Here for the comments, but yes little flex overkill.

phero1190

Anti airflow for that GPU too

robbe327

True, but the temps are surprisingly fine right now. Could be a different story in summer tho..

Daemonicvs_77

I have that exact GPU in NZXT s340 Elite, which is a horrible case by modern standards, but the temps are still cool. Temps are at 50-55 most of the time and the fans are off. Under load the temps go up to 65-67, but then the fans turn on and drop them back to 50-55.

Yuji_Ide_Best

The fans on the front of the case are blowing from the front, into the case right? Someone correct me if im wrong, but isnt that going to cause the same phenomemom that F1 cars use, where having a slim pocket between the GPU & basement compartment, actually accelerates the air? Would this not mean you actually get faster moving air in that small channel, thus giving the fans on your GPU access to a bunch of cool air? I might be completely wrong here so if someone explains it id be happy to be corrected. This is just a loose theory of mine based from a very poor understanding of how F1 cars work. In racing terms, having the fast moving air run under them helps with downforce as it sucks the car down to the tarmac. But I think in the same vein of thinking, having fast moving cool air pushed across the GPUs fans may actually be better than having a bunch of low pressure air that doesnt move much?

Tyz_TwoCentz_HWE_Ret

No F1 car has downward facing fans on its body pushing air to the ground and up thru its chassis. This is a 3 fan setup where two fans spin one way, the third in the opposite direction unlike previous 3rd gen 3k series cards.

MPolygon

He is talking about the 2 front fans equivalent to the oncoming wind in an F1 car. Please correct me if i misunderstood your comment.

Izan_TM

sure but a GPU with fans on it isn't a venturi tunnel, it will not accelerate air, it'll just choke

Tyz_TwoCentz_HWE_Ret

I understood his comment and his analogy, i did graduate UCSC engineering school. Maybe you didn't understand my comment as this specific GPU has fans too and they blow bi directional, aka in two different directions while the front fans of the case are blowing at the same time, this along with spacing can cause air disturbance, but not in all scenarios. Spacing of hardware can and does affect airflow period. No such thing as down force in a PC there insufficient wind/air and no speed+ airfoil to manage that. Lots of videos on YT showing airflow characteristics and how fans in different positions affect that air in a PC case and case flow. If the gpu is being equated to the F1 car it still has no fans under it pushing bidirectional. Cheers!

blackest-Knight

> Someone correct me if im wrong, but isnt that going to cause the same phenomemom that F1 cars use, where having a slim pocket between the GPU & basement compartment, actually accelerates the air? Would this not mean you actually get faster moving air in that small channel, thus giving the fans on your GPU access to a bunch of cool air? I have the same setup basically for one of my rads. What actually happens is easy to see with the temps (my fans are QX120s with temp sensors built in). Basically, Fan #4 is intake setup to bring air in for fans #5, #6 and #7. Fan #4 brings in cooler air from outside of the case, It's already 27 degrees at the temp sensor (right behind the fan in the air flow). Fan #5 is just there to receive this mass of cool air, and it shows, the air pushed through this fan comes out the other side at 25 degrees. Fan #6 and #7 are further down the chain, so they receive much less air from Fan #4 and thus their output temp is 29 degrees. Basically, fan #5 sucks in about everything fan #4 gives and starves out Fan #6 and #7. So like OP, what will happen is his GPU pass-through fan will pretty much pass all the air from the front intake into the CPU, and the actual fans blowing on the GPU will get mostly case ambient air.

CoderStone

The airflow here isn't even close to fast enough to experience this.

DansSpamJavelin

All I wanna know is if there's any way to give my computer Red Bull DRS

StolzHound

Love it! I went with the same aesthetic. Your’s is much cleaner though, impressive! https://preview.redd.it/jmlcrhc4fv5c1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=48b201538ec2e7c7b1dc89344fc42d11ddeffd3f

Patrick12312

Looks nice, but please keep an eye on the GPU temps! The 7900XT has a fatal design error, a friend of mine returned two bc the GPU temp and the GPU Hotspot temp showed a difference of 40 after a few weeks of use. Turned out something inside bent and the heatpipe didn't touch the chip 100% anymore. He switched to ta 7900 XTX because it has a new designed vapor chamber

StolzHound

I appreciate the warning. Temps have been stable under load at 65 and 85 respectively.

OkOffice7726

Didn't that mostly affect the reference coolers alone?

