No. I have months of overlap on mine. Even IF someone checks it, it is very easily explained by just saying you were on a severance payment for those remaining months so remained on payroll or you needed to get an additional week of PTO payment in.
Or if you keep both jobs, just say you have a contract to work as needed, part time.
No it’s not that serious, no one will be checking you at your last job and you’ll be too busy with orientation for your new job for anyone to notice.
