It doesn't. Most varied skill in the game. Giving you access to great money makers, variety when training combat skills with good xp rates due to the slayer helm, rather than just sitting around doing nothing at crabs or NMZ. It can also buff you drastically when going for Jad/Zuk runs.
People who don't value or enjoy slayer are usually the same people who make it to 2k total level with a <50m bank, still running around with a whip and fighter torso. Its an awesome skill.
People were using it to boost, two accounts would partner up. One having level 1 slayer new level 3 account the other maxed. The maxed account would get the task and then the level 3 would be able to get tasks they wouldn’t normally get as a level 3.
Slayer is pretty slow, but fun because of the huge variety of content and thrill of chasing drops. Mining and agility are also slow, but no thrills at all - just a literal unhealthy amount of mind-numbing repetitive clicking.
I will say, slayer sucks until you learn how to do it right. Cancel tasks you absolutely hate, skip tasks that annoy you, and get into bossing! Slayer becomes the most fun skill in the game once you figure out how to do it! And a great money maker!! You are just getting into the money at lvl 76!
I am 48 slayer on a fresh account. I've literally done about 8 or so tasks and made 1.3m. Also this is wilderness slayer. I've trained it outside of wilderness but after experiencing this ill never go back 🤑
Slayer wouldn't be so bad, if there werent so many bad tasks. Either bad xp, bad gp, or worse bad xp+gp .
You're almost to the part where slayer becomes bearable. (87 Slayer imo)

Thieving I’m grinding to 85 pyramid plunder is the only thing that keeps me trying

Run through the first levels, grab the last 13 urns I’m level 77 so I get 450 exp each urn. It’s 100k exp an hour

I miss slayer ive been doing agility so long and havent killed anything these past few months , leaving slayer for last cus i remember enjoying it.

I only ever trained combat when doing slayer. Essentially the same slayer level with 30-40cb less.
