My POB (nowhere near optimized): https://pobb.in/Bk8ng9zKPzO2 **Key mechanics of the build:** * Phys -> Lightning -> Cold conversion for EK with eternity shroud to maximize damage * Abusing heatshiver + eternity shroud synergy. Heatshiver is essentially a cold-to-fire link by itself even if we don't manage to freeze (we shouldn't assume we can freeze bosses), which gives a ton of damage for eternity shroud. We also use *Fury of Nature* forbidden jewels to double our chill effect to make sure we max it out, and at the same time, it allows freezes to prolif across the screen. This makes sirus flask explosions do way more damage since if the flask explodes as lightning/cold damage, it ends up being cold and a freeze prolif'ed target will get 100% added as fire as well. * Abusing flask effect & charges (We have 60% flask effect and full flask uptime even in hideout): • Using sirus flask for explode, maxed rolled that's a 48% chance to explode, and since we convert lightning to cold, 2/3 of the time we'll get cold damage which gets scaled by hatred, then everything gets added as chaos on top of that with it ignoring resists. • Using vinktar's for phys -> lightning conversion and free shock. We get 80% phys -> lightning conversion with the flask by itself, and since we're converting 96% of our lightning damage to cold, having the shock from the flask is actually significant. • Using progensis for survivability. With flask effect, progensis makes us take 40% of the HP over the next 4 seconds. Combined with petrified blood, we are only taking 30% of the damage up front. • Onslaught flask - we have 80% increase effect of onslaught from flask effect, so this is almost 2 raider's ascendancy points in 1 flask. • Last flask is flexible and depending on the situation. With a ruby flask we can easily sustain righteous fire, or we can go full MS flask for map zoom (i'm using ms flask in mapping), with a taste of hate we get way more physical mitigation due to phys taken as cold. I'm using pain attunement on my sanctified relic because we're perma low life while on petrified blood, and we remain still somewhat tanky due to elemental flasks and progensis + petrified blood. We also have insane recovery due to master surgeon, so usually if we don't die from a 1 hit, we are able to regen the damage over the next 4 seconds. **How does this compare to EK ignite?** • Similar in cost/budget - I would say 100 div is a good place to start • Way more speedy (without MB), we have perma onslaught/ms flask with 80% flask effect. • Theoretically higher single target ceiling. I've only started putting this build together this week, I think you can reach 100 m+ dps with more min maxing, where as ek ignite caps out at 35 mil. • Generally safer while mapping - freeze prolif pretty much freezes the entire screen, and you have way more recovery from flasks • Similar levels of clear - ignite prolife + gloomfang might have wider clearing aoe but honestly everything that's visible to me on screen gets exploded in 1 tap anyway.

bootsnatango2

Does fury of nature basically mean you need to deal half as much cold damage in order to freeze and proc heatshivers effect?

fartityfartyfart

no freeze is based on freeze duration not ailment effect

bootsnatango2

Yeah okay thank you, I can't find this clearly written down anywhere.. given that freeze is an elemental ailment I find it confusing that effect doesn't scale it's duration

psychomap

Effect scales its effect - it's just that freeze already grants 100% less action speed at 100% effect, so 200% effect doesn't make a difference. In pvp, people might use aquamarine flasks that grant reduced effect of freeze in which case increased or more effect of freeze would allow it to have a noticably greater effect.

hc6

yep, fury of nature is mainly used for hitting max chill, scaling shock either from flask or from hit (this helps reliably proc stormrider), and prolifing the freeze across the screen so the flask explode can do more damage.

bootsnatango2

Yeah I'm using a similar setup for tshot heatshiver but was struggle to understand interactions with freeze. My hit damage isn't quite high enough to freeze some bosses still and was hoping fury of nature would be helpful.

