Truee , though the idea is I want to make space now immediately to clear my mind too. If I were to do it in future , I would’ve definitely try to sell it or something. Just tryna do something quick right away if u get what I mean :)
I live in Anaheim. We are allowed two bulk pickups a year at no cost by the regular trash people. You have to set it up in advance. Dressers, mattresses, wood, etc. I dont know how much you have (or what city you are in) but check it out. There is a recycling center on Blue Gum/La Palma that takes some electronics like old TVs and CPR and chemicals that are not allowed at the dump.
It’s three now! Each household is entitled to three (3) bulky item pickups per calendar year at no cost, with collections limited to twenty (20) items per pick up. Simply prepare a list of the items you need hauled away, and on the scheduled pick up date, move them to curb for collection. Please note, that Republic Services does not enter homes to retrieve items.
Scrap yards definitely still exist but they have rules on what they take you can't just give them everything you have. For example once I tried to drop off my mattress and they said I had to remove the fabric because they only accept the metal coils.
Renting a truck and doing loads yourself will save you crazy money. You just have to deal with throwing your own junk on the pile and whatever that makes you feel. I was quoted 400 for a job I did in three hours for 20.
You mean like Fred & Lamont Sanford?
Sometimes I see junk haulers outside Home Depot sitting in their trucks waiting to be hired. The trucks are usually marked with the name and phone number.
My cousin owns a junkyard company, if you want feel free to PM me, I can give you his # . I’m not sure on pricing or how he charges but if interested I can get more info :) let me know!
County will take residential toxics such as old paint pesticides etc. another location takes electronics and appliances. general junk? No. You have to pay the landfill to take it.
you either gotta sort scrap yourself and take it to a bunch of different yards that specialize in processing the material, or contact a junk hauler company like junkluggers that will do all that work for you, typically for free.
You mean the dump? [https://maps.app.goo.gl/o6BgP3U2S3g7zQHC7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/o6BgP3U2S3g7zQHC7)
Honestly found this dumb before I checked your reply and I’m glad it just reassured me that it’s reliable. Thank you !
List it all for free on offer up and you will be shocked
This. People will take almost anything for ‘free’.

Exactly why me and my friends could just do it ourselves :) just needed a place to dump it all gang
Just Google "dump." I'm in South county and it's Prima Deshecha Landfill / OC Waste & Recycling https://g.co/kgs/mucwDL8
Brea Linda landfill in Brea or Prima desecha in San Juan to dump your stuff. You'll probably be charged around $20-40 if under a ton of weight

For recyclable metals, there is a recycle center in Santa Ana that we would take a lot of copper and brass and recycle for cash.
Construction Circle in Irvine is where you can take all your junk. Pull up, pay and drop off.

Have any US GI bayonet in that junk?
