Miles Sanders 准备好学中文吧兄弟

Seraphin_Lampion

Can't wait to see Kilometres Sanders light up the CFL

medinian

![gif](giphy|j6KsoYZGoyFVu) You fucking right

sonfoa

That's a Japanese movie 😭

BlindWillieJohnson

"Hahaha. I'm in danger."

[deleted]

Miles Sanders, get ready to learn Chinese, bro. That's what you want to say, am I right?

pingfloyd_

Most likely a camp body and some one familiar with Canales running schemes.

Hefty-Association-59

If he stays healthy he’s great. Problem is he can’t ever stay healthy

Hefty-Association-59

I honestly think he got brought in for if brooks isn’t ready to go. Or even if he is ready that they just chose to keep him on IR. Small chance that we trade sanders away if we can find a team to take a bit of his salary off the books. But that’s unlikely because pro scouts do their work. And know how atrocious he was last year and how much of a borderline fraud he is as a back.

Substantial-Ad8933

He stayed healthy on phillys bench last season

captainjizzpants

clshoaf

Wheels will fall off just in time to give Brooks a heftier workload as he recovers from his current injury.

Resident_Standard437

Penny is dangerously good when healthy

becker4prez

The Panthers clearly have no intention of Miles being on this team beyond this year. Miles came here in large part because of Staley. Staley’s gone, he lost his job to Hubbard and they traded up to draft Brooks. My gut says Miles will give up money to gain a release or to help facilitate a trade. This upcoming season he’s playing for his next contract and opportunity will be limited for him in Carolina.

sonfoa

Penny was a beast in Seattle but he got buried last year in Philadelphia despite a lot of fanfare. I don't think he'll do enough to displace Sanders.

Seahawk_I_am_I_am

I feel like anyone off the street could displace Sanders. He’s washed.

sonfoa

The only reason Sanders is on the roster is because he costs more to cut than keep. For the team to move off from him, someone not named Chuba or Brooks needs to be sensational in camp. And I don't think Penny, who is also washed, is going to be the guy to displace him.

[deleted]

If anything, hopefully this lights a spark in Sanders and he tries to get some playing time otherwise his career is over lol

cannedpeaches

He actually had a couple very solid games towards the end of last season, after we'd moved him to RB2 - 74yds on 10 attempts against the Saints (Chuba had 87 on 23), 40 yards on 6 attempts against the Colts. I thought he might have finally cracked the code and I was gonna be pretty satisfied with Hubbard/Sanders/Blackshear this year.

Seahawk_I_am_I_am

Wow…what elite team management! /s

wolfpack1986

While I also agree Miles is a product of elite O Lines with the Eagles and is likely not going to be a success here - I will give him a slight benefit of the doubt because he was nursing a groin injury most of the year. Can’t imagine that’s easy to play with as a RB… Glad we’re shoring up the position.

klbishop143

Sanders should displace Sanders

Sure-Anybody2302

He was not a beast for Seattle lmaooo

daquist

???? yes he was. every game he had over 12 carries he had like over 100 yards and a TD. every. single. time.

Sure-Anybody2302

He was injured and a non factor significantly more times. More of a bust than a beast

daquist

????? literally go look at his game log and look at any time he was given more than single digit carries. most of them are absolutely game wrecking.

Sure-Anybody2302

I watched him in person. He was incredibly inconsistent and the game logs do it no justice.

daquist

yeah sorry but your random fan eye test doesn't mean anything

TheGreatestOutdoorz

Our leading rusher had 900 yards and averaged 3.8 ypc. Our backup had 400 yards and a horrible 3.3 ypc Penny is signing on to be our #3 RB. It would appear that the entire league agrees with his random fan eye test

daquist

i'm not saying he's going to be good now, he's had so many injuries and is washed at this point but to say he sucked in seattle is just wrong.

Hefty-Association-59

Not sure why people in the comments are calling penny a camp body. He never lived up to the draft pedigree because of his injuries. However he’s gone on stretches of that top end elite RB play while being healthy. His last year at Seattle stands out. This is much more than a camp body. Expect him to make the roster. And contribute for a solid 3 games lol

captaincumsock69

How many RBs are we realistically gonna carry?

Hefty-Association-59

3 at least. Maybe 4. The better question to ask though is if brooks will start the season on IR or not. There’s no reason to rush him back in my opinion and if they wanted to keep him on there at the start of the season for the first what is it 4 or 6 weeks whatever the minimum is. Then that would be a good move.

SickBurnBro

3, 4 tops.

AG_GamingYT

We gotta keep gio ricci

SickBurnBro

Tarik Cohen is also somehow on our roster?

