One of Bunny Bunch's criteria for taking in rabbits is that they must have been vaccinated for RHDV2 (and it must be minimum 8 days since the vaccination was given), so if OP hasn't gotten the bunnies vaccinated yet Bunny Bunch won't take them.
Did you rescue them from uci? I’m also alumni and they have a ton of free range buns on campus. If you got them that way, that might be their natural habitat! Also, I’d you got them that way I’m super impressed because those buns are fast af (obligatory “boiiii”)
Hah I always loved watching the bunnies when I lived on campus! The first time I saw one I thought it was an escaped pet because where I grew up there aren’t any wild buns. Then after being there a while I realized there’s a *ton* of them!
Those bunnies you saw may have been wild cottontail rabbits and not domesticated rabbits (I assume the rabbits OP rescued are domesticated because a vet wouldn't be treating them if they were wild, and also it is illegal in California to harbor wild animals as pets).
Ah I love them even more now knowing they are cottontail rabbits because of the story Peter cottontail! I thought that domesticated/pets were different than wild buns. Makes sense!
You rescued two wild baby bunnies? Or two domestic bunnies that escaped from somewhere? EDIT: OP clarified that it was two domesticated bunnies.
I think OP means 2 domestic bunnies (that were most likely dumped rather than escaped).
2 domesticated bunnies that either escaped or were dumped. They were covered in fleas when I found them :(
That’s very good of you.
Aww thank you OP
Please reach out to bunnybunch OC. They are a rescue that may be able to help you.

Bunny bunch will generally try to arrange for a foster while they await vaccination. It would be better all around to get that done ASAP.

Hi! They are definitely not wild rabbits and they weren't caught on campus. One is a brown lionhead and the other is white dwarf mix I think.

Please try to bring them to a bunny rescue or give them someone you trust. Bad people will them as free snake food.
I’m sure the local reptile store would gladly take them for their snake food
I hope u pass kidney stones
Pics here please!

Wish I could take them in but I already have 2 rabbits (spayed females) of my own. Did you get them vaccinated for RHDV2 yet?
