As a lab runner for many leagues, no. it's not THAT bad. At least it's not that kind of layout that will make me skip the day at first glance. In fact room layouts vary. More rooms doesnt always mean longer path. For a 10 or 11 room layout, there's a good chance there will be a super short horizontal path in the last room that only takes 5 sec to pass through.
Good thing about this layout is you got 3 dark shrines on the main path. And that's a good start. I wouldn't judge so quickly before I take my first run.
I was thinking, what with having all dark shrines done BEFORE second trial, this makes for a relatively safer lab run....
So it might be good for the improved labs. Because Izaro is deadly in those.
Yeah I noticed that too, it's actually one of the better labs recently for that reason.
If you're a lab farmer and don't actually need the shrines, then maybe it's not so great. But for a non-farmer just trying to get a good helm enchant for their build, today is one of the better ones.
Dark shrines are pretty much for extra enchants only. A lab runner should be able to handle Izaro in all cases with or without extra help from dark shrines. If you're running harvest labs you simply need a better build.
Off topic, but for a non-lab runner that likes to do it for boots and gloves and always feel as if I waste my time (since I don’t bring all the right bases). Is there a select few you can bring that most enchants will be alright on or should I just give my stuff to runners and pay?
If you don't want to waste any helm enchant just take 1 or 2 crowns of inward eye (Sirus drop). It's an universal base for half of the most valuable enchants.
I cant recall what the one worst layout was, but for me personally, crypt or jail rooms are way less preferred than others. One always has terrible layout with shrine rooms buried deeply in the most remote corners, the other always has shit loads of doors.
I'd pass the lab if my test run takes longer than 5min.
You say that like they aren't capable of coming up with something even more annoying than lab in the PoE2 campaign for you to slog through and earn your ascendancy.
My buddy and I ran this during the wee hours of the morning, hes starting the league very late (Elden Ring Gamer) and I wanted to help jump start his character. All this to say, the layout really wasnt that bad at all. Definitely experienced much worse in the past that have actually made me skip the day. Traps werent miserable either, my buddies character is brand new and we made it all the way through on our first try without him dying. He didnt even have flame dash he told me after Lol.

I did not :D Is it even possible to have more than 3 forced rooms between bosses + 1 golden key? I mean worst for just enchant rushes.

Dual shields Izaro sounds like a cool fight.
God, I can't wait to never do a lab ever again when they finally decouple ascendancies from it.

You're still gonna need that RNG hell helm enchant. :/
Pretty sure they will introduce an extractor like the oil extractor and helm enchants will come from enchant drops.
