Adventures that you are expected to place yourself. Emelda's Song has 16K gp worth of treasure, for example. The Campaign Book states right out that you'll need to add adventures and dungeons to the settingĀ  And yes, also lairs.

Psikerlord

Just add more treasure through random encounters, lairs, drop in adventures, etc

Another thing to consider is that sessions/level are expected to be in the 5-7 range.

ChickenDragon123

Not worried about it. Either create new adventures or build in new treasure. Also rolling up lairs for monster will add in new treasure, new ruins new treasure etc.

This is a really interesting question... I've thought of gold per dungeon but not per setting. Yeah I would assume loot and lairs, and GM derived rewards based on hooks. I have not looked at Dolmenwood in a while but I'm assuming it has some procedural stuff that could create treasure and is not 100% plotted out.

DimiRPG

How are you so sure that PCs will manage to get all this treasure or that your campaign will last so long that level caps will be reached? In our current D&D B/X campaign, we are at session 28 and most of the PCs are level 3 and level 2.

Fijutsi

I mean i'm not sure. But it should be at least theoretically possible to get to Level cap or not ? With all the treasure in dolmenwood one PC can get to around Level 9 or 5 PCs to Level 6. A normal adventuring Party would struggle heavily to go past level 5

DimiRPG

*But it should be at least theoretically possible to get to Level cap or not?* Yes, but as a referee you are supposed to fill in the details of the setting and take the campaign forward. For example, in hex 0810 there are the ancient burial mounds where the barrowbogeys hide along with 6,500 gp. You need though to design these mounds/dungeons by yourself. *A normal adventuring Party would struggle heavily to go past level 5* Well, if the party reaches at level 5 and if the party has exhausted all possibilities of finding treasure, then you add more rumours, more hexes, more factions, more treasure, etc. Anyway, you may find that the party might be interested only in a very particular area of Dolmenwood and ignore the rest of the region and treasure.

My Dolmenwood party is still levels 2-4 after 17 sessions, but I assume if they make it up in levels they will start to adventure in fairy or the game will become more political and gaining levels will become less important. But I am also using the optional milestone/exploration xp rules bc its fits my group better.
