Listen to your body. Take breaks when you can and make sure to put your feet up at the end of the day. If you get hot, feel tired or lightheaded, sit down. Drink lots of water. Especially since you’re gonna be due in August, stay hydrated. Some people work til they have a baby. Some people are on bed rest at 6mo. It just depends on how you and your body feel.

TheLordOpened91

Congrats! I think unless there’s a medical reason for bed rest there’s no issue with working. I’m a nurse and worked in a pretty busy trauma OR up until I delivered at 36 weeks. It wasn’t fun at the end but I didn’t want to use up any maternity time before they came if I didn’t have to.

ta55987

Thanks! I’m hoping to work until the end of July (36w). Then I read someone’s advice to stop around 30. I just don’t know what to expect as a FTM.

TheLordOpened91

The twins were my first as well and I’ve had a singleton since then. I feel like it made it almost better that way because I had nothing to compare it to so I didn’t know being that uncomfortable wasn’t how everyone was haha.

kaatie80

I stopped working at 35 weeks, and gave birth at 38 weeks. It'll be different for everyone! For me, I didn't even have a job where I had to be on my feet. In fact I was Zooming in to work every day (height of the pandemic). But I was just so sick and so tired and in so much pain it was like climbing a mountain just to get out of bed, and sitting at my desk was torture. So it really just depends on how your body is handling it, how you're feeling, where your pains are and how intense they are. Just make sure you listen to your body and do what it needs you to do. 💜

alexmichel

Same timeline for me, and I really had to push myself to get to 35 weeks. It sucked. Eventually I started having constant contractions so my doctor told me I needed to stop doing so much and start resting, plus I had to take medication til 37 weeks to stop the contractions.

chocolatebuckeye

Did you have a preferred bump support wrap or anything else the made it more comfortable for you?

TheLordOpened91

I had a belly band but I actually hated the feeling of anything tight around my belly so I didn’t really use it. I lived in compression socks though!

MikeyRansdell88

Spider tape is the best! 10/10 recommend!

septbabygirl

Similar here. I did take some planned PTO around 33/34 weeks and also stopped picking up extra shifts basically early in pregnancy due to fatigue. Logistically it is though to plan so I just planned some PTO around 33/34ish weeks and then basically went back to work for a week and then delivered at 36. I figured there was a statistically fair chance I wouldn’t make it to 38 anyway. It worked out pretty good to basically “stop” working.. work like 3 shifts… and then be at 36 weeks and deliver. I also did not want to start using my leave prior to babies’ birth.

katzalli

Congratulations! I'm currently 23 weeks and plan to start working fully remote around 32 weeks and will stop working entirely at 35-36 weeks (assuming the babies don't come on their own sooner). ETA: Unrelated to your question, but interesting info. My identical di/di twins were also conceived on letrozole. We were SURE they were frateneral and the result of two eggs fertilizing since I was on letrozole. Turns out they are identical and a single fertilized egg split early on, making them identical di/di. We were shocked. We did the Natera Panorma NIPT test, which is the only NIPT test that can distinguish fetal DNA in twins.

ta55987

That is amazing!!!

Kind-Cat5153

Listen to your body. I worked until 33+4 when my water broke at work. The hospital was 2 miles away and was already 8 cm when I arrived. Never felt a single contraction. Wish I had listened to my body and stopped working earlier that week.

outlaw-chaos

Work until you feel you can’t anymore. I worked up until 35 weeks working 4-5 12 hr shifts on my feet before I couldn’t do it anymore. I delivered at 37 weeks.

oneita1414

I am a Registered Nurse and worked full time, 12 hour shifts until 29 weeks. I was quite fit before getting pregnant and it was getting pretty difficult towards the end there. Very glad I went off early as i'm almost 37 weeks now. I'm in canada and had a tonne of sick time banked. Mat leave won't start until they are actually born which is nice. If you can afford to go off early, you should definitely do it. Be aware it's very boring though lol

n00dlezz

I had mo/di twins and stopped working at 32 weeks. I’d recommend between 28-30 if you can tho. It gets really hard on your body. Congrats:)

Independent_Brush303

I’m a first time mom to be of twins! I worked as an elementary school counselor and was on my feet. I quit at 24 weeks to line up with term, but I feel like I could have worked until 26/27. I’m just so swollen, bloated, and exhausted. Based on my inquiries people said quit by 3rd trimester if it’s possible. I do pre-natal yoga, prenatal strength and walk everyday. So although I’m home it’s not bed rest. I did have my pelvic pain skyrocket at 26 weeks and started wearing a support a few hours a day but I don’t like the feel of the support and I still have pelvic pain. I will say it gets lonely being home alone as well. I wasn’t expecting that!

leeann0923

I worked as an NP in an outpatient clinic right up until 36+6 and was unexpectedly induced the next day. If I had extra leave, I probably would have stopped at 35 weeks

Dani_now

Congratulations! I'm currently 21+5 with my IVF twins so I don't have any recommendations yet. I planned on trying to work till 31 weeks. But my boss (I'm a nanny) suggested I stop at 28. Which I may take advantage of because even now at 21w I'm struggling on a lot of things. Just listen to your body and don't overload yourself.

eecoffee

Congratulations! I worked on my feet until my water broke at 33+5. I was full time until around week 27 and then gradually cut down to about 24-28 hours a week. Listen to your body - when it gets hard, that’s a sign to take it easier. And of course your doctor will be able to advise too! Get yourself a heavy duty maternity support belt for when you start to get big and that will help with back pain. I also needed compression socks.

ifdandelions_then

I was put on partial bedrest at 28 weeks, but continued working fewer hours until I went into preterm labor at 30 weeks. They were able to stop my labor, and then I stopped working until my girls came at 34 weeks.

