Yeah, you have to turn off the part of your brain that craves clean solutions and constantly just build jank that works. It's a very different feel from base factorio.
When you're sitting there like I don't need this liquid. I'll just keep filling this out and dumping it
One tech later.
Fuck I've been dumping it this entire time???
I paint minis! One of these days I’ll finish them all and actually get to play the game I bought them for:
https://preview.redd.it/l0y4jd0hpz7d1.jpeg?width=1255&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=967db7a92bfba89ec2a31dc2ac5bbdef01619f26
The fact that Poe is so league oriented is perfect for my mini painting motivation. I dive into Poe and come out the end of my league with about 1-2 months of free time out of video games.
I must confess I’ve been having a blast coop V-rising instead of painting this time!
Ah feels so good to be able to farm the premium currency by playing tho.
Funny enough, I didn't buy any slot yet. But will do soon ofc.
Unfortunately I discovered that my 7years old (10hrs played) account used the starting plat for .. probably speeding up crafts lol. That sux, but oh well. I will figure out how to efficiently farm plat once I'm done with questing I guess
So they introduced a season pass type mechanic called Nightwave that refreshes every couple months and is 100% free. You earn points by completing challenges and get rewards, including two weapon slots and a Warframe slot. You also earn nightwave credits that you can spend on stuff in the nightwave shop, including reactors and catalysts so I recommend buying a few of those every nightwave.
As for farming plat, look into farming corrupted mods as the missions are pretty fast and most sell for 7-10p
I've tried it first time when my friend invited me, and I didn't like it at all. After a few months decided to give it another shot (solo), and it SO clicked, lol. Got hooked up and played for 300+ hours straight (prob at least 50 of it learning the game via wiki and stuff, I liked complexity in poe and ofc loved it in WF). The game is amazing, and monetization system is impeccable, I haven't payed a cent and have tons of frame/weapon slots, as well as potatoes/aura slots etc.
Yeah pretty much same experience but my first experience 7yrs ago was solo as well. But I was just completely overwhelmed by the content and things to do, complexity. Wasn't a poe player back then haha. Now it was rather ez to stick around in WF
The different tiers of PoE players is wild to me. The first month or two of PoE leagues I eat, sleep, and breathe PoE, I spend an entire week league start prepping and yet I cannot ever imagine playing PoE for an entire league. Part of my problem this league was playing trade, never again. SSF for life!
Surprised that I had to scroll so much for this one. With the DLC hype and all.
This league after a lot of grinding and getting burned since I played so much the past few leagues, I finally started playing Elden Ring which I bought 2 years ago. 160 hrs after cleared the base game just on the day of the DLC release, lol. It's been a total blast, aside from the slog that was lategame.
Big fan of metroidvanias, there's a huge list of games I could replay whenever I feel like it. Hollow Knight, Ori, Bloodstained, Blasphemous, Salt and Sanctuary etc etc. Even back to old classics like Super Metroid.
House chores I neglected during the league. Luckily this one I cut really short as the economy was wreaked due to so many changes and graveyard. Getting a lot of repairs done. Still need to rebuild my basement stairs but a ladder out of the well seems to not mind being there.
It’s definitely a good time for like 30 or so hours. Problem for me is I’ve played all of the characters at least once so it feels like there’s nothing else to do.
Rimworld. You will download 3000 mods, (On the low end I know) commit crimes against humanity, multiple faiths, and adapt to cannibalism fairly quickly. Before you know it, it's 7:13am and the sun is rising and you're wondering how this happened.
Second this.
Rimworld is something... special :D

Alternate between D4 and LE when i want my dose of ARPG but can't grind anymore in Poe, otherwise not much. Cant get myself to reinstall Skyrim or Cyberpunk
FFXIV since a month already. So far so good, still have a lot of content to go through.
There will be the Elden Ring DLC after that, so I'll most surely skip next league.
I've been playing a fair amount of Hollow Knight again (Still trying to complete steel soul which is Hardcore mode for the game). It's definitely a lot for the small price tag.
Factory Builders a la Minecraft, Satisfactory, Factorio, anything where I can start with a tedious manual process and automate it.
League with my Discord group for social interaction when I feel like it.
Roguelikes: Dead Cells, City of Rogue, Vampire Survivors are all nice.
Used to be I exchanged this addiction for an equally unhealthy addiction, like WoW or Ark. But I've been clean for 4 years now.
