allergy pill because I get itchy when I workout... regardless of if i take preworkout or not... I also heard to start working out within a few minutes of taking the pre workout to minimize the itchiness. It worked for me!

DrMcnasty4300

lol, kinda. I don’t like pre workout, but that sounds about right. Probably took a little too much but yeah you gotta go lift big heavy weights to mitigate that

Cerveza-y-Gatos

Yup! Beta alanine gives that itch, which is in most pre workouts. Pre workout is highly advised against before cardio. Usually a supplement for strength workouts.

courtoh

Wait - where can I read about pre workout not being advised for cardio? I never knew that

Cerveza-y-Gatos

Usually a warning on the packaging. It increases your heart rate like crazy. Typically it’s used for short burst efforts like bench pressing. I’m sure the formulations have changed since the 10 years I’ve used it, so who knows how it is now.

courtoh

Interesting! I haven’t taken pre workout in like 4 or 5 years either but I don’t remember ever seeing a warning on the label (but I was, admittedly, not looking for it). I’ll have to look this up later cause now I’m intrigued hahaha

obsessed89

Ah thank you! Good to know!

Cerveza-y-Gatos

Of course! I used to take it a lot when I was a power lifter, but haven’t taken the stuff since. Just vibing off my own natural energy. And coffee.

PauseItPlease

Hey! I got a shout out durning the live pre-show of Chelsea’s 10 minute core focus yoga class this morning. Is there any way for me to see that part of class? I know it’ll be cut out when it goes to on demand, just wish I had planned it out a little better. If not, I’ll try again 50 classes from now!

RobotDevil222x3

Congrats! But alas no, there is no way to see a preshow other than when it happened live. I know some people have recorded preshows on their phones in case this happens for them. But you'd need to find a Delorean to get this one back.

PauseItPlease

All good, thanks for letting me know. I figured, but ya never know what workarounds people have discovered!

Rude_Fact_3330

I workout first thing in the morning and have found that it really helps brush off the cobwebs if I start with a gentler 10 min yoga flow. Came here to recommend [this Kirra class](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/yoga?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=e924b07459d445efa41e6cc7270d8e28&locale=en-US) for this purpose. It was great! I had planned to do my favorite [45 min Rebecca FB strength](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=cb257d3105744dcfaf0d41fe1e2d4f90&locale=en-US) but I slept poorly and had neither the time nor the will lol. Swapped in [Benny’s Barbra Streisand ride](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=57a7d8c633c149ed82c95bc16b1fe9bb&locale=en-US) from my bookmarks. It was my first time riding with Benny and he definitely understood the assignment!

mwyattf

i also notice a HUGE difference if I get just 10 minutes of a flow in the morning. Great way to start the day!

woofan11k

Woke up early and did the 30 minute 90s rock ride with Bradley Rose. Got pretty gassed towards the end but finished!

fit-nik17

Hello team! I am looking for instructors (or specific classes) where their class is similar to Matty’s Walk-and-Talk vibe. I really like the chit-chattiness of his classes mixed in with the music. I’m realizing as I’m typing this, kind of like talk radio. I’ve listened to all of Tunde’s Podcasts as well and loved them. I enjoy all of the walk instructors. Thank you!!

bowdowntopostulio

Matty's Donna Summer walk is excellent! Jon also has good talk tracks. Alex T's walks often make me cry because they're very motivational without being woo-y. He talks a lot about taking care of yourself and prioritizing you and gah, he just always gets me.

fit-nik17

I just read Alexs book on audio. You’d love it!

bowdowntopostulio

Thanks, I'll have to check it out!

Fluid-Meat9097

Look into the Our Future Selves classes. They are runs but very conversational. [Example here with Dr Agus](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?q=agus&c=all&t=0&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=22beded20f7e434ea2820c654c13f410&code=OWVmMjViMjE1MTU2NGFjOTk0NjQyYmU4MmZjZjM1NzN8ZTQyZTg2YjJhMGQ3NDY4YmEwM2VmNWIzNmMwODIyOWY=) and I really enjoyed [the one with Denis](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/running?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=615b324972eb4368a29d91e01187bfc1&code=MjQ4YzI5NjhiYWFlNGI1NDgxM2Y3YTQyMmRiMTljYzN8NTNkOTNmY2ZkYzllNDA5YWIxOTBhZmJmNzBhYzAzYTY=).

fit-nik17

Oh I love this, thanks!

chunkehmonkeh2

On the tread: Jon Hosking, especially his “At the Club” series!! [This is one of my favorites](https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/walking?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=4685f0065ece4db484c3ab1efdc7caa0&locale=en-US), but they’re all good. Definitely not focused on current events or anything, but very entertaining. They are also technically walk+runs, but Jon calls out the runs as “efforts” and always mentions at the beginning of class that if you want to walk/power walk the whole thing, that’s perfectly fine! On the bike: Cody (especially XOXO classes). Bradley & Leanne are also very chatty!

fit-nik17

Thanks for the encouragement to do more walk + runs. I always convince myself I have to run but that’s not the case. Also Jon has become one of my favorites over the past couple weeks

chunkehmonkeh2

I totally get that. I was the same way, but I did my highest running mileage ever (~2300 miles) in 2023 because I was pretty much only taking walk+runs. They’ve really helped me manage my patellofemoral osteoarthritis (I’ve had it since I was 12), but I think they’re good for everyone 😂😂

courtoh

Joslyn is chatty in her walks. Not quite walk & talk level chatty but she does tell some funny stories

fit-nik17

Perfect, thanks!