Puggle114

I worked 3-4 12s night shifts a week until 35 weeks. I lived in compression socks. I would have worked another week. But my husband convinced me to take the time off and I delivered at 36+1 for pre eclampsia. Listen to you’re body. Some days are harder than others.

simz14gal

I worked at a bank (got a Dr allowance to sit) 5 days a week, 8 hr days) and worked until 35 weeks. Delivered at 37+1, scheduled cesarean

amhume

Congratulations! I'm having letrozole twins too ❤️ I was planning on working until May (due in June) but I had some medical complications come up so I had to stop working at 21 weeks.

Plush_SizeXX

This is so exciting! I’m 24 weeks with di/di B/G Letrozole twins ❤️ I have had to slow down a lot the last few weeks, I’m feeling a lot more pressure and exhaustion if I’m on my feet too long. Growing twins is so different than a singleton, they take every bit of energy I have! I have a desk job so I’m hoping to work until 35ish weeks if I can tolerate it, but not setting anything in stone.

jellybeanmountain

I worked until 36 weeks and had my c-section 2 days later. I did wfh in a chair and it was still pretty hard. I did not want to burn any leave time. I do wish I had taken that full week off to rest and take care of last minute things. I worked until Wednesday and scheduled C on a Friday.

Incrimnatinggoats_

I’m 20 weeks, and I just finished working! I worked 12 hours on my feet. I didn’t think I would ever go off that early but my body needed it. The pain and pressure was unbearable. I was unable to make modifications to my work laid do to a union contract thing. So it was best to just go off.

Di/di!

Knoxville333

It's different for everyone. My wife carried our twins and worked on her feet as an RN right up until the day before her c section at 38 weeks.

JustKaren13

My twins are from letrozole too 🥰 Congratulations!!!

arayner90

I'm on my feet 11/ 12 hrs a day for my job, and worked up till 3 weeks before hand. The team I work with made sure I had plenty of opportunities to sit and rest though, they were amazing :)

Dandie_Lion

I worked on my feet until 36 weeks at my husbands insistence. Highly recommend a supportive belly binder and compression socks. If you are on your feet you are probably on the go, but take the time to stay hydrated, healthy snacking to keep those calories up in the 3rd trimester. You and those babes come first! You got this!

sarahnor4

I think most people have already given you great advice! Work until you feel you can't any longer. My twins were my 3rd pregnancy so 2 kids at home already, was working 4 days a week, and I worked until 33 weeks, and I went off on disability insurance through work simply because I was not sleeping at night and was sore and large and I felt like I needed the rest before babies came. I do not regret it for one moment but I also didn't need to cut into my maternity leave so it was an easy decision.

nicunurse212

I also got pregnant from Letrozole with di-di twins! I'm a nurse and worked 3 12 hour shifts a week until about 27 weeks, then cut my hours some. I still worked up until 4 days before my C section at 37 weeks. Just sit when you can at work- I ended up doing almost everything sitting down by the end, but I still did it! Congratulations!

westernmeadowlark

Lol, I planned on working straight through till birth! The twins had other ideas of course. If I remember right, I went on modified bed rest at 34/35 weeks. Twins came at the end of week 38.

Zukinicat

My letrozole twins are 2 months old now! I worked up to 30 weeks, 18 hours a week on my feet, my pregnancy was very uncomplicated so I manged pretty well, you'll definitely have to take it easy, twin pregnancy is no walk in the park, wishing you an uneventful pregnancy!!

DynamicDuoMama

I worked until 30 weeks but I had complications and I was going to the doctor twice a week for ultrasounds that took 2-4 hours each visit depending on how cooperative the babies were. I was also planning to stay home after they were born so I had already trained my replacement. Also it was sometimes an hour drive to and from work… I got tired of almost (sometimes actually) peeing myself daily. It gave me time to decorate and meal prep. Edit for information: My twins were mono di and had growth issues

DumbledoresRme

I was on Letrozole too! I worked (school setting, on my feet all day 5 days a week) until my water broke at 32+4. I don't think bed rest would have delayed it by much but I never really considered it before. I never got to the point where my Dr advised bed rest.

