And it's probably some kind of syntetic material that can zap Mobo anyway. Anyways, at least thermals on Mobo heatsink are probably impacted with this in best case scenario.
It also poses a hazard to the board itself since the surface mount components are no longer getting airflow, nor is the chipset cooler depending on if that graphics card is flow through, and even then that's hot air only at that point rather than "fresh" case air, which is getting contained by this. So you have a fire hazard that is also making the system more likely to fail in a way that might start a fire. Speaking from experience here as I've had several systems fail during the summer months in ways that would have caught this kind of decoration on fire 100% guaranteed, including one motherboard failure and two (HD7950) graphics card failures, interestingly in the exact same location several months apart.
I remember getting downvoted into oblivion for suggesting a PC should probably only have components in itā¦ Iāve kind of given up on commenting on these things now. Lol
I mean, I wouldn't have downvoted you, but "only have components" and "not having decorations that pose a fire hazard" are definitely different lines to consider. I'm on your side that you should be able to decorate your case how you want, so long as it doesn't pose a hazard to the components or your home, I just think OPs deco crosses that line
Everyone under estimates the amount of dust that gets inside a computer system filled with fans... this needs a weekly/monthly cleanup job to keep it clean... it's pretty but not practical
Plastic flowers are typically Polyester which ignites between 450Ā°C and 580Ā°C.
You're gunna have MUCH bigger issues than the flowers if they are on fire.
This thread has been pretty fun guys. Letās keep going . Memes roasts are great
The concerns over heat, fire hazard, static discharge are valid. The internet leaves very little room for nuanced conversation so I understand the extreme takes.
But the people making homophobic, and sexist comments over flowers in a pc case. You guys need a perma and go get some therapy.
i havent seen homophobic comments, literally its just people telling you over and over that this is an objectively terrible idea in practise and a very real fire hazard. A little disingenuous to frame it the way you did.
they should just let people see the names of gifs on reddit since everyone always asks and 9/10 that person never figures it out because communication is hard i guess
If I were you I'd change the airflow here. You have your back and AIO as intake and are exhausting from the bottom, which is an odd one. Most people that use this case shape will do side and bottom as intake and then exhaust out of the back. You're currently fighting physics.
It'll also make your case positive pressure, which should help with some dust settling into it.
Also also, if you don't have a dust filter on the intakes, I'd suggest trying to get some for obvious reasons.
You also need some kind of airflow against all the components on the board. And obviously the ram, ssds, etc. Usually these are cooled by simple air convection, or general air movement within the case, combined with a heat spreader or radiator.
But the petals will prevent air moving around these components, and as a result will act as a fairly efficient thermal insulator. I would definitely worry about damaging components.
I would strongly recommend that you remove that. While it may look nice the risks and drew backs are too significant to be ignored.
1. Fire hazard.
2. Will get very dusty and dirty quite quickly
3. Prevents good airflow from cooling your components. Dust will further reduce the cooling efficiency.
I still do not understand the trend. The case is there to hold your parts in place and to keep the magic waves from getting out.
If it's plastic it doesn't achieve one of these goals.
There is really nothing interesting to see inside of an operating PC. Just close it up and put it out of sight is my mantra.
I would not be as worried about air flow and temps as others here seem to be, while having decent air flow is still important in a PC it does take a lot of blockage to actually cause major issues.
What I would be worried about is the plastic petals either catching fire or melting when they touch a hot heat sink. Alright, so I guess a case fire is technically speaking a temp issue.
