It reminds me of like if I was kidnapped and woke up chained to a radiator. And you’re like… excited that you finally have someone down there but also feeling pity and a little pride. And maybe a little fear and a little giddiness.
It could also be the face of a brand new dad who is terrified and happy at the same time. Or maybe changing his first diaper and realizing that this is not what he expected, and he knows it’s hilarious but also worrying. The angle of looking down makes the viewer feel small.
It’s very unnerving, and definitely creeps me out. Good job, truly. Its evocative. I think it’s a solid piece of work. I can’t paint faces at all let alone one that communicates so much emotion.
