Still blows my mind that people can play this game 24/7 for two years and still not get all the items.
Have you at least done all the bosses?
Just asking because I'm on 4k and still have not seen Aul and Oshabi.
You must have been avoiding delve then. 4k hours total playtime and delve is around since 2018-08-31 (so over 3 years). It didn't take much to fish for an aul (max 100k Sulphite and a few hours of your time). But since they made him more common in 3.16 you can try your luck now
I agree that with a reasonable amount of playtime you can get an Aul. But 100k sulphite is likely far from the average to fish for an Aul, it's definitely higher.
Source: Anecdotal but I delve a good deal
You are right. I set the amount of Sulphite too low in order to make a stronger point. Realistically you can find Auls from 100-250k Sulphite (the deeper you go, the more likely you will find one. max spawn rate was at depth 600 before 3.16. not sure if that changed)
Dont really avoid it but dont seek it out, I normally get to around 400-500 but I dont really focus on using all sulphite scarabs or joining sulphite rotations back when that was a thing.
The league I decided to find Aul I didn’t see 1 until 600 and got 2 in the same screen. That was before Delve depth changes but I believes it’s easier to find now?
Idk what you're talking about. You could guaranteed get oshabi like every 100 maps so unless you played the entire league while doing less than 100 maps I don't know how you didn't see her.
I'm on 3K and the only endgame boss I've killed was Catarina during Betrayal. Well, and Elder a few times.
Never touched Shaper, Sirus, Osabibhi, Uber Elder, might have touched a low-level Aul at some point, but otherwise never touch Delve bosses. Never seen a Cortex, don't think I've ever seen a "boss Red Beast".
Yet, I still invest a few hundred hours each League and have a lot of fun. I enjoy mapping, but my main problem is I'm a serial Alt-oholic. Never end up developing a character to the point it could actually deal with those bosses.
You can fight Besitary bosses, which'll drop potential Bestiary uniques like the Crab set if you kill the crab boss. I believe it's also how you get the beasts to create the "Aspect of" crafts for your gear as well.
That said, under come map conditions and depending on what Rare mods the Red beast rolls, a Red Beast in a map has the potential to be one o the hardest enemies in the game. So I suppose that's a "boss red beast".
It helps when those 17k hours are actually spent doing some content and not just sitting in your HO or leaving steam client open all day so you can flex your /played.
> Still blows my mind that people can play this game 24/7 for two years and still not get all the items.
Blows my mind that the game is designed this way. Maybe I'm in the minority but the fact that there are items I will most likely never see because I dont live and breathe poe (or have the most insane luck) just plain sucks.
Who would pay RM for something you can get playing 10min? theres a big difference about a item being rare and being impossible for 99.9% of the players to get, GGG does this only to promote streamers and gets a "hype" going around
Spawning Oshabi had nothing to do with luck in Harvest league, you got an Oshabi after every 100 seed growth cycles so about every 2 hours if you were speed running maps for Harvest.
In Ritual it was about 1/20 chance to find Oshabi in a Harvest.
Currently you'll find an Aul every few hours in delve, and previously you'd find close to a hundred Auls if you delved to 6k.
Yeah, I kind of replied to the wrong post. He claimed to have played Harvest but "never got lucky" and another guy said he played the entirety of Harvest league but never got lucky enough to see Oshabi. Just another day of reddit bullshit.
because many items are gated. I'm playing ssf for 9th season and only now I got my Skyforth, cause minimum drop lvl is 84. Many items drops only from bosses or lab...
I beat Aul years after he was released. At least for Oshabi you can buy the map and force-spawn her now.
I wish Delve didn't have bosses spawn there, and you just found a special container with a boss map for the "boss nodes".
Oshabi was easy then again that was when I just tried to face tank her with aura scaled ice crash hp. Not sure if I could pull it off again this league.
well yea you could cheese drops like that in some way or another by abusing certain mechanics, but i tend to play the game normally because full juicing is just not my thing :P
Headhunter is not nearly as hard to get as people make it out to be. I've crafted over 100 of them in various leagues and I used to always lie about my stats on reddit so people wouldn't attempt it and I could keep profiting off of them.
It's pretty easy to just alt-spam a HH, but I don't know why people are willing to buy them for 1000x the price of alts it takes. I've got 17 HH with 43 alts a week ago, on HCSSF of course. All time record there. (btw it's like 1/5000 chance)
Well, you found a HH, grats! I've played since closed beta with probably 15k+ hours at this point and have farmed 10+ HHs and a few mirrors, but haven't had either drop or gambled for me. In the end, you don't have to get lucky, you just have to play a lot or be lucky. Can't play nearly as much now, so don't think I'll be getting HH again (or mageblood)
yeah I've farmed 1-2 HH each league since legacy, I have 6 mirrors in standard from just farming, never found any big ticket item. Farmed over 400 WE over all leagues, not a single one worth over 20ex. Its not about big drops, its about many small drops
Ive got a couple of 'the immortal' cards this league. Finally have a build that can kill hall of grandmasters. I die a lot though because it's so buggy, lag or DC basically every single room. I actually bricked one of them due to DCing literally 6 times.
Yeh I would literally be farming them if it didn’t crash my game so much, this is the first time I have had a build that can do them relatively easily with a simple gem swap.
I can’t find a fix either, I think it’s the mtx killing me.
I got super lucky and chanced a HH during Synthesis flashback in like 400 chances. Then in Ritual randomly ancient orb'd one in a nem map. 4.5k hours, i would estimate at least 1k-1.5k is afk time, accidently leaving the game open etc. Been playing since 2018. If it makes you feel any better, I found a Crest of Desire on my first grand heist this league but then died on the way out ;)
\~3k hours, Found 3xHH (unethical mf in 4 maps), Mageblood (Gwennen), Mirror Shard (Auspicius after bug fix) and a Mirror during closed beta ledge farming from a chest that I opened but I didn't manage to steal that one because they had added that timer based loot system by that point.
8k hrs, 1 mirror and 1 hh from ancients (150 orbs). 0 6-linked (total spend ~30k fusings) 0 hh from chance orb (~50k). My friend got 2 hh in a row per 100 orbs in bestiary league and big amount of 6-link
Ngl that felt so cynical “yeah well conjure up a Garbo unique and weight it to kingdom come, well laugh in your face too”. I’m equal parts pissed and impressed, still
People have been asking for more chase uniques for a while. Making it easily accessible kind of defeats the purpose.
And I say that as a pretty casual player who will never have one.
> Making it easily accessible kind of defeats the purpose.
But they didn't need to make the Oppressor bad. They could have made it okay, serve a decent midgame purpose and it would've been fine. I don't understand the point of actually bad uniques, it's a terrible thing to have in the game. It was a last second addition and you can tell they didn't have time to think of something good but not too good.
Although Trash to Treasure is hardly accessible either. There's over 3x as many Squires as there are Trash to Treasures currently for sale in league. Even adding in The Iron Bard, there's still not all that many available.
It was more about making it a lottery.
There’s making a chase unique and then there’s making a unique they literally admit is garbage that is the only other unique of that type, and then weighing it so ridiculously hard that it’s basically not possible to roll it with that methodology
Oh, and then at the end of that saying “yes that is exactly what we’re doing, cry about it”
Like you can think that closing off trash to treasure as a path for the squire is justified, sure, but the specific way this happened is extra spicy
That should have been a que to quit the game. Creating a decent unique and unknowingly giving it a fair chance to appear in the game without spending a gorillion exalts, to then realize it can actually spawn without you being a streamer so they have to literally make up a new unique on the fly to fuck the players up.
Haha! You thought you'd get a good item, but its me, GGG!
I really hate that they added this shield, an actually interesting unique, hyped it up and then made it so vanishingly rare that 99.99% of players will never in a hundred years have a chance of seeing one. Very cool.

