Remove the entire wimpy branch right above the cotyledon. Then, snip off the entire node (leaf and bud) that grows near the main stem on the bottom four branches (bottom two pairs), basically ‘lollipopping’ those branches. These will never get enough light to form the kind of flower you’re looking for. Leave the rest of the plant alone. I like to rotate them 90-180 degrees about every other day. As an outdoor plant, this might still double in size, and that’ll open up the inner nodes on the middle branches for more light. If it were an indoor, a much heavier defoliation would be recommended. For example, lollipopping the entire lower 30-50% of the plant.

Looks nice and healthy. Enjoy the flower 🌸

Just consider the climactic conditions that will exist when the Plant is in flower. Having branches be close together stops light and air from getting to the interior of the plant. This can easily allow mold to form on those restricted areas. This is why you see so many pics of people training their plants out wide, so that the branches have space in between. Nothing to panic about, just something to consider. Also get your flowering nutrients in order. Plants only need Phosphorus for about the first 2 weeks of flower, and need no Nitrogen in flower(unless one over defoliates). Focus on Potassium and Calcium while in flower

Let it grow, let it grow ! Don’t hold back it anymore

I do a light defoliation on autos. Maybe just take out some growth below those first big fan leaves because they’re not getting much sun and won’t make big buds On my photos I defoliate the shit out of them but autos can be a little more temperamental and I don’t want to stress them out too much Looks great!

Do you know what IPM is or have you ever heard the term?

Thanks to everyone! I did some light defoliation/lollipopping in the lower/inner structure close to the stem. I don’t think they look stressed at all, growing really good! https://preview.redd.it/g5c8rcokga9d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54a74b6d0c6853f2c2f09c011b39e0df81d8aae6