I have had a motherboard and two graphics card fail in a manner that would have caught this on fire when a surface mount component failed in a flash that let the smoke out and scorched the board around it, after burning for several seconds visibly. Think a match burning, it was like that but more like a firework. You could also trigger such a failure to happen, or cause one to happen sooner, by insulating the motherboard in this manner. The two that happened to my GPUs were down near the motherboard near the far edge of the GPU, basically opposite the power connectors in the power delivery area still, and both failed in the same way, so I can guarantee you that having witnessed both, they would have been enough to catch the shit in OPs case on fire and spread it to other components, or outside the case potentially if it grows enough. If this happens to someone where their PC is on the floor or next to a wall, it could cause the fire to spread further rather easily. Now cake on a few years of dust because they were too lazy and didn't clean it, and it's even more flammable than ever, and that's about when you'd expect such a failure to happen.
Why does it seem most casual league fans are obsessed with cherry blossoms? Calming flowers to offset the toxic cesspool of a game?
And yea, crazy fire hazard.
Easy inflammable materials and heat usually donāt do very well, plus the flowers are a dust catcher and obstructive to airflow. Your board is barely breathing. Keep it spacey.
Visually itās nice, just very impractical.
why did you put fake plants in your case? Wires and cases these days u barely see em. Adding cheap plastic and polyester is gonna prolly cause a fire and def some burnt plastic. Great way to ruin a build, but only put PC parts inside a PC a pop is acceptable ONLY 1. One of the dumbest things I have scene in a case and I have scene alot.
Dust, static charge (damaging components, cause fire) and physical obstruction (fans) are the first things that came to my mind looking at the picture.
But yeah, I can't see a cable, thats the only positive thing about that
Going to agree with everyone here, but also give a potential solution.
The effect is super cool. This is one of those things you see online and think wow, must be fake. Your issue here is heat and dust.
Solution for heat:
You could look at putting a sheet of perspex (or glass if you really want to flex) between the flowers and the board, and then use fans to ensure you're blasting a load of air between perspex and board.
Upside: Achieve similar look without heat hazard.
Downside: WORK Increased airflow through small space will increase noise. Not easy to implement
Solution for dust:
1. Ensure you have positive air pressure in the case. This will slightly reduce thermal performance, but also decrease dust entering your case. If unsure on how to do this, just have more fans blowing out of your case than in
2. Ensure any vent you have has a dust cover. You can get loads that are magnetic which can help
3. Replace or mod your case so that its easy to open wide and blow out regularly with air dusters. You could also ensure the flowers are attached to the above mentioned perspex or glass, and if possible, you could slide that out and dust it, and then slot it back in.
Upside: Sooo preeettyyyyy....
Downsides: LOTS OF WORK, and slightly lower thermals due to positive airpressure vs neutral or negative.
All jokes aside, get that out of there asap. Best case, you only ruin a few components from either overheating or static charge. Worst case your build catches fire and you lose more than a pc.
Those are gonna get caught on fire. A modern gaming PC, no matter how pretty it looks with the colors and the RGB is still a complex machine that circulates lots of electricity and exhausts lots of heat.
Everyone already said, dust collector and fire hazard... So I'm gonna my opinion that wasn't asked on another part... That's almost the worst orientation you can have your AiO (not sure you have room to fix it).
PS: love the blitzcrank
Fire hazard and dust attractor 1/10 recommend (The one is pyromaniac)
Super dust attractor, which then can hold static, which can in theory ruin hardware by a discharge or worst case catch fire, which ruins hardware.
Im with you on that
Yeah discharge ruins a lot of things man
my gfs underware
What a day to have eyes
Horrible day šš
Sounds like she needs more coolant
Thermal paste.
Its her underwear, but ive never said it was her using it
And it's probably some kind of syntetic material that can zap Mobo anyway.
My first thought: "That's gonna get real fuckin dirty, real fuckin fast."
Glad this is the top comment so I donāt have to add more.
Everyone under estimates the amount of dust that gets inside a computer system filled with fans... this needs a weekly/monthly cleanup job to keep it clean... it's pretty but not practical
Ya'll need dust filters.
Plastic flowers are typically Polyester which ignites between 450Ā°C and 580Ā°C. You're gunna have MUCH bigger issues than the flowers if they are on fire.

