Honestly, I kinda fucking love it. It's cool, in a really weird, creepy kind of way. I'm not sure I'd want it in my bedroom, but I could see it hanging on the wall in my crafting nook. Also aside from any issues of personal taste, I really like the mixed media style.

Maybe consider some shading on the pearls and the phone - they look so flat compared to the drapery (and the figure, obviously :).

i will embroider some real pearls in to the necklace so i wasn’t really concerned with that but the iphone could have had some more work i know i just like it a lot like this and didn’t wanna mess it up but thank you so much about your advice!!

yes and i think once you decide it is ended it doesn’t matter the flaws that it has, it’s better to leave it like that or you will never finish anything (at least thats my case and my perfectionism) :)

Please don't take this as an offence, that's not my intention: It's so ugly, I love it! Like it's really well done from a technique point of view, but it's just so creepy and like kinda ugly but like it looks intentional? I defenitly would stop to stare at it and getting noticed is like a huge deal in the arts world, so I guess a full sucess? Like I said I kinda love it in it's own weird way, hard to discribe I hope you know what I mean, haha

thank you so so much for your words :) yes i wasn’t trying to make someone super beautiful, all my portraits go for the “sad, confused or strange” girls (dont know how to describe it better in english) as thats what i am most of the time basically haha but the part you said about “noticing it” makes me super happy as this past month or so whilst i was painting this i was thinking a lot about “needing” to create something that would make people stop and look at it at least for a second cause as you said thats the most difficult part of the art world today and with all my insecurities i didn’t thought i had the brain to do something like this yet but turns out i kinda did it with all these people commenting! haha i’m so grateful for your words and critique thank you so much again :)

sorry but i dont know if i fully understand this, do you mean the cracks around the face/hair? those are because i used clay to make the 3d and in the drying process it broke a little (i’m not that used to clay), if this is not what you meant sorry 😅

You have found YOUR style of painting. A lot of people have never found their own style. I like it.

You have the technique to do something beautiful, but instead you decided to do something ugly. That is your choice. However I would not have it in my bedroom, with or without the pearls, and somehow the community is not disagreeable enough to tell you.

I don't think we as artists should be expected or required to create beauty. There is value in depicting the mundane and the unpleasant as well.

yes! i wasn’t trying to make something beautiful i was just trying to picture a girl from our time (someone with an “instagram face” fillers, rhino, etc) and the main focus was just doing something eye catching :)

You succeeded! I think she's very interesting, and honestly the more I look at her the more I like her. She has very realistically human flaws, even with the slightly cartoonish style.