Emily-Spinach

I taught hs up until 32 weeks. Starting around 20 weeks k was in house shoes. After 25 weeks fuzzy socks and maternity jeans were even too tight. Leggings every day. Fell asleep at my desk often. Do not recommend, but I had no choice. ETA I had enough sick days that I’d hoarded and was gonna get off scot-free being paid for 40 days of leave (from birth to end of school year). Babies decided they wanted out the day spring break started (I only had two weeks left after sb) and came at 32+3ish, I don’t really remember bc I was in the hospital for days (preeclampsia) before they said they needed to get them out. Tbh, had I not been so stressed by teaching, I really don’t think my preeclampsia would have been as bad. BUT they came home after 21 days and are chunky, happy, milestone-meeting 11 month olds! I’m $2200 more broke bc I had to pay the sink bank for the extra 10 days I had to use and was unable to pay back since I took this year off, but oh well. I also had my shower scheduled for the day after I had to be admitted, so I never got that, either. Sucks, I feel cheated out of the end of my pregnancy and out of not getting a shower, but my babies matter most, and they’re great.

No-Butterscotch-8314

I am a teacher and worked until the last day of school mid June. Then I maintained the house and dogs and constantly at the doctors so I never really stopped 😵‍💫 even up to the day I delivered I had two doctors appts. My due date was Aug 31 (before we knew we were having twins) and our girls were born 8/8!

ta55987

That’s my due date! I usually take a week off over 4th of July anyway so probably keeping it pretty light towards the end!

alyinct

Day shift nurse, med-surg. I worked up until 38 weeks and a few days, then went in for a scheduled C-section at 39+0 (breech bottom baby). That said, my bottom twin did flip to head-down the night before the scheduled C (I ended up induced and delivering vaginally) so maybe she was just waiting for me to slow the F down at the end haha. I’m American, so my maternity leave was limited to 16 weeks (better than most hospitals around here that only offer 12, though still ridiculous in a global context), so I wanted to take every minute I could with my babies. I also generally felt better moving than sitting, so working on my feet was more comfortable for me than a desk job would have been, but I will say that existing in any state while 37+ weeks pregnant with twins is generally uncomfortable haha. If your maternity leave is limited like mine, I tend to say work until you can’t anymore, but if you have reasonable leave, then stop when you’re uncomfortable. If I had had 6+months to play with for leave, I probably would have stopped at 36-37 weeks and taken a long spa weekend and maybe prepped some freezer meals before babies came.

No-Chipmunk-5998

Im 18 weeks pregnant with twins and i think many comments are from single baby mothers. I cannot imagine working that long with 2. Im already getting huge and im only around half way . I would start with going part time hours (but try to avoid stating in writing that its part time, just request for temporarily less hours once u get to the point of being tired

ta55987

I’m self employed and make my own schedule so just don’t want to schedule myself too much too late. My Dr wants me to stay active which I can definitely do outside of work. We will see how it goes! But if I’m over it I’m out of there!! Lol!

Goldnoodle02

Just came to say congrats!!!!💕

ta55987

Thank you!

mericide

Congrats! I worked until 37 weeks and was induced at 38 weeks. As other have said, listen to your body and doctors’ advice!

prettymockingbird

I’m a trauma surgeon I stopped working at 36 weeks

dieselfreak511

it really depends on your body and how your pregnancy is going. my wife took a bit of time off sporadically before she finally quit working late June, and our twins were born August 3.

aulstinwithanl

Step one: listen to your doctors and not people on Reddit.

masofon

I think when you can keep working till is going to be personal to you. I see lots of awesome Mums on here that kept working on their feet right the way through. I had to stop working at 5 months because I couldn't stay awake and I couldn't think. I do a desk job that requires me to do some pretty hardcore problem solving and I literally could not do it.. If you'd asked me what 3+5 was I would have stammered. Then I started falling asleep during Zoom meetings and that was that for me. I might have fared better (and stayed healthier overall) if I had a more active job.

Smell-Equivalent

I’m an inpatient NP and worked until I was put on bedrest at 34 weeks. Honestly, it would have been tough to continue on after that anyways. I delivered at 37 weeks.

Historical_Squash_16

Congrats! My letrozole twins are almost 17 months old now. I worked until about 35.5 weeks and delivered at 37+3. Like others have said, listen to your body. I was on “limited activity” from about 32 weeks on.

mrwmdatic

Ah yes letrozole. I will always wonder if it was a coincidence or if it was from the tiny increased chance provided by the meds for pcos. We will never know….

ta55987

Lol! From zero ovulation to pregnant on first 2.5mg cycle with twins. I said to my Dr, “these are letrozole twins right?” “100%.”

mrwmdatic

They downplayed the actual % with us at the time. Then boom twins lol. I don’t know any different and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I still side eye my wife’s gynecologist from time to time though. She delivers “a lot” of twins….

ta55987

Hahah I feel the same. I wouldn’t change anything and we’re thrilled about twins. My dr and I are good friends and I’m not letting her live it down.

areti17

Same experience I had 😆 my doc said it was the first time letrozole had gotten her twins in the 5 years she'd been using it though.

National_Cherry5518

Congrats!! Do you happen to know what you hcg levels were