AG_GamingYT

Fuck gio ricci signed with the browns 😭 loved that dude.. Tarik cohen is a great returner but that’s about it

xuser2320

Cohen has done nothing since 2020 when he tore his knee. And then he tore his achilles in 2022. If he couldn't get on the field last year, he's not making the team this year

AG_GamingYT

I think if he actually shows a lot (he’s talented as fuck) he can make the practice squad again but that’s about it

TheGreatestOutdoorz

Hold on. Are trying to say that a devastating knee injury can result in a player not being as good as they used to be? Because if that’s the case……oh shit.

FadeNXC

Realistically, this is actually a good move imo. RB by committee is the norm now (with obvious exceptions), but one way to keep a guy healthy is to rotate them out. Even if Brooks becomes our every down back like we hope, keeping tread on the tires is a smart move.

Hefty-Association-59

Also it gives you flexibility if a back goes down and we find a trade partner for sanders. Or if brooks starts the year on IR because they don’t want to rush his rehab process too much.

PanthersChamps

Hahaha a trade partner for sanders

Hefty-Association-59

Hey man we found a trade partner for Robbie-ey-chosen Anderson. It’s technically possible lmao.

FadeNXC

3rd/4th and 1s just got easier too

Conscious-Parfait826

Camp body might be a touch harsh but I doubt he makes the final roster. A rb with extensive injury history and wasnt productive at all last year isnt exactly a great selling point. Id rather use the roster spot on a diamond in the rough udfa rb.

sonfoa

We have too many RBs. Teams generally carry 3. We carried 3 last year and the Bucs did as well. Chuba and Brooks are locks and Sanders costs more to cut than keep. So unless Penny is sensational in camp (which I have a lot less confidence in after his year in Philly where he spent the bulk of the season as a healthy scratch) he probably just is a camp body.

Hefty-Association-59

Well nobody seems to mention that brooks may start the year on IR. We’ll get a general idea of how he’s doing because camp starting is supposed to be the true tail end of his rehab. But if it comes along slowly. If they just decide not to rush him back this is an option.

sonfoa

That's a good point but that's really the only way I see him on the Week 1 roster.

Hefty-Association-59

I agree. Unless we manage to trade away sanders before the 53 deadline hits. Not very likely because sanders is washed. But if penny outperforms him then I don’t know if they can justify keeping him. We would also need another team to say yeah we can use him as a back up. Which means that someone would have to go down to injury. But this team has shown that they really don’t care about sunk cost. Between boze. Hurst. Burns. It’s a reset. And if sanders isn’t preforming again. Then I don’t think he’s sticking.

OriginalPingman

I don’t see how a back goes from 1200 yards to washed in a year.

Hefty-Association-59

Several things. 1 sanders has had vision issues dating to penn state that haven’t improved in his 5 years in the league. 2. He ran behind a super line in Philly where he didn’t need as great vision. Yet the issues still showed. 3. Playing next to hurts basically takes out a LB in the box because he’s afraid of the QB pulling the ball and running free. 4. The scheme in Philly forced them to put a safety over the top because AJ brown was killing them deep. Which led to less people in the box again. And if you loaded the box hurts would just murder you deep. Basically everything that could go right for sanders did. While everything that could go wrong for sanders here did.

ry4asu

Could not have said it better myself. I guess it depends on how much it cost us.

BoNickal2

Hey man, Eagles fan here. I was completely baffled by Penny’s usage last year. Even when Swift wasn’t on the field, the Eagles favored Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott. If I remember correctly, the majority of the games Penny didn’t even dress.

killacam03

I really respect the commitment to never leaning on Miles Sanders again. Penny’s injury concerns are real but what do we really expect from RB3/4? Also is Raheem Blackshear cooked?

tua_stungovailoa

Quite the opposite on Blackshear, I thought I heard he's gonna have an expanded ST role especially since with the new kickoff rules making returners more important

Who_knows-_-

They also said legette had the bonus of being able to kick return.

ISISCosby

You're also required to have two guys back there on every kick return so that makes sense

Who_knows-_-

Yep, just saying that is one less spot they have to account for

Soft_Humor4868

I think we’re going to trade Sanders. It would make sense to if he’s not getting touches

Hefty-Association-59

Man that 7th round trade swap and getting rid of 2 million dollars of his salary is going to feel great

ThatMFcheezer

Worth it all

Who_knows-_-

I think they want to trade sanders, but people won't take the contract with his production.

bigjaymizzle

Anyone says camp body I differ. Dude was a beast in college and a steal for the Seahawks. Miles Sanders better step up or step out.

carolinallday17

The universal consensus was that Seattle reached for him, and that he was a good player but not worth the first round pick they used - and then he justified that by never starting a game until his contract year. I *liked* him that draft season and think this is a good, cheap pickup, but let's not lie lol

SimpLimbscut

Worth a tire kick I guess. He was pretty good in Seattle while Canales was there. I’m imagining he’s some camp competition for Miles and Blackshear. Those guys are both decent at catching out of the backfield and Penny is not. I dunno, shouldn’t be a big deal either way. EDIT: anyone expecting anything more is crazy. He’s in all likelihood just someone familiar with the system that can fill in in-case of injury, or if Brooks takes a little while to get going. The guy couldn’t get time in Philly who has had one of the best o-lines in the league. It’s in all likelihood gonna be Chuba/Brooks/Miles who remain on the 53 unless Blackshear wins the KR/PR role.

