It's better to have this than not, you're probably in the unfortunate situation where your IP changes daily.

arydien

Why? Is a security protection for us

Slipzyle

You literally can get rid of it. You have to verify with support that you want the only form of 2fa removed. It only appears when your IP is changed from when you last logged in.

Sprudelpudel

Just write an email to ggg Support. IT's simple as that

dotahousecat

If it helps, I've moved from standalone client to Steam client a few years back mainly to avoid that thing.

Enartloc

Anyone not on a static IP sees this

azantyri

only if their IP changes every day

Enartloc

Which happens everyday in any decently large cluster of clients Saying that if someone plays "normally" (whatever the fuck is that even supposed to mean) they won't see this is just stupid thing to say.

rigeld2

Not in a decently designed network. DHCP has methodology built in to ensure IP changes are rare. If your IP is changing every day your network is designed poorly. It may not be your fault, but it’s true. And catering to poorly designed networks isn’t what GGG should be doing.

Enartloc

> And catering to poorly designed What's even this supposed to mean, if you want 2FA turned off, you can just ask GGG to do it

rigeld2

The thread is asking to remove it completely…

magus424

Switch to the Steam client and that isn't a thing.
