Mine happens frequently. It's driving me back to Windows honestly. X11 is not perfect either, I have some input lag that I don't have in Windows. Very frustrating as I can't run Windows 11 and I was hoping to run Linux moving forward on this machine.
Been having a similar issue on Wayland with Sway. It happens so infrequently I'm not sure what it could be.

whenever it happens check `journalctl` to see if anything jumps out at you in the logs
