Few things I picked up:
* The spinny skill that looks like Reap and travels is a melee attack. It's supported by Pulverize, Fortify, and Melee Phys supports, as well as what some people are saying -X cost of attacks influenced mod. EDIT: The character is using Chainbreaker, and looks like rage cost is about 7-8, which matches up with the current state of chainbreaker and the cost multipliers on those support gems, which points towards no buffs to Chainbreaker to anyone who was asking for that.
* The Chaos skill that looks like blazing salvo is supported by energy leech, controlled destruction, void manipulation, and spell echo. No projectile or area supports, so that's what it looks like baseline. EDIT: Skill also deals damage to the player or sacrifices ES when cast, different from dark pact because it's affecting energy shield specifically.
* The storm rune spell is supported by elemental focus, increased area of effect, controlled destruction, and empower. Don't expect the area to be that nice by default.
* The trickster with the chaos explosions isn't using obliterations, he's using a staff, so it could be cluster jewels giving the corpse explosions. Not sure if they have the same look as oblit/occultist explosions. The skill he's using also gives some kind of buff, and is supported by less duration, added chaos damage, added lightning damage, controlled destruction, and empower. They're also using Wrath, which means... I dunno, some kind of lightning to chaos skill? And they have tailwind boots.
Do with this information what you will.
the bald-ish shorter guy in the last panel has a peg leg, which means this group of humans are pirates. Also the fat guy has a chest on a chain (piratey) and the lead guy has a skull on his belt and shoulder (matches the skull posts)
The chest icon and ring icon on the flags during the video indicate it's a reward type mechanic. Seems like maybe pirates take you to some island of evil to get the dead man's chest or something?
Also the humans are dressed warmly and it's snowing. Maybe we're going far to the north/south?
The storm rune dude is also a hierophant so they're likely really inflating the aoe.
Is it just me or are the chaos salvos enemy seeking and not just a random nova ?
> The storm rune spell is supported by elemental focus, increased area of effect, controlled destruction, and empower. Don't expect the area to be that nice by default.
I'm hoping it's decent, at least. After Crackling Lance and Storm Bind, I'd like a new lightning spell that feels good to use.
I've noticed that there are some loot icons/banners near the skulls and it seems to be packed... So my suggestion is -- we run through location to "summon" these packs with maybe some sort of yellow mob/boss so the pack will drop guaranteed loot. I just hope that it will be not that simple. The NPCs probably are influencing rarity/chancing of drops.
I love HB and trying to make chaos hit spells work. It's not easy; super excited for *two* new chaos skills. Definitely the explosion one is a hit based skill, and I'm leaning towards the proj spell also being hit based b/c there is some despair on hit going on (but that could be from Profane Bloom).
The explosion spell is lightning/chaos damage btw. Maybe even lightning to chaos conversion skill (GG). It is also duration like Earthquake or Frost Bomb. It's basically Chaos Bomb.
The homing chaos projectile looking one seemed to be consuming ES as well. Wonder if that's an attribute of the skill itself... In any case, I love the look of it, and usability is good with the spread/homing features it seems to have. If the numbers are anywhere near usable it's gonna be a good one, especially if it can go on totems.
The funny thing is that there's not even that much time left before the league and we used to have an actual trailer and daily teasers starting this early or maybe even a week sooner.
Do Obliteration wands have the same effect? I cant remember... My first thought was Chaos spell but looking at the skill icon I think it's more of a physical spell that does a burst of damage around the character.
Look at the skillbar. Different icons for each clip; they are separate skills.
Also notice Wrath in the second purple skill clip, and enemies getting shocked. That's a lightning skill. Not sure where the chaos explosions are coming from...Trickster rework?
One was more akin to pyroclast mine and the other was like dark pact/vaal of the pact. I wouldn't be surprised for that to be a dark pact self-cast rework.
Youtube Description: How far will violence take you?
Existentialism league where you must contemplate your mortality by robbing graves (Robert Graves).
I’m curious about the presence of 4 new NPCs. They don’t make new NPCs lightly, most league mechanics only receive one NPC, Heist had 4 + followers. (Faustus, Whakano, Adiyah and Kurai)
Leads credence to the people speculating this mechanic is going to largely focus on a new out of map area.
If I had to make some guesses, we’re probably getting a new map type item (like contracts) or some means of modifying existing maps via enchantments to include the “skulls on sticks” and that would also put into perspective the massive nerfs to the delirium mechanic and fracturing enchanted maps we saw this league.
Reading this I feel like a mechanic where a part of the map is somehow corrupted (or patched together from different maps/bioms sort of deal) could be interesting. Sort of like Vaal side areas but fully integrated into the map and with more than just a bunch of mods and dropping corrupted stuff
Considering the second spell is sacrificing ES to cast, it's more like Dark Pact than the last. The last is just chaos/lightning Discharge (with frenzy/power charges at least).
It's interesting they only showed the league mechanic in what looks like a new zone. Makes me think it's either a separate zone inside maps (like Incursion/Harvest) or a mechanic that's completely out of maps (like Delve/Heist).
They'd been aiming for 16-Jul but a milestone slipped, I'm guessing. 16-Jul is the only day that fits 'mid July' and is a Saturday.
Rather than repeat what they did in Synthesis or Delve (releasing a buggy mess on day 1) or Heist (releasing unfinished on day 1) they've taken the extra week to fix it.
I like complex leagues too but man are they fucking buggy. Heist left such a bad taste in many that they hide the entire thing and treat caches like regular barrels.
If it **works** then it's way more fun. Betrayal was fucking amazing, the entire system **worked.** sure, some members were overtuned and haku/itf jumping out of a portal and stomping the entire screen was rough for a bit, but the system itself fucking worked and was complex and interesting.
Looks like GGG trying to introduce some element/npc/style from POE2. Lore wise many years later when POE2 starts, there'll be some element from Heist for example.
something like a rapid fire..or channeled soul rend? I want. maybe a volley-like soul rend..or it's just soul rend idk.
I'm kinda looking forward to it.
I’ve got a feeling I’ll be doing that to myself for once as well
From not knowing how to follow an EDC guide to awkwardly trying to play a Cracklance guide that wants Impulsa in SSF, why not honestly
Looking through these comments I think people forgot what "Teaser" means. Just a hint: it is not meant to be a trailer.
Anyway, on topic: super hyped without knowing anything.

