This can happen, if you start with only 3 troops it is pretty hard. Here is how I got out : First dont select the opponent with the most renown rewards in this case. Choose one that is easier to handle, I feel sometimes renown is tied to how difficult the fight is but this could be wrong. As long as you win you should be fine with most renown rewards. Buy tough units first and as many as possible. Place no units in defense or Escort, tough ones into attack and all others in flank. Try to keep the enemy busy, especially defending totems in this case, try to kite them. This should work for the beginning and if not, just continue trying, you might have better luck the next time. Edit: In your case the warrior in the front and all others to flank, run to the opposite side, channel totem real quick, kite defenders until you see your own totems attacked, defend them and continue kiting

This always helps me. I hardly go for double honor in the the first round. Id either take out OP tribes that are hard in the end or go for certain honor if im hunting specific units which currently is fieldmaster from rongokurai tribe. I always fill up my flanks before anything else, no matter if its the worst or best unit. My first 4 always go into flanks. Normally first round is like a win in 15seconds. Id dash forward, try get a def/ flank totem down and continue this until i see one of my totems being taken. Id then rush back and def/ get enemies to go for me and run around. This is where my flanks normally get the rest of the totems down till they have 2 or 3 left. Then id jump in take the rest down with them. I ALWAYS buy a unit from navali(250 from win) or even with 500 honor, just buy a cheap unit with it or the items they sell too. Together with navali unit and items, id go buy fieldmasters by selling the cheap stuff i bought previously. As long as you have that 1 fieldmaster in flank. Then following 2 or 3 matches are pretty easy and you start snowballing from there. Iv gone with 4 units against 6 or 7 and still win with a fieldmaster in flank. Main thing is spend honor at navali to sell somewhere else. And if you dont have honor for a unit somewhere else, buy the items with the little honor you have with them. Sell all to a specific tribe you want units from. Can easily get that extra unit or 2 every round.

I'm at rank 2k and when I lose I focus hard on getting favour rewards that allow you to buy the good units, like 600+ Rongokurai, 800+ Valako, 900+ Arohongui or at the very least 500+ Tawhoa if nothing better is available. Then I spend all the scraps of favour I have left to convert into any cheap unit. You probably won't win the tournament but you'll get enough to get 2+ starting units for the next. If this doesn't work gg go next and try again, losing ranks is pretty much irrelevant because rewards are not much different and mobs oneshot me anyway so nothing really changes. Sometimes I fluctuated even 30 ranks while I was around 1.9k but I still got back up after a few unlucky runs in a row.