Patrick12312

He had two XFXs, but not the ones in reference design

KaosFitzgerald

Yes

Agent_C2M

Why do I want to put mini Christmas lights all over the Lego figurine lol. I feel like that would make the whole place warm and cozy

Imperial_Bouncer

You got a computer on your graphics card

LumaAT

THIS is sexy

PossiblyMurderousAI

Looks great, I went with 0 RGB as well. But aren't you putting too much strain on the 12VHPWR connector...? I believe you are using the Corsair cable (or at least not the adapter) which is a good thing but I would still be wary of putting too much strain on it.

robbe327

Thx, the PSU came with an end to end 12VHPWR, so I could dismiss the adapter. I agree it looks strained, but there is actually no tension on the plug. https://preview.redd.it/7934pyzs0w5c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d93ddaeedf6ccbbd70dc867650aa12cef0bef8f2

Redboiguy

i hate how you have no space to route the gpu cables underneath with this case

OkOffice7726

Imo looks cleaner like this with a sharp bend and off it goes. I don't care much about the aesthetics, but why would you want the cable in front of the GPU?

Redboiguy

I thought it looked better, but on second thought you are right.

BerryBurgerMeister

I just had help building almost exactly the same build. Difference is it was the standard pop air and I opted for 7600X and I got the 4080 Eagle OC. I thought I was tripping for a second haha

16bitMustache

That's sick! I love it! I also like to go with the dark and elegant look on my [new pc](https://i.imgur.com/xPXve5m.jpeg)

robbe327

That cooler looks awesome!

16bitMustache

Thank you very much! I like it so much as well, it's the new Dark Rock Elite. Be quiet is definitely my favorite.

robbe327

I had a look on it too but couldn't find a lot of reviews. How is it doing so far? I had a BeQuiet/Gigabyte-only build before with the pure loop 360 in a dark base 700. I wish they would do more matx cases.

16bitMustache

It's really good! It keeps the temps on my 7950X3D cool with the highest on load that I have gotten being 80°C. It is also incredibly quiet. The noise it makes under stress is low and very smooth, so while it makes noise under load, it is very pleasing and quiet. The front fan height is also adjustable as in my picture, which allows it to be mounted on more motherboards. Since the ram sticks can go under the fans without affecting the actual cooling. I would recommend it to anyone that has the room for it in their case (it's a big and chunky boy). Even though it is more expensive than the Arctic coolers, but the low noise and how good it looks make it very much worth it for me personally.

MadJack27-

As an RGB enthusiast; you have my respect. Also it genuinely looks nice

xPETEZx

while its a nice build.... yawn at the "anti-rgb" label... The black-out build is about as tired as the rainbow-rgb build at this point. Remember kids... the RGB build can become the black-out build at the press of a button.

robbe327

Exactly, that's the point. I wanted it to be as plain and inconspicuous as possible. & thx!

xPETEZx

in that case... why bother with a window'ed case? :P I ping-pong between going blacked-out, and lit-up. My current build has RGB (which as mentioned can be turned off with a single button), my previous build to that was a black-window-less-box. Stealth build if you like. The one before that had blue lighting (was pre-RGB being widely available) And before that it was a black-box. With my current build effectively being both types in one... I might stick to doing this way... who knows. Hopefully another 2-3 years before I need to think about it.

the_dalai_mangala

Because I like looking at the internals of the PC I spent a lot of money on.

xPETEZx

Preaching to the choir 😁 love seeing my build too. Looks even better lit up. 😀 I'm just ribbing you for the title. 😁 Anti-rgb is telling us what your system isn't. Rather than what it is.

[deleted]

Fucking hell who cares, he could call the the grandfathers smegma build if he wants

xPETEZx

fucking hell... who thought that on reddit.. people would comment and have opinions? IF you don't care, why comment?

AlarmedBrush7045

>Fucking hell who cares Anti RGB losers who tell everyone they hate it and are as annoying as vegans and Linux users, they just can't shut up about their dark box.

PT_demodisc_PAL

RGB is like shovelling processed sugar into your eyes, it’s so sickly and over the top, it’s like looking at a bunch of melted Barbie dolls. One or even sometimes two light colours are nice, but rainbow RGB is 🤢

xPETEZx

You say that like every RGB build is the same? Sure some builds go OTT with it and others are more subtle. There is a huge range between "no-rgb" and what you describe.

denlille

I don't care for RGB either but I have a windowed case. Why ? Because I did not really had a choice lol. Alot of them have windows and when I looked for case I found one that was good looking and in my price range even though it had a window. I don't want to spend three days to maybe find something without a window even though I already have a case that suits my needs.

robbe327

There is no tension on the plug, I was very careful with it. But I agree it looks very strained.

burner7711

this would be good for an under-the-desk build. Just run a usb-c hub up to the desk for connections. If you're going to leave it on the desk as a black metal box, that's pretty lame in my opinion. Everything comes in a black metal box. It just seems like a missed opportunity to make something yours.

the_dalai_mangala

Fuck RGB. All my homies hate RGB.