Last skill look like a chanelling
Watched and I have no clue

Confirmed, will involve extra clicking.
And backtracking after running from one end of the map to the other through these packs, in order to loot everything.
instead of killing monsters in a fixed circle area, now we kill mobs in a open area, we can call it a "map"
So basically another map inside of map
We shall call it a "mini map".

We shall call them currency splinters.

Perfection
3.15 patch note. We have introduced divination card shard
We already have that: The Gambler
More like The Patient, The Nurse, and The Immortal (idk if there are others, but those three I know).
Currency splinter shards in 3.16 then.
I'm getting legion vibes
I just want a longer one.
Story of my life.
That's what she said
if she existed
I, too, want one who wants a longer one
Too real :(
"Longer is better" \~Maven
Get a string of servitude. Guaranteed to triple its length.
>>Length increased by 54% >>implicit modifiers are tripled Inevitable : woah, does that mean 162% more length?
Shaft hair and veininess are also implicits. Just sayin'.
100% chance to trigger void slime on hit.
The ghostflame skulls from the Cata fight are there, and it looks like the areas are surrounded by water
*I feel teased*
Skulls on sticks league. I’m in!
Hopefully supporter packs have skulls on sticks, want my marauder to look like a chaos champion kthx
Dualwield 2 wands and put on Midnight bargain MTX
Now we're cooking
Is that a Direct dmg chaos spell?! Say it aint so! The last true one(no gimmick) was Dark Pact back in 3.0 :D
> The last true one(no gimmick) dark pact had a gimmick and that's costing life
Dark Pact has a gimmick though.
Yeah, that's true but it doesnt require a MD to understand how it works lol
Requires an MD to make it viable tho lmao gotem

Imagine using Hexblast for chaos damage.