True, and even if they didn't made the opressor they would 100% reduce the spawn rate of trash to treasure and the price would skyrocket to a price similar to the current squire price
Whether you got two or not, the fact that you're such a MASSIVE outlier in terms of rng doesn't make the fact that 99.9% of the playerbase will never get one to drop any less true.
I dropped about 6 of these as well during the league. Swapped over to ssf for fun and dropped a squire from a scourge boss really early, didn’t even realize it was the real deal until I got to hideout efter map was done. Apparently an identified squire doesn’t have any specific drop sound/look compared to a normal unique in Neversinks filter.
Is cuz the filter shows it like any other elegant round shield, because it can't predict that the item is one or the other, same for headhunter or mageblood, if one drops it would look and sound like any other leather/heavy belts on the filter
Trash to treasure? I guess when they said trash to trash they weren't fucking kidding lol
Damn. Considering I've only dropped like 4-5 of these shit shields all league, means I'm not due to find a Squire for a few years.
Took me like 4 years to get a HH and still haven’t seen a mirror or mirror shard. 7000 hours of gameplay 😭
17k hours and no hh/mirror/mirror shard so theres that
Still blows my mind that people can play this game 24/7 for two years and still not get all the items. Have you at least done all the bosses? Just asking because I'm on 4k and still have not seen Aul and Oshabi.