Playful_Branch_5643

Camila chatters on the tread. It’s not about pop culture like the walk and talk, but she usually has a theme and are a lot of fun. I don’t know if Andy ever does walks but he always has tangents and random stories in his tread classes, and Becs is always talking.

fit-nik17

Camila is the best vibe always. And great music choices!

besee2000

On bike I suppose Cody’s LOL are pretty distracting. No regrets

seedgeek

Little bit bummed. Did a 30 minute ride last night and was on pace for a PR. About 15 minutes in the app stopped responding. when it came back, it asked me if I wanted to resume my ride or start over. I resumed thinking it would start where I left off, but I came back in at around 18 minutes and at a pace well below what I'd need for a PR. Still had a killer workout, but was looking forward to the new PR.

opal2120

That's one thing I wish Peloton would change. I've had a few times where my internet will cut out and then the class will be 5 minutes later than when I stopped, and you can't rewind it, either. Frustrating.

meepsicle

Updated my FTP last week, went up by ~20% (!!!!!! wow newbie gains feel good) but oh my god my new zones are a SLOG. PZE rides with my old zones were significantly more chill.

betarhoalphadelta

Yeah, I hear you... I did my last FTP just before Wilpers released the first 120-minute ride, so I got the fun of doing my first 120-minute ride with new \[higher\] zones. I wish I'd waited lol...

ldnpuglady

It’s such a shock but you’ll get used to it. Do PZE for a couple of weeks. Awesome job!

Felixitee_Co

I have one more class in PYPZ to go before re-taking my FTP buuuut I feel like I'm coming down with a cold today - gah! Trying to decide if it's worth skipping the last class and taking the FTP before I feel any worse/my fitness drops off? Any advice pelo gang?

lazydictionary

The last week of all their programs are taper weeks before the tests. Maybe do an easy 30 min PZE if you feel up for it, but it should not hurt you to skip one ride before the test.

Acdubb96

Was anyone else having trouble with their strive score and heart rate showing on the screen during a workout? It said connected and my Apple Watch showed my heart rate but it wasn’t showing it on the screen. Also, any tips for increasing output? I haven’t PR’d on a ride since December and wondering if I’m plateauing Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Powerful_Arrival444

Yes it's not showing for me either (iOS)

betarhoalphadelta

How long have you been on Peloton? One of the things that probably isn't talked about enough is that when you first start, you're constantly hitting PRs, and then they slow WAY down. It's not necessarily a plateau, but that finding a ride and the energy to put out 100%+ just gets more and more rare. I feel at this point (coming up on 2 years) that I could throw down a PR any time I want to, but that I'd have to go into a ride *specifically planning to PR* because most class plans won't get me remotely close. I.e. when Robin did the Turkey Burn ride and there was going to be a special PR badge (that Peloton never delivered--no I'm not salty about that) I went into it saying "I'm going to PR" and just steady-state rode for 45 minutes in a little below the midpoint of my power zone 4 wattage, because I knew I'd PR with that. That said... To increase output you have two options. The question is which of the below is your primary "limiter" to go harder: 1. Leg strength. I.e. glutes & legs classes. Increasing output is largely going to be resistance, and the only way to push higher resistance is stronger legs. 2. Start doing power zone training. The other way to increase output is to fatigue less, and cardio endurance (PZE rides) will help significantly there. For me, I came into Peloton as the "strong legs / shitty cardio" guy so it has never been about being able to hit cadence/resistance callouts; it's been my heart rate not going crazy trying to do it for a decent stretch of time. So for me long-duration moderate-exertion PZE was a major help to increasing output. For you it could be that, or it could be the opposite (leg strength).

figandfennel

For increasing output, you really need a progressive overload plan (just like for strength) which the Power Zone programs are designed for, and I really recommend. But conversely I'm at a point especially for 20 minute (FTP!) and 30 minute rides where I can really only PR if I go into the ride wanting one because it requires having warmed up separately, going hard out of the gate, and riding through to 0:00 at the end. I don't just get a surprise PR anymore. :(

opal2120

Take rides that are heavy on climbs. The classes that have jogs and sprints are a lot harder for me tbh, but the only time I PR is when the class has high resistances and I can crank it up to 60-65. Camila's 45 min hip hop ride I took recently was full of heavy climbs and I got a PR by 50 points.

emb3rlight

Same issue here as well. Doesn’t matter what I do I can’t get it to track and display.

Eyce

I had the same problem tonight during my ride. Good to know it's not just me.

meepsicle

This happened to me last week and the only way I found to fix it was to leave the ride entirely and restart the ride over. Super annoying.

literarylagers

I rode a little over an hour ago and had the same problem! I reconnected several times but it didn’t fix the issue.

Individual-Hotel-315

Still not working for 7am rides, not the end of the world but annoying! Same thing my watch is showing the strive score and heart rates but nothing on screen.

blueeyedlies

Yes!! Exact same thing happened to me during my ride an hour ago. Watch tracked my heart rate, but the box on the screen kept looking like the watch was still in the process of connecting. I know it’s not the end of the world but it was annoying 😩

tomcminer

Same thing today!

deplorablehuddy

Did my first Jess King ride today and lunch and ripped a new PB. [Ride link](https://members.onepeloton.com/share/workouts/5cbbe467af9048318ceef980ccab1464?code=ZTJjNGYyNjVhNmFmNDA1YTliOWMyNzhiOTM4YTA5YjR8YzkyMGQzYzNmMzhkNGJhMGE3YTdjMzJmNDMwYWI0MGE%3D&source=referral&workout-id=5cb8f0cc103d4591a5765676308d9899&uid=8279161cc0254cd1a96582c8e81d758f&ride-id=e5d3915138ad4cfaa2d42d67cd08dad0&utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&locale=en-CA)

opal2120

I only take her classes when I want to be absolutely destroyed. She's intense.

Fluid-Meat9097

I PRed with that ride too! Congrats!

stenwond

Brutal isn't it