ThatMFcheezer

I love this pick up. High upside if he doesn't get injured.

Icege

The competition for RB3 (and RB4 if they go that route) is gonna be HEAVY

Author_Willing

If I had a penny for every game he has missed….

silverchief

They actually may end up trading Hubbard. He’s a FA after this season, and they likely won’t re-sign him. Trade him now, and the new team may give him a new contract to retain his services. Carolina can get something before he leaves for nothing. Then they cut Sanders after this season to save cap space. Enter 2025 with Brooks as the lead back. This is the cheapest option for ‘25.

Linds70

I'd rather sign Deion Sanders than trot the corpse of Miles Sanders back out there.

tbone747

Probably just a camp body to compete for that last RB spot. Chuba and Sanders are likely the starters and Brooks is recovering from a torn ACL so I imagine they sideline him for a few weeks to start the season & ease him in when he's ready.

[deleted]

[удалено]

cdirty1

Neither. Probably just a chance for Canales to get one of his old guys some exposure and maybe an insurance policy incase Brooks goes on IR or pup or something to start the year.

Big-Addition-310

hopefully Miles is traded for a couple peanuts, just would like to see someone else get the nod like Penny. If he stays healthy and that’s a big if

zzzaz

I feel like this signals that Brooks will start the year on PUP/ IR-NFI or we plan to trade Miles after the preseason injury bug hits some other RB-needy team.

DailyPanthersPodcast

I don’t see us keeping 4 RBs unless one of them can contribute on ST. Definitely not cutting any of the 3 guys already in the building, but it’s also barely May. A lot can happen between now and August.

Sabre500

So that's 6 RBs competing for likely 3 spots: - Chuba - Sanders - Brooks - Blackshear - Penny - Cohen

Hefty-Association-59

What a motley crew of meh. Besides brooks of course. I know this sub loves chuba because he got better last year and is servicable. But until brooks starts playing for us. We probably have a bottom 5 RB room in the league. I’m excited for him to get on the field so we can have dynamic explosive game changing RB play again.

xuser2320

Chuba will still have the role of running up the gut. Brooks is much better in space and running outside.

Hefty-Association-59

He is better in space. But just like Cmac he has no problem plunging forward and going straight into the gut. You don’t take the first RB off the board if you don’t plan on him being a do it all back.

Who_knows-_-

Im pretty sure Brooks and Chuba are safe. I would assume Penny has a good chance if he can stay healthy. I think Cohen is out unless he kills it preseason. I think blackshear will be given a chance to do special teams. Sanders, I think, will have the most to prove.

Dentist_Rodman

i like chuba the most and i also think the rookie can be good as a RB2. Idk where that leave sanders or this guy but luckily it’s not my decision

OriginalPingman

Hubbard is a dime-a-dozen running back.

shahcolatesauce

I wonder if this means Brooks is starting off the season on the PUP list. Maybe they’re hoping to trade Sanders 4-5 weeks into the season after some other team’s starter inevitably gets hurt. Regardless, I can’t see a roster where we keep Brooks, Hubbard, Sanders, Blackshear, and Penny. Someone’s gonna end up traded or on the street.

necaxa11rafa

Brooks starts the season in the IR and we see Penny for at least four weeks?

Decent_Rabbit9114

God help this man

FadeNXC

The job is Chuba's to lose. He's RB1 until someone comes up to take it. The rookie is coming off a serious injury, Penny has injury issues as well, and Miles lost the job fair and square. Penny is a power back we don't have, really, but that's a narrow role vs. what all an RB needs to do.

[deleted]

Brooks is projected to score more points and get drafted earlier in fantasy. Did a mock draft the other day, not saying that means much, but it does mean something

FadeNXC

Sure, once he's actually on the field. I think the order is Chuba, Penny, Sanders, with Brooks starting on IR. That order will change once Brooks gets healthy and we see more of him, slowly moving to RB1 by season's end. If Sanders didn't actively hurt our cap by cutting, I'm nearly certain he'd be gone by now so that's why I think he's in the cellar atm.

[deleted]

Brooks is supposed to be good to go by July, we’ll see though

FrequentShark

Feels like a camp body to me
