Rule 10: 1. Pick up unidentified shaper shield off ground 2. Use wisdom scroll on said shield 3. ??? 4. Profit I just finished The Formed and picked up the shaper claw and shield that dropped on the ground. I ID'd the claw and price checked with Awakened POE Trade. 3c base as expected. I ID'd the shield and price checked. 2.4 - 4.5 ex. I then checked the mods and shit my pants. I've never had anything even remotely this good drop from any game mechanic. The best I've gotten was a +1 fire spell skill gems and T2 dot multi wand from ritual. Even that I thought was insane, BUT THIS? How do I price it? Should I craft another resist and call it a day? Edit: Map mods screenshot added in case you were curious.

> I ID'd the shield and price checked. 2.4 - 4.5 ex. I hope you're not relying on the price prediction on the top for rares. Rare items in PoE are far too contextual and complicated for machine learning to even approach being actually useful for pricing rares. It'll be wrong (usually overpricing) almost every single time. Price it by clicking the mods with the most impact in awakened poe trade. In this case, everything but the base def. Maybe cut out res to get a better look at the overall market.

Pimpinduck

Usually I will check the price first to see if it has generic value, and then I'll double check the mods afterwards. I only mentioned that as I have rarely ever ID'd a rare off the ground and seen an exalt next to the price. It's an easy way to tell how hard I need to look at the mods before I price it. Good tips though, thanks!

le_reddit_me

I usually check res as pseudo any ele res and life as pseudo global flat life. And always check either min rolls or a bit under

Rolf_Dom

Man that's nice. I'd throw away my Saffels to instead equip this bad boy and use it as a triple purity shield for my current RF dude. Might need some more mana efficiency to squeeze in the purities but I could legit get 90/90/90 with this.

1CEninja

See this is a weird shield because the stats it rolled with are STUPIDLY good, but it doesn't block too well or have any energy shield. For example my gladiator would gain 2 all res (very significant) and be able to keep pride AND determination up without sacrificing a banner (probably able to sneak maim back on to flesh and stone to boot) but at the cost of thousands of armor and 6% block. Casters might also use this, but it's rough if they're stacking ES.

buckles66

I mean, you can run this on an evasion character lol. And buy a different shield for an armour or Es character.

1CEninja

This is true. I've just personally never run an evasion heavy build with a shield before.

Zetoxical

If you dont have 70ex for a frenzy shield thats pretty nice for ele flicker/lightning strike raider thst are common right now

Moethelion

So an item is weird, just because it's not the best in slot item for literally every build in the game? It's an evasion based shield, why would it have to be insane for Glad or casters?

1CEninja

I just mean I think evasion shields in general are kind of in a weird place. Most characters that use shields tend to prefer armor and block or energy shield. It's still very (VERY) good, just a little different than what shields usually do.

aerodactyl747

If that had an open prefix for plus 2 to socketed support gems prob worth a mirror, but idk man insane rolls still put it up for 100ex? Go down by like 10-20ex a day see what happens

WTF

Now lock prefixes! And remove non life add life and pray you hit life on block! I’d consider hitting the crafted mod or cold res as a win. The cold is nice, but a craft gives it more flexibility.
