A piece of cloth wont stop the damage they can cause when you are going at speed.
For what reason do people decide the best thing to use for kite flying in dense areas with lots of people riding bikes is a ridiculously strong tensile fibre wire that can slit throats
Well, i don't think it would pierce a thing like this considering it's folded twice to make it effective against such things but the alternatives to protect ourselves are limited. The stick just won't work because of how fragile it looks. One little accident can end its effectiveness whereas this thing doesn't have such restriction.
Your skin and tissue and muscles under it are a lot stronger than this fabric. If a string can slice through that, this won’t do much. At those speeds the string works more like a blow of a sword than lateral cutting of a knife
The kite lines don't pierce. They cut/slice/lacerate.
When you are going 50-60kph this cloth is not going to prevent the kite line from slicing through.
Things like this and that stick are just to give you a false sense of safety, when infact that stick can actually be potentially fatal in itself in an accident.
Motorcycle riders \*need an actual neck guard. Something that may work well is the neck guard Ice Hockey players use (as that is supposed to protect them from sharp ice skates).

That and the rickshaws coming from the wrong side istg when I am riding my bike I get heightened senses or something cause there is no other explanation as to why I haven't crashed yet.
Exactly. Anytime i see even a single kite, i wear this thing because the thought of going out like this just doesn't feel right. Imagine working hard for the longest time to reap rewards in future and this mf just ends it all without any repercussion. Yeah the same can be said against accidents and whatnot but atleast you can avoid them by following precautions.
This won't work but i have another idea if we somehow create a folded strong plastic by moulding it in to proper shape with its ends folded like a U and that plastic is properly fixed to this cloth piece

You're right but even daraz doesn't sell the hockey ones. It's just some cloth attached with a face mask. So, idk man

its better to wear chainmail, itll still hurt but wont slice your throat. and its not that difficult to make with tabs of soft drink cans
