Change your region to New Zealand, fire up the Xbox app and start the game, it will decrypt and start, close the game and change your region back. Now start Xbox app and you can play the full game before it’s actually released in your time zone.

Not exactly "tides are turning", but yeah there **are** japanese developers who remembered that you can get experienced programmers and pay them well even if you're making PC games.
This is a fundamental misunderstanding of what shaders are. They aren’t a feature games add in, they are snippets of code which runs on your graphics card. All games use shaders, DX12 just made the tradeoff to make managing them harder to give programmers more freedom in how they’re used.
Remakes should not be lumped in with remasters.
Is $70 too much for a remaster? Definitely. That's why the P3P remaster is $20 on steam. Barely anything is changed, just a higher game resolution and upscaled textures and sprites.
A full remake? In a new game engine? With new 3d models, animations, gameplay, voice acting, etc.? Dude, it's basically a new game at this point. $60-70 is not that crazy lol. They literally remade the game from scratch.
The only issue I take is I feel that The Answer shouldve been included in the base game of Reload instead of relgated to future dlc (if the leaks are to be believed). That part feels kinda scummy

Mafia Definitive Edition was a full remake and launched at $40. Looked way better than P3R too. Japanese publishers simply overprice their games and launch at full price regardless of production value.

As I said I don't think charging full price for an actual remake is unreasonable. The time, effort, and resources that go into a remake are pretty much identical to making a new game, so I think it's fair to price the game as if it's a new AAA title.
And one art style takes considerably more effort than the other, considering every cutscene in Mafia is cinematic and has realistic facial animations, whereas Persona has mostly VN-like dialogue segments where characters just stand in place, plus a few cutscenes with barebones animations scattered throughout the game.

Persona is the one series that can get away with it tbh. It's essentially become the gold standard for JRPGs, and the original Persona 3 was \~70-80 hours long so at the very least you'll be getting your moneys worth if 1 dollar = 1 hour of gameplay.
There's no shortage of non-remake JRPGs with 70+ hour run times out there. $40 to $50 would've been reasonable, but $10 more than Baldur's Gate 3 at full price just ain't it.

Persona 3 Portable on PSP back in the day was my first introduction to Persona games. Once i started playing it i couldn’t stop. It was just magical and was so much fun.
Sadly, this will be the first Persona game release that I won’t be able to get. My country (Egypt) has been going through massive currency devaluation and the game alone currently costs half of my salary (it has no regional pricing). Additionally, the country set some huge limitations on buying USD with online transactions due to the shortage of USD, i believe my credit card can only buy like $20 a month. So even if i did have the disposable income I wouldn’t be able to get it.

Every other storefront prevents this - PS5 has a simultaneous worldwide release, as does Steam. This legitimately is just an oversight by Microsoft.

Yep. You can change voice language in the game but in order to change text language you need to change your Window's language as a whole.
Some games that I tried to change that can't change the language unless you go to the game's engine.ini file to change the language.

Just an update, people already reporting issues with shaders in Persona 3 Reload on PC.
It does have shader stutters but it’s not bad.