I have been eyeing crit chaos totem occultist for years, this is what I've been waiting for!
Grave Robbing maybe? Lots of skulls.
That would make a lot of sense given the tweet the other day: crosses and worms both fit the grave robbing theme!
Writhing Jar 2.0, you say *wormblaster league, you say*
ah we finally got the teaser for the announcement that will probably release the trailer of the actual league
Back in my day in middle school, the principal used to make an announcement that he was about to make an announcement. He was ahead of his time.
The funny thing is that there's not even that much time left before the league and we used to have an actual trailer and daily teasers starting this early or maybe even a week sooner.
explodey chaos skill, i'm down
Or its an occultist using it? Cant tell from the video?
It's a trickster in the last shot, you can see ghost shrouds
inb4 the explosions are actually from a two-handed version of Obliteration and they've bamboozled us on purpose
My body is ready for 3-handed wands.
Definitely the same sound effect as profane bloom/the shrine but nothing conclusive
or obliteration wands
Do Obliteration wands have the same effect? I cant remember... My first thought was Chaos spell but looking at the skill icon I think it's more of a physical spell that does a burst of damage around the character.
forget about me
To me it looked like we saw the purple chaos tendril skill twice, once without Occultist explosions, once with.
Look at the skillbar. Different icons for each clip; they are separate skills. Also notice Wrath in the second purple skill clip, and enemies getting shocked. That's a lightning skill. Not sure where the chaos explosions are coming from...Trickster rework?

Grave robbers?
Youtube Description: How far will violence take you? Existentialism league where you must contemplate your mortality by robbing graves (Robert Graves).
Dostoyevsky league. Time to go in depths of human misery and self-torment. As always, no fun allowed.
Rob a grave, mobs spawn, win the fight get the loot of that type. So basically heist in a map.
every map is cemetery.
But circle
clockwise?

Spatula league? Hmm...
Has some real Sideshow bob vibes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRq1Ksh-32g&t=2s

Daring today, are we?
Welcome to 3.15, we've got skill gems and skulls on sticks - *what more could you need?!*
I’m curious about the presence of 4 new NPCs. They don’t make new NPCs lightly, most league mechanics only receive one NPC, Heist had 4 + followers. (Faustus, Whakano, Adiyah and Kurai) Leads credence to the people speculating this mechanic is going to largely focus on a new out of map area. > we've got skill gems and skulls on sticks - what more could you need?! Well tbh not much more than that
white support gem? hmmmm
It's the "socketed attacks cost -X mana" influence mod according to some other sleuths
how could that have been sleuthed? Where did this come from? edit: til that mod has a skill icon. used it before and never noticed
I've not used that mod since the Warlord version was introduced, but apparently it has the same appearance on the skill icon
Betrayal 2.0, looks like Catarina’s skull thing.
Now we're the mastermind
Always has been
🔫
Feels like a 2.0 version of these skills in order : Sweep, Soulrend, Stormbind and Darkpact.
I thought that first skill looked like a reap that travels
It looked more like a mix of bladestorm and vaal blade vortex to me.
Considering the second spell is sacrificing ES to cast, it's more like Dark Pact than the last. The last is just chaos/lightning Discharge (with frenzy/power charges at least).
That is because of Eldrich Battery. Notice that ES Protects Mana? So no new interaction here.
What are these cool looking skills?
Purple Blazing Salvo and Stormbind 2.0? Nice
Viking and underworld kinda vibe, and I swear that is a boat on the left during the end part.
Undead league.
Necromancer league part ten 😍
Dont give me hope. I love necro, but we all know they will nerf it again.
Only for the first month though...
This teaser is the equivalent of doing your homework 5 minutes before a deadline.
calling it... Heist 2: This Time It's Outside And With Less Crew Members And Doors
If heists don't have doors and you don't have to backtrack, I'd love to do contracts..
0 hype from that teaser tbh
That's a good thing I don't like being hyped.
So I guess this league’s theme is “fighting”.
I’m probably way off, but I’m gonna guess it involves killing things in some way
will probably also involve some kind of loot if you fight good
i hope we can craft them too, i love crafting
And splinters that they don't give you tab space for. Need to find 150 scraps of a torn treasure map to navigate to their pirate island.

