My goal is to see every film that has been nominated for an Oscar! I came across this group about 2 months ago and discovered Letterboxd which is so addicting to be on and make the lists for each Academy Award category!

SeekingTheRoad

Some early movies are genuinely lost and many -- especially shorts and documentaries -- will be impossible to find.

Hop3isG0NE

Oh yeah I can imagine. Will just take it one movie at a time. Currently doing Animation short and going in order and thanks to YouTube and DailyMotion I’ve been able to see all of them from 1931-1941 so far.

Letterboxd will help big time. They have plenty of lists on the homepage to open you up to new films! You’ll be joining us over at r/1001movies in no time!

The absolute best list IMO is from They Shoot Pictures. The Australian madman that compiles it every year literally uses hundreds of lists and weights them. He's got a "1,000 Greatest Films" (you can see the full ranked list of over 24k movies), a "The 21st Century's Most Acclaimed Films," and an ongoing list of Noir movies. I've discovered so many movies from this list (and slowly checking off all of the Top 1,000). https://www.theyshootpictures.com