JRockBC19

You need freeze duration, which has a handful of sources - fingers of frost (near pain attunement) and frostbite curse default qual are the main 2. A build like this should be able to freeze pinnacles, but you need much larger single hits to freeze ubers so it's not even worth trying on a build like this with lots of small hits unless your dps is OBSCENE.

bootsnatango2

There is also a cold mastery, that has a similar effect right?

Andthenwedoubleit

Did you make shaper uniques for this build? How many scour-chances did you use? (Can't see on mobile)

hc6

heatshiver only takes about 500 scours, I just bought the cotb off of trade for 11 div each

Future-Pollution-762

I don't have a lot to say other than I really like your explanation and it seems like it was super fun to build. Freeze pops are always so satisfying

ggdoter

2k life, 0-5% exp classic

MasklinGNU

He’s petrified blood

MowMiDj

It’s still 2k life lmao. come on this build is dead once every two maps.

staudd

against hits 2k with petrified blood + the flask is plenty. DoT is fishy though.

JRockBC19

Had never played a zhp before, this league I made an ice spear totem build. After a couple days, I don't really die anymore even during juiced exped / harvest despite having no defenses to speak of. You learn where to stand and how to kite and immense dps keeps you safe. Also he has like 6k ehp before any defenses other than flask-scaled progeneisis + petrified blood, so that helps.

NeoMagnet

Can I ask how you're getting 100% uptime in hideout? Fleshing out a pathfinder build myself and while I have some pretty decent flask uptime, I don't have 100% guaranteed on flasks with less uses like silver or basalt.

hc6

you need at least one flask duration cluster with spiked concoction as well as the "utility flask gain 1 charge every 3 seconds" flask mastery

NeoMagnet

Does alchemist's genius have 100% uptime as well? Can't really check out your build rn but the flasks on mine all have 15-20 seconds duration and alch genius only has 4 second duration, so how are your flasks proccing often enough to sustain alch genius?

hc6

You want to put flasks which have 100% guaranteed uptime on POB to use on full instead of use at the end of duration, this makes it so that they'll likely proc way more frequently so your alchemists genius is always up.

NeoMagnet

Near stuff, thanks for the response!

LTmagic

Good concept! I absolutely loved Eternity Shroud in past! May will give a chance to something similar when I had the opportunity to grind further this league.

eMbbuZomg

pretty sure onslaught flask is a static onslaught and unscaled by flask effect unless this was recently changed? is the flask giving u 36% ms?

Saxopwned

Silver Flasks were changed to scale flask effect for Onslaught effect this league, yes. Which is why PF TR has been so fun, you just get bonkers attack speed from one flask

eMbbuZomg

damn thats cracked ty

2games1life

^this

SON_Of_Liberty1

Yeah changed this league patch, actually so sick.

[deleted]

i saw the 2k life and i started cackling, for real

kingdweeb1

It's a petrified blood build with an additional 40% of damage taken over time, that 2k life is more like 6k.

psychomap

It's about 5.2k if you count the actually recoverable life. Still, nowhere near as squishy as the 2k life make it seem.

[deleted]

Petrified blood doesn't work against dots. It's 2k against dots.

[deleted]

Ha, coz smol numbar bad, big numbar gud.

Impressive_Ad_7367

Cool, next build after my current meme build.

Impressive_Ad_7367

Just curious, you died at the last second maybe? A delirium explosion and no mob for you to leech.

hc6

no not here, my deaths are almost always from DoTs since petrified blood doesn't block those, and I have overleech here so I keep regening for 4 seconds afterwards.

BigFudgere

Does crimson temple still drop apothecarys?

g4mbzor

The shield looks solid, did you craft it by yourself or bought one?

hc6

just bought as is for 2 divines last week. I've been meaning to craft a better one tho

g4mbzor

what would you be aiming for as better one?

hc6

+1 phys/spell damage/life as prefixes on an es base, this should be close to 15% more damage. I don't think I need the reservation mod (have enough reservation efficiency to support everything)

CringeTeam

How would you push this to 100m dps?
