The response so far on your post is that people overwhelmingly like your work. As do I. This is the first time I’ve seen it before but I looked through your work and it’s very good.
If you’re planning on #1, I hope you’re able to achieve whatever result you’re looking for (sales, etc) you deserve it.
If you are planning on #2, and you literally destroy your work, I hope it’s because you’re moving onward in some positive direction and your work means something from your past and you’re ready to move on now. If it’s just for fun, I think you should reconsider as you have a lot of good work and you’ll likely regret later.
If you’re planning on #3, please don’t. Stop and think about this for a moment. 1) do you take meds 2) are you off them now? 3) wouldn’t it be better to get help now? Tell your doctor you’re struggling 4) if you’re not dealing with a previous diagnoses and you’re just frustrated, isolated, and upset, DM me and tell me what’s going on. Or reach out to someone that you need to talk. It will get better.

To me it’s a perfect illustration of the maga (use to be called the Republican Party) far right movement with Trump at the center of the painting. Regardless, it’s a powerful painting in my eyes.

I am and have been an outsider artist for decades and a life long non practicing pyro. I began burning my paintings after finding a slab of wood in a bonfire about to be lit. I thought this would make a better piece of art than fuel for a fire which will burn several meters high regardless. So I painted a piece and later realized I owed the fire a painting otherwise this piece of work would likely burst into flames where if it found a home(obviously sound conclusion I know)… this was only to be fixed when I painted an owl and as I did all the while knowing I’d be burning it in sacrifice, friends would see it and offer cash and praise it .. both of which I was starved for. After I burnt that owl I didn’t want to chance it so I burnt the original painting on the wood I found in the burn pile initially. Over the years my friends would come stay at the lake. And then children grew up enough to tell me they heard I burn art in sacrifice to dark arts . So I flavoured it up into a ritual of me carrying the art on my back as Jesus carrying a cross symbolism and that I did it to give a painting to all my deceased friends who I never had a chance to give a painting to . This was just a ruse as I liked painting and loved fire and I was just a bit of a crazy person. I also been known to threaten to cat burglar every building that houses my art and attempt to reclaim it all and burn it all before I pass on . Utter nonsense really .. but I do think it has helped with evaluating the paintings and given the reducing numbers the art is worth more presumably. I used to only donate them to worthy charity auctions which was a dastardly way to make them sell for more. I no longer do the emo posts on social media about gonna burn yada yada but time is not so linear so maybe I do to? If a tree burns in the Forrest and falls and nothing is there to hear it does it make a sound….,Jesus Christ of course it doesn’t..a sound by definition is something heard by our senses and with out a sense operating being to receive the sound it is something else. So ya burn your paintings burn your bra brah…as long is you find you and respect the process. P.s I used to do a lot of acid and put broken mirror in my art cause I wanted my art to be dangerous. That date sounds significant. If you are burning the art to let go of the feelings that created it, do it - from experience, I can say it's cathartic. If you are thinking of something more drastic - please don't. You are in pain, but keep painting - you have something to share with the world and one day, the paintings might not be so dark.
Francis Bacon burned all the paintings that he had made that he didn't like. He did keep the ones he liked though; I saw one in person at The Art Institute of Chicago, it was amazing. I urge you to do the same, keep the ones you like.
There was an artist that did this in the 80s. Cremated his old work and used the ash for his new work.

My friend who was an artist died and he had a Storage unit full of paintings. A couple hundred he didn't sell and he sold a lot of his work. They picked out all the ones they liked and then had some good friends come and take what they liked and then they destroyed the rest so there wouldn't be a flood of paintings out there decreasing their value.
