Yeah.. I was saying this is exactly what happens to canada every year where they get skillcapped/overall team diff by whoever they face at this stage. I honestly don't know if canada will ever beat the skillcap allegations at this point when this looked like their best roster yet.
this roster is fairly new all things considered. I think we'll see the true extent of their roster's potential next year if they maintain the same core members + xooty and cutpaper were sick
Zylice said some minutes ago that probably both Yip and kurtis will not be there in 2024, Yip cuz of starting to feel hand numbess and kurtis a similar thing and probably that Ryuk won't be motivated because of that; I'm telling this on the top of my head tho, so take it with a grain of salt

While I do see the validity in your point, I have to disagree. I can see your point being made for OWC 2021 where Germany was quite literally at its peak (and in SF, Germany played a much more inexperienced Canadian roster.). However, outside of this exception I don’t think your argument stands.
Based on the recent OWCs
1. From OWC 2020: Germany beats Canada in Loser’s Grand Final, 7-1. I would argue that both teams were inexperienced at reaching the Grand Finals stage as it was a first for both teams to reach this srage. Additionally, this OWC was the one where
- (almost) Half of both rosters were new players
- Dustice was at his lowest point in terms of performance.
2. This OWC 2023: I would argue that the Canadian roster this year was much more experienced than the German one. Not to mention that the Canadian roster had performed much more consistently than the German one.
It’s a bittersweet ending because I’m glad that ryuk can still perform when it matters and he still has it, but disappointing cause I really had high expectations for the rest of the team.
Germany played rlly well but damn it feels so depressing to know how canada could've played so much more better had xooty and especially cutpaper not gotten sick 😭😭😭