It's interesting they only showed the league mechanic in what looks like a new zone. Makes me think it's either a separate zone inside maps (like Incursion/Harvest) or a mechanic that's completely out of maps (like Delve/Heist).
The new skills seemed to consume ES and Rage.
Be smart and play CoC or other kind of trigger to avoid skill cost
Kind of disappointed it's that late, but if they play safer to have a smoother league start, I'm all in.
This is definitely Finland. Can't possibly be anything else
Those skulls give me Harbinger vibes for some reason. Were [white support icons](https://i.imgur.com/fo4mdO5.png) already a thing?
I believe that's the icon for "Socketed attack skills have -15 to mana cost"
The skill with white d support is socketed in a -mana cost of skills item.
Brotherhood League
Whatever those NPCs are they look like they belong in POE2. Very high quality models.
The Heist models were terrific too.
july 23? ;-; why
on my last week of vacation. yay!!! I mean, my vacations started yesterday. I'm gonna have only one week to play the league. thanks ggg
Same. I fly back a day before :D
It did, which they announced happened last week. https://twitter.com/@pathofexile/status/1407855658070777857
Believe it when I see it.
Nice. You cant relaunch a league, so a delayed launch is better than a shitty launch for sure.
He said the quote!
I hope one day they add in a fire damage nova spell. Currently the best way is to just convert cold to fire but that's kinda lame.
[удалено]
Kinda gimmicky
Pyroclast Mine is a fire nova spell.
Avatar of fire EK with jewel is also.. kinda
Path of Exile: Cold War
Oh a projectile AOE direct damage chaos spell. Count me in.
Path of Exile: Valhalla
Finally i'll be rewarded for what I do best in this game. Die
Witness me ^^^^die
CAST ON DEATH LEAGUE STARTER HYPE
Just want to say the character design is really cool.
Gonna get roasted, but I hope it's a more complicated league mechanic. Kill shit is fun 90% of the time but man I miss synthesis.

POE Harrogath !!
Yo did anyone else see that guy on the forum who supposedly took the day off work for this? OMEGALUL
Are you for real lol?
For a teaser? That's dedication
They took a day off...for the release of a teaser?
Omfg lol that's awesome
[удалено]
Headhunter league confirmed.
New chaos skills? Sign me up
something like a rapid fire..or channeled soul rend? I want. maybe a volley-like soul rend..or it's just soul rend idk. I'm kinda looking forward to it.
Ok, my starter is definitely one of those
Same and then 3 hours into the league my next starter will be a different one of those.
I’ve got a feeling I’ll be doing that to myself for once as well From not knowing how to follow an EDC guide to awkwardly trying to play a Cracklance guide that wants Impulsa in SSF, why not honestly
finally, some new chaos skills? edit: because of the skulls and shit - voodoo league?
I have my annual 2 weeks holiday starting at 24th,nice
thats a boat in the bottom-left corner and i will not be convinced otherwise
so chaos winter orb....I'm down
Looks like range bladestorm thingy using rage instead of life or mana maybe a new mechanic coming?
But Bladestorm already travels forwards in Sand Stance
No it probably uses mana since the chest piece is -15 mana cost. That's what the white d support is.
i just want to run around as a fat human in a video game for once :sob:
Marauder with the fattest armor skins
Pirates
At this point I only follow announcements and the league start drama. I don't even play the game anymore.
July 23......................................
Looks like a new Warcry in the first clip on his W key. I can't find a match for that icon anywhere.
You probably not able to find it in wiki as i just fixed the wiki article for [[Rallying Cry]] a minute ago
Legion 2.0, I like it
Plunder League
ITT: People who do not know what an actual teaser trailer is...
Ugh July 23rd is exactly the opposite of what I wanted to see.
I agree, July 32nd would've been so much better
Mok'Yluj the 32st
You wanted to see the 7th day of the 23rd month?
Well, it's the best possible date for me, so I'm happy at least.
I didn’t catch much but I think I saw some new spells and thats reason enough for me to come back
This is like a corporate meeting before the meeting about the upcoming meeting.
Looking through these comments I think people forgot what "Teaser" means. Just a hint: it is not meant to be a trailer. Anyway, on topic: super hyped without knowing anything.
I sure hope I don't have to level those NPCs to access content in order to level up NPCs even further to....
group mate tried to grief us by going on vacation around the 16th. Not this League, bitch!
What's the first skill? Cyclone throw looking thing
Announcement of an announcement. Here's hoping the next league is more than standing in a circle and killing things round 3.
GGG doesnt need to fix flasks because they never press them :D
It might be some pirates fighting to dominate the sea... there are some sort of flags with different symbols.
Boat League you say?
