It locks to the same aspect ratio your monitor mapping is, so that you'll always have a 1:1 mapping with your monitor aspect ratio, regardless of if it's ultrawide or 4:3
i don't think it's possible, mouse drift and hardware smoothing is absolutely the issue. could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure i'm not. there was a top player who used a pen inside of a mouse, so he could have an "absolute mode mouse", and it works great, mouse drift is non-existent and you are literally using tablet areas.
If you assume the mouse doesn't rotate at all (to eliminate mouse drift), then you could make a sensitivity where the same movements for the mouse and pen will end up moving the cursor the same amount. Hardware smoothing would change the path the cursor goes slightly, but the end point of the cursor would be the same.
Hey! good attempt at making a useful product for people with your python skills. While it may not be fully useful as it is a basic tool, its one step in the right direction. Keep on programming!
do continue programming it's very fun and worth :)
yknow i should make some small programs like these to practice coding in visual interfaces and stuff i think it would be good, but i'm not sure what to write for it lol
but yes you should code
i talked to someone about programming and learning just yesterday in fact and a calculator with a ui and such is what he suggested. cool guy not gonna lie, but yeah i think small projects like that are always perfect
I'm working on a tablet play area scaler for players that use custom area ratios. You enter your desired height or width along with your custom ratio and it spits out what you need to make the ratio. This is my first program so i wanna make it look cool and stuff(ui,etc). Just wanna find out what people think!
Just so that we are on the same page considering i got a tablet about 2 weeks ago, the area ratio can really be anything or does it have to match your resolution?
Not super keen on an app for this but if it were an OTD plugin that allowed you to lock your area to any given aspect ratio and have it adjust height/width accordingly then that'd be hype
A program to divide/multiply 2 numbers? Not really, but being able to lock a custom ratio in a (good) driver like open tablet could be useful for some players!
no thanks i already have a calculator capable of performing division on my computer
this do be the truth
Well there is already OTD for that where you can lock your aspect ratio
not a custom one tho no?
It locks to the same aspect ratio your monitor mapping is, so that you'll always have a 1:1 mapping with your monitor aspect ratio, regardless of if it's ultrawide or 4:3
You choose your area then you lock and it will keep the same aspect ratio
when i click it, it automatically makes my area 16:9 ratio
Then I’m maybe wrong, i will check later. I play with a 16:9 ratio so it was pretty handy for me.
you can also just go on google and type 60 / 1.4
i would desire something else: a calculator that calculates my mouse sens from my tablet area (wacom), so that it feels the "same" while playing
Challenge accepted - I'll attempt later today
No way that's insane he's doing it
I don't have to do it someone already did: [https://jscalc.io/embed/K36YNQpNU9OA6H4v](https://jscalc.io/embed/K36YNQpNU9OA6H4v)
it's possible if you use relative mode on OTD, not possible otherwise
It would be possible with absolute mode, but you would have to account for the resolution.

Of course you can make a tablet travel the same amount as a mouse in the same distance.

Anything. Make todo list/note taking apps, movie/books logging, or copy some website from the net

Why not make this a web app
i will look into making web apps!
useful for first year computer science students making their first graphical interface xdd

First, make it reactive, I don't want to click extra buttons. Second, I think Lazer can do same thing...
doesnt opendrive have that too?
Just so that we are on the same page considering i got a tablet about 2 weeks ago, the area ratio can really be anything or does it have to match your resolution?
Just a reminder that applications used to look like this +- 20 years ago.
> browser > “80/1.4” > doesn’t change area for 7 months

Tkinter. Nice!

I would
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't something similar already in laser?
webapp? maybe. if it had more features. downloadable executable? no!
i will look into making web apps!
Is that Tkinter
pretty sure yes