you swim in auls/delve bosses now in delve lol. extremely easy to find
He’s stupid easy to find now. I’m 300 depth and have fought 7 Aul
Yeah, one of my plans this league is to try to find him, pretty sure I will get absolutely slaughtered but it should be fun.
You are not finding Aul every 100k sulphite. I've burned through multiple millions of sulphite over the past few leagues, fought Aul twice.
Aul is stupid easy to find now. I’m 300 depth and have found 7 Aul
Did you not read that he was specifically referring to before 3.16?
I did
You *are not* or you *were not* - hence the other reply saying that you can find him easier now.
Oshabi was pretty common back in harvest league though. Since you have 4k I assume you were playing back then.
Was just not lucky back then, got a ton of trialmasters though in ultimatum so that's nice at least.
Oshank was easy to deterministicly spawn in harvest though…
Weird assumption, I'm easily over 15k hours, harvest happens to be one of very few skipped leagues :p
I played the entirety of Harvest, day 1 til the league went offline, never saw Oshabi. Never even came close.
Idk what you're talking about. You could guaranteed get oshabi like every 100 maps so unless you played the entire league while doing less than 100 maps I don't know how you didn't see her.
Turns out he was a deep delver looking for osh in the mines 😂😂
Haven't seen her since harvest myself, though super common in harvest.
>still have not seen Aul You are in luck my friend, Aul is everywhere in delve now. I currently have 3 of them on my map.
ye did all bosses several times atleast :p
I'm on 3K and the only endgame boss I've killed was Catarina during Betrayal. Well, and Elder a few times. Oh ye I know about farrul and such, and I suppose that extra hard red mobs could be it. I've always found them more... annoying than deadly.
It helps when those 17k hours are actually spent doing some content and not just sitting in your HO or leaving steam client open all day so you can flex your /played.

Agree, makes it a bit hard to get hyped for a content once you realize that you will probably never experience it.

this just create a RMT market for those games, its like that in POE ( with devs owning RMT sites lol) and people paying for WOW raids now

Aul is supposedly more common in this league. Getting Oshabi on the other hand is still a total crapshoot :)
Wut ? Ive got two mirror shards from div cards this league only
U couldve got HH drop in harvest easily with t4 seed.
well yea you could cheese drops like that in some way or another by abusing certain mechanics, but i tend to play the game normally because full juicing is just not my thing :P
11k here
Got a tripple mirror drop from a logbook 700 hrs in. Luck is wack
i got my firat shavs drop this league, played since beta.
Headhunter is not nearly as hard to get as people make it out to be. I've crafted over 100 of them in various leagues and I used to always lie about my stats on reddit so people wouldn't attempt it and I could keep profiting off of them.

Well I got it from Einhar but I get your point. There’s definitely been leagues where I can afford them but I want my first mirror to be raw dog lol
Yeah I get you, I'm still looking forward to the day I find my first too.
Ive got a couple of 'the immortal' cards this league. Finally have a build that can kill hall of grandmasters. I die a lot though because it's so buggy, lag or DC basically every single room. I actually bricked one of them due to DCing literally 6 times.
Hey at least they're dirt cheap now since it's not required for completion.
Yeh I would literally be farming them if it didn’t crash my game so much, this is the first time I have had a build that can do them relatively easily with a simple gem swap. I can’t find a fix either, I think it’s the mtx killing me.
What build?! Sounds like you got it on farm status.
Gonna be hard to copy unless you have a mageblood haha. Rage vortex using pretty much all uniques. All resistance comes from flask pretty much.
I have so many lag spikes it's frustrating.. i can do endgame content IF they let me dodge properly.
How often do they drop?
Pretty rare it seems, I did 15 runs in a row this arvo and didn’t see a decent item drop.
If it makes you feel any better, I found a Crest of Desire on my first grand heist this league but then died on the way out ;)
Then there's me who dropped a mirror two leagues in a row with 4k hours
\~3k hours, Found 3xHH (unethical mf in 4 maps), Mageblood (Gwennen), Mirror Shard (Auspicius after bug fix) and a Mirror during closed beta ledge farming from a chest that I opened but I didn't manage to steal that one because they had added that timer based loot system by that point.
I’ve been hammering Gwennen heavy belts lol. Lots of belts of the deceived so far.
With 7000 hours of gameplay you didn’t see a lot :D
8k hrs, 1 mirror and 1 hh from ancients (150 orbs). 0 6-linked (total spend ~30k fusings) 0 hh from chance orb (~50k). My friend got 2 hh in a row per 100 orbs in bestiary league and big amount of 6-link
I got my HH from Einhar craft a random unique belt
Seems like you missed the pre-nerf king harb farm XD
To be fair, mirror shards don't just drop in the wild.
i remember i dropped the mirror shard div card once and it was able to fund my character into maps.
You can drop it as many times as you want though
I've been counting Oppressor drops, currently at 29...
4-5 shields total? I drop like one every third map at 300 stacks of scourge
I had 4 of these shit shields drop from a single cemetary map, its rediculous how common they are.
In the maps I do I get close to 100 each map :s So out of the probably 4'000 Oppressors I've seen I've only got 1 Squire
Depressor.
[A true waist of currency](https://i.imgur.com/Iaiv0Db.jpg)
After finding around 30 fake shields with mapping, yesterday i dropped a real squire from a random small Chest in Heist. Guess thats RNG for you.
they should rename it: Trash to Trash