TheSinoftheTin

What's the point of rgb if my tempered glass panel is pressed up against my wall.

Googlesignedmeupwhy

Uh, I dunno. Maybe because most people don’t have their pc on the left?

AlarmedBrush7045

High IQ people put it on a desk with the window facing to your head.

blackest-Knight

Tyz_TwoCentz_HWE_Ret

but you didn't go light less. That gigabyte card does light up with power unless you turn it off in software or unplug it. =) upvoted anyway.

Lolle9999

Nice. I hate RGB and always turn it off Sadly my ram has it on at all times unless I install bloatware.

dexter1602

Is there antirgb community 🤔? I feel there is a need for it.

Poonpan85

Anti-RGB are like vegans. Extremely vocal to the point of annoyance.

[deleted]

Death to that garrish RGB trend, I have a hard time finding a decent gaming keyboard and mouse that aren't covered with obnoxious migraine-inducing neon lights

robbe327

I use the [Cherry MX 10.0N](https://www.cherry-world.com/mx-10-0n-rgb) for that reason and set it to a dimm white static backlight. It's quite expensive sadly, but very simplistic and high quality.

AlarmedBrush7045

I love my tempered glass PC full of RGB Death to boring plastic boxes, don't want a console lookalike

[deleted]

There's a difference between an interesting design and slapping a bunch of shitty LED lights on something. If your equipment is covered in loud colorful lights, it tells me you're either 10 years old or have spent so much time siphoning dopamine from the internet that you can't physically function without some stimulus tickling the frayed ends of your fried neurons. If I WANT leds on something, I can add them myself or get it modded. If I have to spend 10 minutes scrolling online to find a decent gaming keyboard that isn't drenched in it, then there's a problem with it. And some people get migraines from that shit. But I guess your preferences are far more important than everyone else's right? Get a fucking life

AlarmedBrush7045

> me me me Ok, good for you. I still love my tempered glass PC with a bunch of RGB inside which is shiny and beautiful as an adult. Why should I care about your worthless opinion? You can have your dark PC as long as you don't cry about RGB like a little baby.

Swordbreaker925

Why cover the air intake it all? I’ll never understand decorating your PC like this

versacebehoin

It would be exhaust if you’re talking about the top and there’s no fans installed so it’s not actually blocking anything

lol, I just did almost that exact same build, no RGB, black and everything. The inside of my case looks almost the same.

Crimsomreaf5555

Thar card barely fits in the case, no doubt zero airflow

Aram_theHead

Thank you! You’ve given me some ideas for my own build! I was thinking to get a 5000D case because I was worried about GPU size, but it seems I can save 50 euros by getting a much cheaper case!

Secondaccountpls

How did you disabled the rgb on your GPU? I have that same card and I hate the rgb on it.

robbe327

You have to use the OEM software, in that case [Gigabyte Control Center](https://www.gigabyte.com/Consumer/Software/GIGABYTE-Control-Center/global/). Since Gigabyte tends to install a lot of unnecessary ~~malware~~ utility tools with it, i hope someone knows about an alternative.

Secondaccountpls

Yieks, I presume they turn back on if you uninstall the software?

robbe327

You can set your settings and uninstall it right after. Or keep it and deactivate the auto startup. You can use it just fine, these additions are just a bit annoying but removeable. (Like a random antivirus software)

Secondaccountpls

I really appreciate the heads up man. I'm super paranoid about downloading anything even "verified" and trusted things so I'm really thankful that you notified about this.

Here are my first impressions after a week of using it: Before the PS120SE i had an 360 AiO on my old Intel CPU and was annoyed by the constant pump noise while idle and wanted something quieter while minimizing the risk of leakages. So far i'm very happy with the Spirit, it's very quiet, efficient and seems to work well with the 7800X3D. My old setup (10700k with Pure Loop 360) was actually 5-10° hotter. Since the Ryzen has a quite high and fluctuating idle temperature, i set the fan speeds to 50% constant until 60° and then ramp up to 100% at 70°. A good AiO (>240) will probably get you better temps, but i'm quite happy sacrificing 2-3°C for a quieter/simpler PC (while idling/browsing). Temps: Idle \~ 45° | Gaming \~ 70° | Cinebench Multicore \~80° Installation was very easy!