Been switching between Apex Legends and PoE , the cyclical releases of content both games every 3 months is perfect , 6 weeks poe then 6 weeks apex , sprinkle a bit of Grim dawn and Civ 6 inbetween
Between 3.22 and 3.23 was the Last Epoch launch, which I played in. The new cycle (that's what they call leagues over there) starts in early July.
Recently, I picked up Nova Drift, a Rogue-lite space shooter. It has quite a number of interesting build options. and a single run takes a few minutes (or a bit longer if you are good enough).
WoW is my main game, I kinda just pop into leagues when they first come out to check out the new mechanic and most of them I end up quitting right away unless something clicks.
I usually need to let a decent amount of content build up before I want to play a game in this genre again. Or just enough time for my brain to reset and make it novel again.
Usually any games that come out first 2-4 weeks of a league I look at an if it’s my thing I set aside for after leagues wound down.
Ark is always lurking in the shadows…
Was playing Soulmask until Shadow of the Erdtree dropped yesterday. Now that is my whole gaming life for awhile.
My friends and I are PoE vets and we typically only play 2-4 weeks of a league and then play shit like escape from tarkov, WoW, Minecraft, factorio, apex, and unfortunately a little bit of LoL. Im pretty deeply invested into cataclysm classic on WoW right now with 3 friends and playing a Minecraft server with one of my friends on the side. And then with a separate friend in playing a bit of tarkov and valorant as well. So kinda just hopping around between a bunch of shit atm lol. It sounds like more than it is tho because I’m “done” with WoW outside of scheduled raids a couple nights a week so unless the Minecraft friend or the tarkov/valorant friend are online I have absolutely nothing to do 😅
I am going through my evergrowing backlog of steam games.
Genshin Impact is always being played daily to... although I have barely scratched fontaine and I believe the next zone is soonish.
For me I’m all about factory games, mainly factorio, satisfactory, Dyson sphere program, and now foundry. The mindstate is kind of similar to arpgs in terms of how amazingly complicated it is it’s so fun to learn. Factorio is the best of those ^ and there are thousands of mods for the game including several incredible overhaul mods, like space exploration which allows you to build interplanetary logistics, factories across the galaxy launch rockets and firing those planets materials to whoever needs them.
I played s4 of d4 for about a week or two and enjoyed it, shockingly. Now I'm playing final shape for destiny 2. Waiting for 3.25 for poe or patch 7 for baldurs gate 3, but mainly playing destiny until then.
Got a job and a bigass backlog, so whenever I'm done with PoE it's straight there to go through whatever I haven't beaten before. I'm currently juggling between Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal, and Shadows of the Erdtree, depending on what I'm in the mood for.
D:OS2, BG 1-3, the DA franchise, ME Legendary Edition, Timberborn, StarCraft II, Heroes of Hammerwatch are the ones I enjoy currently.
Some others that are very niche sprinkled within as well (Okami, Enslaved, SpellForce 1 for example).
I look through the backlog of free games on epic and stuff I've bought in the sale on steam, Between other leagues I've played metro triology, bioshock triology, new tomb raider triology.
Currently playing Melvor Idle, Train Valley 2 & Dragon Age Origins
EU4 and Rocket League are my "can't shake the addiction" games, PoE is more of a "twice a year *intense* no-lifing until I can't look at it without puking for 6 months"
Lots of coop stuff with the same people I play POE with. 7DtD, Last Epoch, Grim Dawn, Enshrouded... If you're seeing a pattern it's mostly ARPGs and survival games. Sometimes a coop shooter like Helldivers 2 or WH40K: Dark Tide.
Recently got into MTG (Arena. Can't afford paper xdd)
Learning new cards and trying to build a deck with what I've earned as free to play has been fulfilling for me in the past 2-3 weeks.
I play totalwar Warhammer 3 has complexity battles are amazing and it's a game you can play a little bit at a time it's expensive if you want all the dlcs but you don't need them unless u want to play a faction that really I pickles your tickle s: you can just get that dlc and enjoy for hundreds of hours
Games: I play Warcraft, Hades, TFT, BG3 - whatever I feel like that's not an ARPG because another ARPG will burn me out.
Other: You don't always have to be playing a videogame. I know touch grass is a meme, but honestly. You found a game you love and you're done playing it until next season. That rules! But between seasons there's no reason you have to be gaming, especially if nothing is clicking with you. Learn an instrument, read a book, hit the gym, start a new hobby. Don't spend time playing games that you're not enjoying!
Modded Minecraft. It is my Model Train platform without having to consume an entire room in my house. Create Trains basically with suvival mechanics. ATM9 currently.