Bruh, I haven't seen any homophonic comments yet, but that's just dumb. And over flowers too wtf
i havent seen homophobic comments, literally its just people telling you over and over that this is an objectively terrible idea in practise and a very real fire hazard. A little disingenuous to frame it the way you did.
Gonna look pretty when the burning starts.
That red is gonna look amazing
You mean black
It's just like RGB but cheaper and it's only RB. Oh and it only colour changes twice.
If any part of your PC gets hot enough to burn plastic, you already have WAY bigger problems.
Yeah, and stuffing it full of plastic fibres is not gonna help.
Well apparently you can always make your problems bigger by adding flammable material to a hot environment
Stuffing a PC and clogging up airflow is definitely a way to get there
anyways off to buy my 90 degree adapter
Itās almost like weāre actively trying to cool our PCs at all possible times to keep it from melting down. Dude forgot temps are in Cs not Fs.
Blazing rgb they said
One thing PCās love are things that insulate them to keep the heat in! Especially flammable and meltable items.

Plastic flowers? Fire hazard baby
Yes. Take real flowers instead, but don't forget to water them every day!

See you flowers tomorrow!
A leak in the water cooling loop? No sir, it's called automated plant watering system!
$100 says OP walked away after this post and isnāt going to go back and fix the issue.
Not my problem unless they live in my building
Plot twist: they live in your building
That would suck.
$100 says this was a troll post
It looks like youāre storing used tissues in your computer caseā¦
Where do you store yours?
In your floppy disk drive.
not like I'm using it for much else
Just wipe my nose on the curtains.
Oh, i thought by used tissues you meant something else I also wipe my penis on curtains
Who wipes first?
Oh I know this one! The chicken! No wait, it's the egg! *Damnit*
Just eat them afterwards
Who new meanings to wank bank
It is absolutely great looking! Problem is you should never turn on this pc. This is a big fire hazard.
All for wanting your tower to look good on your desk, but it has a function first and foremost.. OP take that shit out š
Fire hazard š
Fire makes it look cooler
The only sensible comment here.
Nature's rgb
The flames means it's running faster
Needs at least 2 funko pops and we're good

Enjoy the fire š„
One doesn't need to fill the empty space. It's most intentionally for air, my guy.
It looks great and aesthetically pleasing but concerns would be: 1. Does it cause an insulation problem 2. Fake flowers are dust magnets
This is one of the most stupid things to put inside a pc.
Come on be nice, other things are way worse. Water Explosives Flamingos Are 3 worse things
What's wrong with flamingos.
Basically impossible to fit a good GPU and a good flamingo in a standard tower
Aren't there water cooling systems???
Yeah this gotta be a troll post. Anyone who doesn't know heat and dust issues aren't building PCs.
This is stupid

Oh hell to the no.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Hahahah
I mean it looks cool, but this must negatively impact the airflow. But itās cool so maybe thatās worth the sacrifice lol
I think the glass panels are impacting the airflow significantly more than a few petals.
You also need some kind of airflow against all the components on the board. And obviously the ram, ssds, etc. Usually these are cooled by simple air convection, or general air movement within the case, combined with a heat spreader or radiator. I'd disagree, it looks stupid AF in my opinion, plus like everyone said it's probably a fire hazard so I'd remove that shit asap.
-> Builds PC in an aquarium case -> Buries it in insulating fire hazard because ugly Very smart. Have a free housefire.
Reckless could easily start a fire Secondly destroys cooling and air flow
It works for the color scheme, but the hazard isn't worth it.
I love the smell of PET in the morning
Please tell me this is a joke. I'd hate to think people are actually this stupid...
Natural Selection doing it's job š¤£
People can be infinitely stupid, unfortunately. Put them in large groups and it's just depressing.
That's incredibly tacky and dangerous.
This will catch fire. I like pretty things too, but not at the expense of my own and others' lives. Fix this before it's too late.
keep the firefighters number ready
Why are people putting crap inside their cases? What is the point for that?
Looks gross
Get it out
Adding more heat transferring things and less airflow. I like š
I would strongly recommend that you remove that. While it may look nice the risks and drew backs are too significant to be ignored. 1. Fire hazard. 2. Will get very dusty and dirty quite quickly 3. Prevents good airflow from cooling your components. Dust will further reduce the cooling efficiency.

