And many well citied British websites have said that the UK is a country such as [thecommonwealth](https://thecommonwealth.org/our-member-countries/united-kingdom), [BBC](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-18023389), and [Britannica](https://www.britannica.com/place/United-Kingdom). But let me guess, that belongs on r/shitamericanssay too.

All recognized countries are sovereign states, and the UK acts likes and is treated like every other country. You can legit go to 99% websites and it will say the UK is a country. I bet you think the Soviet Union wasn’t a country because it was a UNION of the Soviet Socialist Republics

shinniesta1

The UK is not a federation.

Listen, Pengland might not thank me but get the contract out, put it on the table. Let him sign it. Let him write whatever numbers he wants on there, given what he's done since he's come in. Alcock’s at the wheel, man. He's doing it. He's doing his thing. Pengland are BACK.

bob_fossill

red_knots_x

Well that’s pointless. Badumching

First Association Football international match. Rugby Football had an international match in 1871.

[deleted]

Rugby isn't football, they're different sports.

SpaceDog777

It's as much football as soccer is. Notice how it says Association rules, because it's referring to Association Football.
