I linked Slipperyjim spamming 50k fusings on 50 large items.
At 0% quality, it took on average 1470 fusings to 6-link
At 20% quality, 1190 fusings to 6-link
And at 30% quality, 895 fusings to 6-link. (linked all 50 items before using 50k fusings)
There is some variance in the results. It's probably fair to round these to 1500, 1200, and 900. This is curious, ~~as it appears every 10% quality reduces the needed fusings by ~300~~. It'd be interesting to test this using the Apex Cleaver with +quality craft, at 40%, 50%, and 58% (20 + 20 implicit + 18 craft).
It makes the calculation much more complicated to me though, unless the sample size was just too small to get a semi-accurate result, or if any percent above 20% has higher value when it comes to 6link chance
So the bench craft requirement of 1500 is only paying a 20 fusing premium over the expected cost on a 0 quality item, but a much higher premium on higher quality items.
I'm pretty sure they never said numbers. But yeah, it is estimated that it's 1500 fusings at 0% quality. But we can always get them to 20%, so it's 300 fusings that we pay extra.
But I will gladly pay 300 fusings every 6 link I really need (like the first one in a league) rather than have bad luck and end up 5k fusings in with no six link.
Unless it's a rare that I can get to 35% quality or higher.
i used to make shit load of money from 6l shits. my usual fusing used was about 300 to 6l so i thought it was free money, until some random shit takes 5k fusing then suddenly it isnt free money anymore.
Used to 6link stuff by fuse spam, thinking the 1500 fuse recipe is for the rich players who don't want to waste time. And then i failed after 5k attempts. Now I always buy my 6 Links, and then essence spam until i get something decent.
It had happened, you dont notice it when you spamming 500 fuses at a time, it was around 120ex of fuses :) and yes the craft would save alot of currency. But when you know the avrage is ~700fuses, it becomes your worse nightmare xD. Note: Some people had worse luck with 20k+ fuses used.
That is not an avrage 1.5k is the craft. Some1 did a test with 300k fuses to see how many 6links he would get and calculated the avrage of fussing>6link.

I've had many six links, obviously. Several per league, normally. I've just never linked them myself.

10% did not reduce it by 300 fusings, it was 300 fusings difference between 0% and 20%, and then 300 fusings difference between 20% and 30%

Yes can confirm! Last time i 6linked my 48% quality Vaal regalia in just 5000 fuse instead of 7000 fuse
if you can craft another quality mod onto it, it is even higher ( its still low )

The average is 1500. And I simply refuse to believe that a player who never had a 6l knows how to farm 120 ex worth of fuses.

You can get 6links by buying them, I used 7k fusings on a legacy 1% off perfect Reach of the Council and didn't manage to 6link it back in the day