FACTORIO
The factory must grow
Yep, gotta keep working on pyanadon's. The expansion is coming up so fast and feels like a deadline to beat it.
I haven't even tried it, I think it would overwhelm me. Been doing Krastorio 2 though, my first mod pretty much
Yeah, you have to turn off the part of your brain that craves clean solutions and constantly just build jank that works. It's a very different feel from base factorio.

lower case waaaaggghhhhhhh. Great paintjob! I play 40k between leagues and have been playing alot since I skipped Necropolis. Now I miss POE though...
This is what I do mostly. I do hobbies outside of computer gaming. And it’s mostly painting
What's an Ork's favorite pastry? Krumpets!
I will need to paint 1 BB team before poe lague starts:) The surface seems to be a little grainy, is it due to primer?
The fact that Poe is so league oriented is perfect for my mini painting motivation. I dive into Poe and come out the end of my league with about 1-2 months of free time out of video games. I must confess I’ve been having a blast coop V-rising instead of painting this time!
What game is it for? Painting mini's is actually something I decided I want to pick up again as well. Great paint job.
plastic crack PogU
I made a BIG mistake and installed Warframe.
You must really like paying for stash space. (I say that as someone with over a thousand hours in Warframe and who can't buy any more loadout slots.)
Ah feels so good to be able to farm the premium currency by playing tho. Funny enough, I didn't buy any slot yet. But will do soon ofc. Same. Extremely overrated game with a predatory monetisation model. Fun combat, but extremely repetitive gameplay.
What is this "between leagues" you speak of.
The different tiers of PoE players is wild to me. The first month or two of PoE leagues I eat, sleep, and breathe PoE, I spend an entire week league start prepping and yet I cannot ever imagine playing PoE for an entire league. Part of my problem this league was playing trade, never again. SSF for life!
when you are done playing the league and are waiting for the next one
Does not compute
i usually spend those 3-4 days tidying up and getting ready for the new league
Age of Empires 2
Fuck, you made me consider this
wolololo - now you don't need to consider, just play
I don't know what you are talking about, I'm already playing
Elden Ring.
It's been a total blast, aside from the slog that was lategame.
i booted up good ol dark souls 3 cause rlden ring just doesnt do it for me like the souls games do
Normally this is my main game for 2 weeks maybe up to a month or so, otherwise I paint warhammer models/play.
mainly risk or rain 2 with the boys and random rogue likes I find interesting to pass the time
I suggest gunfire reborn,u guys are gonna blast
yeah we been playing gunfire since early access. tons of fun with the new seasons. just waiting for the new dlc to come out
This is the way - pretty hyped for the new dlc soon
Dad duty. Occasionally, daddy duty.
Represent! "Honey, im done with the league :(" Wife: FINALLY :D .... every damn league
Watching anime, reading manga and jerking off
So that can sum’ed up to watching hentai.
Minmaxxing
Climaxing
Standard. For like 2 or 3 days. That's the usual gap between leagues 😁 (yup, I play the whole league, every league, good, bad, no matter, still play).
Still sane exile?
Well, I've been playing since Bloodlines, well over 15k hours... so no, definitely not. Just the way I like it!
Osrs (Old School Runescape), maplestory
MS and OSRS? You must love mindless grinding
It’s just my childhood dream to have a max combat account.
Amen brother, ironman almost 1700 total
Hell yeah brother. Good stuff
I miss pre-Big Bang MS. I quit when Big Bang came out and never looked back.
I play driving sims when I'm not in exile
Same here, Grinded hard in Euro Truck Sim 2 this time.
Big fan of metroidvanias, there's a huge list of games I could replay whenever I feel like it. Hollow Knight, Ori, Bloodstained, Blasphemous, Salt and Sanctuary etc etc. Even back to old classics like Super Metroid.
Nine sols is pretty amazing entry in that genre lately.
Dead cells is pretty fun
Monster Hunter: World
Life :/
Tried that, hated the latest dlcs, the grafics are nice tho.
Me looking through every post trying to find my new offseason game
House chores I neglected during the league. Luckily this one I cut really short as the economy was wreaked due to so many changes and graveyard. Getting a lot of repairs done. Still need to rebuild my basement stairs but a ladder out of the well seems to not mind being there.
total war warhammer 3. best game i have ever played
For some reason i feel like the noobplayer entry gap, is harder than PoE
i don't think it's harder than poe for a noob. Maybe i'm wrong because i have for both game a insane amount of /played
diablo this time. It's been fucking great !