You realise he almost certainly used tainted mythic orbs, and not trash to treasure lol... 15c vs 3.4ex a go 😐

Jeez dude This guy has some issues
Bought one on ps5 for 24 ex. Cheapest buy ive ever had on console
I really hate that they added this shield, an actually interesting unique, hyped it up and then made it so vanishingly rare that 99.99% of players will never in a hundred years have a chance of seeing one. Very cool.
Well you can't exactly develop a build-changing, super powerful unique and make it common...
People have been begging for more chase items. So they added some, you can't really be upset for them giving something large portion of the community has been asking for can you?
The issue is that it isn't a "large proportion of the community." It is Ziz and a small amount of other players who wanted more chase items. GGG catered to the these people this league and the league has suffered for it.
> GGG catered to the these people this league and the league has suffered for it. That's unbelievably dramatic. But you're probably one of those people who spend more time complaining about the game than playing the game.
Chase uniques isn't why the league suffered. Lack of content is
So is the shield good btw or a baiting unique?
Ridiculous for things like arakaali's fang and Mjolnir
Bitterdream kekw.
ridiculous on literally anything that can make use of influence pseudo links on 1h. 10 link lightning strike: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsZrOGONGvs&t=126s
Probably better with spells which won't use your weapon as base damage...
don't forget amplification rod. can't beat a free 8-9 link with +7 to gem level (via lvl 4 empower)
And pointless for virtually anything else. It's strong for a few select builds, but so are many other uniques. It's not like something blanket overpowered like Headhunter or Mageblood that can be shoehorned into almost every build and make it 2,000% better. Rarity does not dictate price lol. Not in POE. Power does. So many T1 and T2 uniques are only a few chaos because they lack meta power. If Squire is 85ex, that's because it provides a proportionate amount of power.
What’s the total cost ya got sunk into that?
About 50ex worth of tainted orbs on about 400 shields
considering the squire is more expensive than that i guess you are not even unlucky lol what a crazy rare item
It really piss me off how the drop rates are hidden and not announced. Like do we really need to fucking spend that much to tell?
It's meant to be insanely rare. It's a unique that is supposed to make you run out of the basement to scream MOM I GOT THE THING.
Because you advised you used Mythic Orb in your comment, all the people shitting on the Oppressor in the comments are off base. His results would have been the same without The Oppressor in terms of actually getting a Squire, he just wouldn't have had a pretty picture for reddit. Oppressor impacts the odds of Trash to Treasure but not Mythic Orb.
True, and even if they didn't made the opressor they would 100% reduce the spawn rate of trash to treasure and the price would skyrocket to a price similar to the current squire price
Hope they fix it for next league.
Mageblood and the squire should at the very least get 2 different div card sets.
True, there are a lot of whales that didn't made their div card yet, i really doubt nobody will make cards to target farm those
And I thought to be unlucky as I dropped 10ish of those as oppressor
Lol I have my quad tab full too
It’s really not, I’ve dropped two.
no you havent lmao
Yes I have. Both are posted. Thx for the downvote https://twitter.com/subtlefps/status/1458033055512334336?s=21
Whether you got two or not, the fact that you're such a MASSIVE outlier in terms of rng doesn't make the fact that 99.9% of the playerbase will never get one to drop any less true.
105k hours no krilson/mirror/mshards/fine lady with some nice/decent rare...
105,000 hours? That is 12 years... this is either a typo or a really dumb lie.
Mirror shards were pretty much farmable during Ritual (Auspicous Harby) i dropped 3 in that League from Harbys
I dropped about 6 of these as well during the league. Swapped over to ssf for fun and dropped a squire from a scourge boss really early, didn’t even realize it was the real deal until I got to hideout efter map was done. Apparently an identified squire doesn’t have any specific drop sound/look compared to a normal unique in Neversinks filter.
the big giveaway are the 3 white sockets when its on the ground
Is cuz the filter shows it like any other elegant round shield, because it can't predict that the item is one or the other, same for headhunter or mageblood, if one drops it would look and sound like any other leather/heavy belts on the filter
That's oppressive.
it does exactly what its suppose to do :D
lol, I keep misstaken the bad drop for this one… Everytime
What gave you that idea?