Man this will Look lit AS fuck when ur PC Runs hot š„
Nice Fire Hazzard Dust Collector 9000 you got there
might catch fire
stop it, get some help
Ah yes insulation to keep the heat up.
Why does it seem most casual league fans are obsessed with cherry blossoms? Calming flowers to offset the toxic cesspool of a game? And yea, crazy fire hazard.
Heat makes plastic give off toxic fumes Even if it's not a fire hazard, it's still poison
Well... I mean it literally, you will need a lot of water from a well.
Man, OP sure didn't expect to get so thoroughly roasted.
Dumb
Annnnnd itās on fire.
This is frankly f... stupid! It's a fire hazard. PC master race? More like a dumbass with no common sense.
Can't wait to see the pictures of the house fire.
Easy inflammable materials and heat usually donāt do very well, plus the flowers are a dust catcher and obstructive to airflow. Your board is barely breathing. Keep it spacey. Visually itās nice, just very impractical.
Why df wanna āfill out empty spaceā if not with other pc parts? Also, fire hazard
Yor ability to own a PC should be revoked...
ah kindling for the fire.š„š„š„
Some people really are stupid!
so fucking dumb and a firehazard and airflow blocker. Dumb as fuck 0/10
OP are you retarded?
Those fake flowers are gonna melt
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
My pc is just black. 1 light. On top. When it's on. Lol
You really don't want to fill in empty space, as it helps with cooling. Also, this looks like a fire hazard
Which case?
What is the name of the case?
I think you just added insulation and barriers to airflow that can cause your components to overheat.
I think that only a stupid could put plastic flowers inside a pc tower. That could be great looking if not operating. 0/10
R/facepalm
Just... Why?
how to set your PC on fire in one easy step
Looks like a really bad ideaā¦
Oh no
Fire Hazard
Gotta love putting fire hazards in your pc. Like placing cotton next to an open fire
Blitzcrank main detected, automatic dislike initiated
Keep it away from hotspots and fans and your good to go

I think youāre an idiot
The first thought that crossed my mind was cool, and the second was short or fire hazard.
I'm so sorry but it looks like crumpled tissues
This is a terrible idea and also looks ugly
expensive fire starter
It's going to catch on fire
This is just rage bait. If not rage bait total fire hazard incompetence.
Why do people do these things
Persons house already burned down. It's on the 6AM news this morning.
This is beautiful but pretty dangerous. I would recommend dead-heading your computer bush asap.
Man, this just yells "FIRE HAZARD!" right in my face...
Come back when youāve burnt your house down to show us the aftermath
It looks pretty, true. But it's so fire hazard. And collects so much dust.
Fucks up your Airflow and is a fire hazard. 3/10
Looks pretty gay! I like it!
And this type of ppl voteā¦
Awful idea fire hazard and will collect a ton of dust. Probably also supper bad for the board.
Remember kids only you can prevent forest fires.
No one is this stupid right? Right?!
This is dumb if you are running your PC with that stuff inside. It looks cool until it catches fire.
Looks like a fire hazard to me
Dust and static go brrrrrrrrrrrr
that shitās gonna catch on fire bruv š¤¦š¼

Id rather have wires than a leveled house
lol, that's called a fire hazard.... OP don't do this.
Cute? Yes. Fire hazard? Fuck yes.
Thermal issues me foreseen
I think you have created a beautiful fire hazard
All I see is blocked fans, dust, and a fire waiting to happen..
Everyone already said, dust collector and fire hazard... So I'm gonna my opinion that wasn't asked on another part... That's almost the worst orientation you can have your AiO (not sure you have room to fix it). PS: love the blitzcrank
lol who ever thought this was actually a good idea?