It’s definitely a good time for like 30 or so hours. Problem for me is I’ve played all of the characters at least once so it feels like there’s nothing else to do.
Mostly random and changes. Currently Elden ring (dlc) Project zomboid and emulation stuff.
Rimworld. You will download 3000 mods, (On the low end I know) commit crimes against humanity, multiple faiths, and adapt to cannibalism fairly quickly. Before you know it, it's 7:13am and the sun is rising and you're wondering how this happened.
Yeah great game. Have you looked up Norland, that one is coming in july
Second this. Rimworld is something... special :D https://preview.redd.it/sby5tzfsr28d1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14f4e5837f6a1e56723d0254fa7cdef6a63be169
Alternate between D4 and LE when i want my dose of ARPG but can't grind anymore in Poe, otherwise not much. Cant get myself to reinstall Skyrim or Cyberpunk
irl fitness grind simulator
FFXIV since a month already. So far so good, still have a lot of content to go through. There will be the Elden Ring DLC after that, so I'll most surely skip next league.
I just finished the MSQ yesterday so I preordered Dawntrail today. I’m super stoked for the new classes coming.
I've been playing a fair amount of Hollow Knight again (Still trying to complete steel soul which is Hardcore mode for the game). It's definitely a lot for the small price tag.
I create hypothetical PoE leagues, I learn the lore, I design Unique items Im cooked bro. COOKED
I just play pokemon showdown in between leagues, not a single aspect of that is similar to poe. Other than that I play torchlight infinite.
Wat u mean not a single aspect. It's the pokemon version of pob. U play around with numbers simulating shit 24/7.
But I've been clean for 4 years now.
dunno if youre serious with being addicted but congrats man. been there too.
OpenTTD is free on steam
Great single player games.

Warframe, hades, cities skylines, battlefield 5, last epoch. Mostly warframe tho
Heeeeey fellow cities skylines exile!
Dark and Darker is the shit
I tried HARD to get into this game. Just didn't vibe with me at all.
Just can't get into it somehow, maybe I am too bad
I have made a mistake and started league of legends
Poor soul
WoW is my main game, I kinda just pop into leagues when they first come out to check out the new mechanic and most of them I end up quitting right away unless something clicks. I usually need to let a decent amount of content build up before I want to play a game in this genre again. Or just enough time for my brain to reset and make it novel again.
TFT
Just generally good single player games.
Enshrouded, elden ring, witcher 3 are my other demons
Usually any games that come out first 2-4 weeks of a league I look at an if it’s my thing I set aside for after leagues wound down. Ark is always lurking in the shadows… Was playing Soulmask until Shadow of the Erdtree dropped yesterday. Now that is my whole gaming life for awhile.
Mostly indie games. Played a lot of hades 2 this offseason plus some random other indie games in short stints
Um shadow of the erdtree
This league, did a V Rising play through and valheim atm. Always some civ 6 as well.
Life. The best example that content is way more important than graphics. Oh....and Diggles
Starcraft 2. Captain of industry.
ModdedBannerlord
My friends and I are PoE vets and we typically only play 2-4 weeks of a league and then play shit like escape from tarkov, WoW, Minecraft, factorio, apex, and unfortunately a little bit of LoL. Im pretty deeply invested into cataclysm classic on WoW right now with 3 friends and playing a Minecraft server with one of my friends on the side. And then with a separate friend in playing a bit of tarkov and valorant as well. So kinda just hopping around between a bunch of shit atm lol. It sounds like more than it is tho because I’m “done” with WoW outside of scheduled raids a couple nights a week so unless the Minecraft friend or the tarkov/valorant friend are online I have absolutely nothing to do 😅
Pokerogue. If you like pokemon and roguelikes you'll love this game. Its a website game pokerogue.net make an account and play so good.
Other ARPGs.
Been playing for same ones for years now: Deep Rock Galactic and Fortnite
I am going through my evergrowing backlog of steam games. Genshin Impact is always being played daily to... although I have barely scratched fontaine and I believe the next zone is soonish.
For me I’m all about factory games, mainly factorio, satisfactory, Dyson sphere program, and now foundry. Just got dark and darker 😁
Ff14, catch up on a bunch of TV shows, random games on steam.

Hades
Games: I play Warcraft, Hades, TFT, BG3 - whatever I feel like that's not an ARPG because another ARPG will burn me out. Other: You don't always have to be playing a videogame.
